holysina:

if your a first timer they will sure want to extort money from, put the money on your wallet and all so put like 2000 naira on de wallet, show them de money if they ask u, but don't give dem, give dem de 2k, they will try to delay u, just stay they with dem, and plead a llitle, they will finally stamp your passport and allow you go, they might even get angry and not collect the 2k, and if your a Yoruba guy or u no how to speak Yoruba it will be a bit easier for u, my first time i was with 2500$ and 1850 naira, they said i must give dem 100usd, eish, me told dem i cant touch de money cux i have already budgeted for it, i gave dem all de 1850 naira, dey started intimidating me dat they wont allow me fly giving so many fault, I simply called a friend who asked me to seat down they will them as if am not bothered, one guy just came and they wanted money nd the guy spoke Yoruba and they just stamp him and allow him go. at de end they got so angry and let me go with out collecting the #1850. don't give them any tin, they know first timers are always too excited that they can do anytin. a friend of mine going to Malaysia last week gave dem 300usd due to fear

Nigerian immigration staff at the Airport checking are criminals, I remember seeing a full adult dude for so bullied about parting with some money that he cried when he heard his flight announced for check-in, the look on their faces when another guy arrived and they were about to start with their bullying before the guy brought out his EU passport and with a frown on his face, lol, that is how case was immediately dismissed.

*You can either do your booking online or go to the office of the airline you want to travel with to do your booking.

*As for what to expect, try to get to the airport at least an hour before check-in time.

*Confirm the maximum weight of luggage you can carry from your airline, it is usually stated on their site and your ticket.

*Go with a printed copy of your ticket if you are booking online, look for your airline and go through the check in process.

*Make sure you do not carry things like perfume, body spray, mug or anything that could harm people in your hand luggage, they usually seize it. But you can put them in your normal luggage.

*Once you check in, be attentive for the call to board your plane.

*Once on the plane, find your seat and ask for help with the seat belt if you can't fix it.
Finally, enjoy your ride and have a safe trip.

Please, what exactly will be announced, is it the name of the airline, and where its heading to, as is being done in some bus parks?

Most times they'll say 'this is the call for flight so and so' , the name of the airline and where it's headed. Once you are in the boarding area, you shouldn't have a problem cos you will see other people that will be on the same flight as you, just make sure you confirm and ask questions. Try as much as possible to check in on time.

Oooo, thanks. I really appreciate this. For the immigration guys, is it possible to actually pass without having to shake down? If yes, I need the best approach, please

Don't act vulnerable, if they smell jjc on you, you could part with money you don't want to spend before you know it. Try to get there early too, once they see you are rushing, they usually want to take advantage of that.
For me, I didn't pay a penny to them.

Palm oil is allowed. But why my Naija people want to carry everything each time they are traveling?

You must declare it if you are traveling with more than $10000.
