Only thing OP should worry about is exposure to blood-borne diseases. Depends on the method your girlfriend/wife and ex made the 'blood covenant'. A trip to the hospital and some lab works should reveal if there are any exposure to you and your baby. The only consequence of the covenant is health related. You thinking the covenant has anything to do with your recent problems is not taking responsibility for your life choices. All your problems in life is determined by the choices you make - career, financial, education, family, social etc. The first step to solving a problem is admitting you have one and second step is taking responsibility for the role you played. Whoever this is happening to should be prayerful. Meanwhile, oath taking should be a two way communication and agreement between 2 people. Jasen1, Blood covenants are driven by demons. The moment they made that oath, they bound themselves by some demon spirits. It was more like they willfully sold themselves to slavery and servitude. But interestingly, the scripture shows that the "lawful captives of the mighty shall be taken away and the prey of the terrible delivered", as such deliverance is possible even if it was a willful enslavement. Now an interesting twist was mentioned by Jesus, that when a demon spirit is cast out from a man, he wonders in dry places and afterward returns to his old house to see if there is room and if so, he goes and brings along 10 demons worse than himself such that the latter state of the man is worse than his beginning. (Mathew 12:43-45) Now let's for the sake of this discourse assume, she was truly delivered from those spirits, and baptized (into Christ) I suppose. But by reason of her engaging in brazen fornication, she has once again made herself vulnerable and open for the demons to return and this time she is worse off than the first. She is now at the mercies of the demons, and unfortunately demons are not the most merciful set of people. Sex is a spiritual process, that involves the binding of two people in a superior plane of existence and as such not only bodily fluids are shared but spiritual connections are also shared, this is why fornication was gravely advised against by the Apostle Paul. She is repossessed and the man that has had sex with her is possessed too. But is there a remedy? Sure there is. Both of them have to 1. Repent from the sins committed. 2. And decide not to live a life of sin anymore. 3. Believe in the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for their sins. 4. And confess him as their Lord and Saviour.
