Logically, using a new brand might change ones view and perception about the previous brand but this is not the case when both brands give him similar satisfaction. Of what difference is using a non problematic Infinix to a non problematic Xiaomi of the same price and spec range? Durability?

It isn't about seeing the light or being ignorant. The truth is that those who go for Infinix actually weigh their options and have their reasons for going for transsion products. I've used tecno, Infinix and I'm currently using an HTC 10. So you can see that some of us seeing the good in transsion product aren't doing so out of ignorance or because we're simply dwelling in the dark.

I preferred my HTC 10 to any other mtk device (not just transsion product this time) or to some Qualcomm devices because of its developer base in terms of tweaking and custom ROM availability.

I don't buy and use a phone because it's worldwide, it's unbreakable, it cait can't drop, it has timely update, best camera in the market bla bla bla. I buy and use a phone for what I need it for and what I can get from it.

P.S: Even before using Infinix phones, I've used few HTC phones. I can give you list if you want I'm an HTC fan yet I've never regretted using the Infinix hot, hot 2, hot 5 ( the hot series were my favourities then) to the Infinix note 4 pro.

I sold them because I hate sticking to one device for too long.

My verdict: Transsion products are not the best in the Africa market but they are definitely not the worst. So is Xiaomi

An option in the settings just DISAPPEARED? DISAPPEARED without doing anything? And you've not attempted modification of any sort on your firmware? In my opinion, this can only happen when you;

1. Flash a custom firmware or crapware as the case may be
2. Attempted downgrade from a disliked custom ROM to stock ROM
3. Attempted downgrade from an update/upgrade...
4. Flashing with the wrong stock ROM build.

What else...? And No. This is not a malware attack as some people might think.

I'm not insinuating that the fault is yours but mhen, a settings option disappearing after 5months of usage is like smoke caused by something. You might want to think about what you or someone else was trying to do on the phone.

Soln: You should backup your data and files then attempt a factory reset. (This has less chances of fixing it though). If it works, good for you otherwise your best bet is flashing the stock firmware.

Trust me, the fingerprint option didn't just disappear without a cause unless it wasn't there in the in the first place.

Name a brand people don't get scared of update, it's on Nokia, it's on Xiaomi, it's on Samsung, so I don't see any reason why users can't ask for opinions

I've constantly update any updates i get on Infinix, no probs, there is always improvement, same with Noxia, Xiaomi and SamSung I've done same

My secret is simple if my network is not fast i don't download update, keeping to that rule has always workout for me

Number 2, i download update as early as possible, not wen an update is pushed to a user , some user will wait weeks before downloading

Also i make sure all my apps on Playstore are up to date. U see i try to do wat i know will improve the performance of my device overall

OEM push update for a reason, app developer push app update for a reason, people should just learn to update their device

Imagine someone who have never update his app on Playstore for years or many month's will still come and say his device is slowing down, why won't it slow down?

He should reboot his device

If that didn't work, he should factory rest the device

If that didn't work, then he should reflash the device, reflashing should be the last resort
