I'm angry because I'm the only child of my family. They gave me good education, sponsored me from DMGS Onitsha to University. Helped me get a good job after graduation.
Dad is a Sir, Mom is a Lady (Knight ish) in the Anglican church.. Son is an atheist!!
For the past two years, they're sounding the marriage bell as if they're all going to die tomorrow. I love my mom, I love my dad. They're all I have.

Whenever am at home, I do their laundry by myself, I cook for them throughout my stay, I don't miss their birthday. I celebrate their wedding anniversary every year in the church even though I'm an atheist, every Mothering and Fathering Sunday am always @ home to celebrate with them. Every first Sunday of every month, they'll do Thanksgiving in the church I do go with them.
But they will end up comparing me to Chima( my age mate/class mate) . How Chima's wife delivered her 3rd child.
Being the only child is not easy as people think...

Well personally I feel u don't need to join usher or choir or even be a worker ,if you don't want to.
My Pastor tried tirelessly to make a worker but sorry I ain't having none of that, he later kept me malice, me sef return the malice back. He then realise he can't force me to Join, so he became friendly and warm again when i started contributing more financially in church. I can give money for the growth of the church and so far it's been a blessing to me. The Pastor sef is surprised how life has turned so well for me without being worker. Not everyone can be worker nah

My commitments outside church is much, I can't handle more with church join.
He's now calm and I feel he appreciates the role of giving money better sef .

Any ways don't choke yourself with too much responsibilitiesif u know u can't handle it.
I hate being pressured, I love being free. You can make yourself happy and choose your path with no apology to anyone.

It's not hard dear, simply ignore them.
Choose selective blindness, selective deafness and ignore. The for the stubborn ones, who feel women are for sex, cut them short abruptly with a harsh tone and they will withdraw quickly lol

Keep a frowned face while walking, they will stay clear from you.
Don't worry with time, u will learn to ignore their eyes . I did anyways.

Diversity in religions. My best friend is a Muslim lady and I'm always intrigued how we get on well , she's so motherly, even though she's 24 Years , while I'm in my 30s. It always amazes and amuse me. She knows my mumu button
