THANKS ALOT , heard on this forum that u can use marriage act certificate(form E) don’t know how true is that.
ladymarshall:
Court marriage certificate.

If ECA has not been done, you would need waec as a requirement to evaluate your degrees if you decide to use WES as an ECA body. You need to digest page 1 thoroughly here https://www.nairaland.com/5187408/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled#78386475

My advice would be to submit the passports for COPR as they requested.

Then send a respectfully worded email to these emails
ACCRAIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca and
accra.immigration@international.gc.ca kindly requesting for BIL for his wife. He can also try this one accra@international.gc.ca Let him attach screenshots of previously sent emails to this new one or make reference to them in the new email.

And wait and see.

Regarding the refund, if CIC has decided the wife does not need BIL (which I think is unlikely), he will get his refund. But he has to be patient for that. Sometimes, the refund could take days, weeks or months.

Liz2014:
Guys, please need some advise on behalf of my brother. His application was previously approved and then cancelled so he could include his spouse.

On may 27th, He submitted forms required for adding spouse and paid all fees stated including biometrics as his wife is accompanying him, his wife's UCI was updated in his profile after a week. He sent an email after another week that he is still waiting for BIL for his wife. They replied that application is in process and VO will send request for any documents required. Last week, he got a request letter for PPR in his cic account that visa is ready to be issued for them.(this is good news in a way cos of the speed but what about biometrics fee they have paid for)

He has not received BIL up till now, they have until next week to submit these passports. He emailed again last week asking for BIL, no response.

Is there a direct contact for accra office or a more direct way to get their attention? he is trying to avoid any future issues here. . Its frustrating cos these people do not seem to respond to specific questions, just generic emails.
If they do not want her to do it, they should let them know and I guess the $85 will be refunded?

No you don’t. Masters degree only is what you evaluate to claim points
PreciousRuby:
Hello house,

I have a Masters degree and I have requested for my transcript.

Please do I need to also send my BSc transcript or just the certificate as my account is showing that the transcript is being expected. Kindly assist so I can attend to this asap.

Secondly, I urgently need a contact in Unilag to assist with my transcript processing. Thank you ahead.

It is not an issue. CIC will verify using the official contact details of the company on the letterhead, if they decide to contact at all

Brtrue:
Good day everyone,

I have a question and I will appreciate your response.

I got a reference letter from my old place of work, and although the letter head paper has the phone number and the PMB of the company, the person that signed did not include his contact details.

My question is if this matters.

TIA.

They still need immigrants. I think the issue is with refugees and illegal entry to the country

We appreciate you for checking in with us.

Page one of this thread is most important. It has everything basic, check here https://www.nairaland.com/5187408/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled

Diploma+BSC could be evaluated as two or more certs by WES based on previous sucesses but I am not sure about Uniben’s diploma, perhaps other Uniben alumni who are more informed on it could respond more authoritatively.

Are you asking if a Bachelors degree in Engineering would be evaluated as a Masters degree? Why would you think so? Or perhaps I misread the question. Engineering is not evaluated as a professional degree for EE application tho.

@Avidreader748 has a Neco contact in Minna

nwabuzorjuliet:
Good afternoon everyone,
First I want to appreciate the one who began this thread; God bless you oo. And to everyone that has contributed to the progress of this thread, may heaven smile on us all.
I am new here, spent a good number of days on the part 1, yet couldn’t read it all. I had to start reading 20pages in front& 20 pages at the back for the other parts too. Only to get to the end and I see ‘thread closed’ and a link to the next. I believe i’ll catch up gradually.

I just booked my ielts for next month and trying to figure out what my CRS score would be with regards to qualification (Although I just started the process of obtaining my transcripts from Uniben for assessment by WES). I have a 2years diploma from Uniben which I used for direct entry into the same university to earn a BSc. Please is it possible that this would be evaluated as two or more certificates?

Also my fiancé studied BEng in Mechanical engineering (5 years course). I want to confirm if it would be evaluated as a masters degree or professional degree. Although, I think so from what I read. I understand we need to tie the knot to be able to get points from each other.

Also please does anyone have a NECO contact in Lagos?

I would appreciate a response. Thank you.

The most authoritative confirmation you will get is from ICES website, not here and according to them, official transcripts by the institutions can be sent to through that email.

https://www.bcit.ca/ices/eca/requirements/index.shtml

happyme31:
Please can someone confirm that transcripts can be sent to this email: icesinfo@bcit.ca or is there a separate email for transcripts.

naaa doesn't work that way. have you forgotten refugees, international student, those on work permit visa, spousal sponsorship, entrepreneur program? e.t.c they all would amount to that said figure.

No please. He's referring to express entry invitation and that is exclusive.

Hi Fam! It has been a while! Last week was an extremely busy one for me! Finally, i have caught up with the thread! Congratulations to all the IELTS smashers, ITA and PPR clinchers.

Meanwhile, i am worried. My husband and I received BIL. We went for biometrics today and wiithin an hour, our profile reflected Biometrics completed. However, medical is not reflecting passed. Has this happened to someone before? Should we be worried? Does this happen sometimes? What is the implication of this?
Please elders and knowledgeable e-fam, i look forward to your advice and inputs

Please guys when I registered with ICES I paid only 200$ but after I came across the info on the thread I realized I should have paid 275$ instead to include delivery. I'm grateful to God.

If you provided a Canadian address, then you are good to go. $275 is for delivery to Nigerian address

Good evening people,

Is it possible to apply for express entry and for a masters degree in Canada at the same or how risky is it?
I need to explain to my sponsors, as they are suggesting I do that.
Pleases elders kindly give me an answer. Thanks.

It is not a big deal. You can apply for your Master's. When you get the offer, you wait till you get your PR.
Then write to your school that you've PR. This will enable you to pay local fees.

Chai, been a few days away.

Congrats to all IELTS smashers, ITA grabbers, Completed ECAs. Every other new level achieved.

Just wanted to address some few things, as i get a lot of calls. I am not a waec staff, I just have tiny mosquito leg inside.

WAEC had a backlog due to exams. The whole of May applications were barely touched just the few lucky ones.

Please, what hope does someone with 1989 waec do, is the process same speed as post 2000s?

Please what do I need to do in order to migrate to Canada with a permanent resident visa?
Elders should please mentor me, I need to be on the right track.

I think they still need high skill workers, remember majority of their work force will be retiring soon. But they don’t want illega immigrants and the asylum seekers.
