If I get you, what you are trying to know is if we can make what Christ has done useless because of our sins.

No we can't, because we as humans will always sin as long as we are in this flesh. It is those sins Jesus came to take away.

Mathew 1:21
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Now, does that mean we now have a licence to sin? No, we don't.

If you believe you can lose your salvation, read this thread:

Nobody is saved already. So far you're still alive, you can't be saved because you're human and you can still mess up at anytime. He who is standing should be careful so that he doesn't fall. The admonition from Paul is that we should work out our salvation with the fear of falling out of the way to the Kingdom. You're afraid of loosing out, hence we'll be careful in how we live our lives. Salvation is your way of life. It's a continuous process till when the end comes. If a man living a clean life for 30 years and he suddenly start living a bad life and dies.... How will God judge him? So how can you say he's saved?
Thatz how they manufacture revelations that fit the life they've always wanted ...effectively ruling out the need for obedience to God's word.

Don't mind these false teachings peddlers, all they do is listen to these celebrity pastors who preach to justifies their conscience of numerous scandals they are, twisting the word.. Many of these preachers are not godly, hence they preach to deceive people who want to keep sinning and yet believing to be covered by grace that took a whole life of sinless soul.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
His mere professing to believe in Christ all, even Christ said we should abide in him, could that be just to mere believing, he told us to obey and keep his commandments is that just mere profession? We can only be His friend when we do so and not just believing and slip to sin and keep on saying we must sin as long as we're on earth and still being saved.

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of f men, who HOLD the TRUTH IN UNRIGHTEOUSNESS { Keep sinning, yet shouting I'm covered}
Bro, don't mind these fellows, read the book of Roman and James, and pray for proper understanding.
We will all stand alone to be judged, God expected us to live a life that is dead to sin. Romans 6:20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. Now tell me how we sin and still righteous..
whoever you are God bless you richly.

Why do people consider it such a BIG deal for God to KEEP whomever He saves forever SAVED?
Even in the face of Jude 1:24, Hebrews 7:25, John 10:28-29, Hebrews 5:9, Hebrews 10:14 and lots of other scriptures that EXPRESSLY revealed this.
How do people look directly into the scriptures and comfortably call the truths of God's Eternal Salvation a lie?
It is one thing for you not to understand a thing, it is another thing to REFUSE to understand it regardless of how clear it has been explained to you from the scriptures.
The later is not a character we have learnt of Christ, if truly we are His followers!

Philippians 2:12 is one of the most highly misunderstood verses of the scripture. This wouldn’t have been so if we had never mastered the act of lifting scriptures out of context and making it say what it was never meant to.

In a bid to discredit and prove the Truth of eternal salvation wrong, most people have greatly misconstrued this beautiful verse of the scripture.

(Php 2:12) Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

What was Paul the apostle trying to say here? What does this verse really mean?

First, unlike what is popularly believed out there, this verse isn’t asking you to work for your salvation. It said work it out.

I really need you to understand that to work out your Salvation is not the same as working for it. When people read this verse, they often make the mistake of thinking they are the same. They think the verse is asking you to do something (good things) in order to produce or receive your own salvation.

This is a very wrong notion because as important as our good works are, they count for nothing when it comes to being a criteria for salvation. They cannot merit or provide that wonderful experience for us. That is why Salvation is a gift.

(Eph 2:cool For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

(Eph 2:9) Not of works, lest any man should boast.

As a matter of fact when it comes to Salvation, our good works (self righteousness) are counted before God as used or dirty sanitary rag.

(Isa 64:6) But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

It is that useless when used as a criteria for receiving Salvation. This is why Salvation is a complete gift of God’s grace received only by Faith. Not merits.

The statement “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling” was an apostolic instruction Paul gave to the Philippian church, charging them to live uprightly as those who have received God’s salvation already within their spirits.

He wasn’t asking them to live uprightly in order to receive salvation. That is to work for it. He was asking them to live uprightly because they have been saved already. The next verse to that one throws more light, take a look at it.

(Php 2:12) Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

(Php 2:13) For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

God works within you so you let the world see it. Let what God has done within you reflect on the outside. In your words and conducts. Since you are saved, live like it.

The instruction is similar to what Jesus said to His disciples after calling them the Lights of the world.

(Mat 5:14) Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

(Mat 5:15) Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

(Mat 5:16) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

So as Christians, the whole of Philippians 2 encourages us to live the life of Christ on the earth. Not so as God would pat us on the back and offer us His salvation as a reward for our good living. It is simply because we have already received that Salvation as a gift, empowering us us to live righteously in this crooked world.

It is like the popular song, “Let the world see Jesus in your eyes….” How can they see Jesus in your eyes or life if you don’t already have Him living within you? How can you work out your salvation if you don’t already have that salvation given to you?

You have received the workings of God within you (Salvation) so you let it reflect in your lifestyle (work it out). That is what Philippians 2:12 is saying, not the other way round.

I hope this blesses you.

Glory to God, our Saviour and King!

Can you mention one man that is without sin? I bet you can't. That means no man will make heaven according to you.

Yes, people are sinning, but that's cos they are in the flesh which wars against the spirit. The spirit is saved and will make heaven, but the flesh just wants to do fleshy things.

You don't even have scriptures to back your false belief

All I see is a man overcome by sin, trying to justify his life of sin under the guise that we are saved in our spirit and our flesh can hence do whatever it wants to do.
Living a life of sin is different from committing a sin, in the former the man has made the life of sin a habitual practice, "He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God."(1 John 3:8‭-‬9 KJV) but in the latter, a man can be overcome by his flesh and give in to a sin, at the instance of committing that sin he would have the Holy Spirit which he received in his spirit witness to him about what he had done, and in such situations did Apostle John admonish "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous..."(1 John 2:1 KJV) at the nudging of the Holy Spirit, one confesses the sin committed and receives pardon.
To imply that a born again Christian could continue in sin because he is after all still in the flesh is anathematic.

If a person receives the gift of Salvation but fails to live uprightly after he is saved, he loses his rewards for good works IN heaven not his salvation. This is because Salvation is NOT a reward for the good we have done but a GIFT which we simply received by faith, independent of our actions.
The believer who thinks his actions after salvation does not matter is a BIG TIME JOKER. Because we shall ALL (believers now) appear before the judgement seat of Christ to receive rewards for our actions right here on earth. However, that judgement is not to determine if we are to enter heaven or hell. It's simply to determine the nature & magnitude of our rewards. If we never lived right we'll still be saved but disqualified from receiving any reward, an experience Paul calls to be a "castaway"
I hope everyone reading this clearly understands that we're NOT saying it is OK to sin because we've been saved forever, God forbid that.
https://feedmejesus.com doesn't teach that

I have always maintained for years that GOD is no longer with Christianity. I didn't then think it in me to believe they therefore have no hope. But now I am beginning to realise - with all I continue to see of Christendom - that when that city supposed to be sought is come, all that is Christian will be of all men most miserable.

Thanks. I some how have the same story with you. though I didn't grew to the level healing people but I could attest to the fact that I was growing in faith and spirituality. I could live for weeks without committing any sin. I started speaking with other tongues. But then, I started backsliding. Like you, I started struggling with porn and lying. But do you know what I have come to understand, I have come to understand that I was doing things with my own strength. I was living thinking that since God have save me, I should live the rest of my life trying to live a righteous life. But do you know what, this was not God meant when He gave Christ. He gave us Christ that we would be Holy, unblameable and unreproveable in his sight(col 1:22). So we are forever holy and unblameable in God's sight. So now, I have now seeing myself as God sees me, not minding that I still struggle with sin. I still fall something, but this time is different when I fall. When I fall, I don't fell condemned like before. I go on my knees and ask God for forgiveness. Though am still struggling, but I know I will overcome. but in the sight of God, I am still holy and unblameable, not because of my behavior, but because of what Christ has done. this is the only way I see myself. I hope this help you. I would like to know you. I don't know how to pm, I would have sent you one. this is number 09011848519. Thanks
Pls,stop trying to form a teaching that suit your interest.
You can live a holy life,I don't mean self righteousness.
If you have actually sincerely had an encounter with Jesus, you will know you can live a holy life.
Anybody that told you that you can't live a holy life after experience the three work of grace, salvation, sanctification & Holy ghost baptism is from the pit of hell.
With the help of the Holy spirit that comes into you the moment you're sanctified, you can live a holy life,as long as you continue in fellowship with God,but once you draw back,God have no pleasure in your soul.
And there's nothing like the holy spirit is already living in a man, that once you're saved, it quickens it to work, holy spirit cannot be living in a man that's not sanctified, even if you have experienced the first work of grace, salvation.
You can only experience the power of the Holy spirit when you pray for sanctification.
At sanctification, that's when the comforter comes into a believer to guide him/her to do the work of God ,& be able to live a sin free life.
It's a beautiful experience.

You can't because you have experienced those works of grace & continue to feel you're forever saved, holy & unblamable before God,you're not.
Once you draw back, the present of God leaves you.
The speaking in tongue, you won't anymore, unless you're among those gullible people that believe once they open their mouth & start speaking gibberish in church, that's the holy spirit speaking through them.
They know deep down them how empty they feel.
Only when you're sanctified & feel the present of Holy spirit that you can feel the power of speaking in tongue.

Speaking from experience.

Sir,the standard of God is very high, the cross is very heavy, only few can really give up earthly pleasures for God,even though the grace is available to all.
Their is nothing like once saved, forever saved.
Only those that felt since they experienced the work of salvation, it's enough, and lo,they find themselves struggling with bisecting sins, believe that gospel that they are forever saved.
Once you ask God for sanctification, true sanctification, you will see that mere salvation is not enough.
You need His present to guide you through as you journey through life..
Good morning..

You didn't get the point. I didn't say I can't live a holy Life. I am living a holy Life. What I trying to say is that I don't feel condemned when ever I fail to live a Holy life. unlike before that when ever I fail, I feel condemned. I feel like I am worst than any ever. so I won't go to God and ask he for forgiveness. instead, I feel Good will not answer my prayer,so I continue falling and failing my myself. if I had know God's grace is sufficient for through the Lord Jesus, I won't have blackslided. Don't fake it, we sometimes don't live up to what is required

Lolz... Rhee..a..ally!? What about if I take my own life? I'm going to heaven too? Abeg which church dey teach u all these things?
Why would the same Paul that has suffered beatings and imprisonment care about what people would say if he knew/meant he would still make heaven?

No thatz not why the person died ... I don't know if u did the believing for the person for u to discredit it.. And using your defective shipwreck quote: If someone is cast away from a travelling ship containing others.. hasn't the journey of the deserted one been truncated till he gets right by restoring fellowship?

Therez no Christianity without character this your gospel is obviously the k-legged version.

In Galatians, the people received the gospel of grace and we're saved. But with time, they began to do works( of righteousness as it were), thinking that they needed "works" to be made perfect. But apostle of Grace, that is what Paul is called , rebuked them and told them that salvation and continuing in salvation is all about believing that the Finished WORK of Christ is sufficiently all that is required in the sight of God.

READ BELOW:
Gal.3.1 - O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified?
Gal.3.2 - This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Gal.3.3 - Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?
Gal.3.4 - Have you suffered so many things in vain--if indeed it was in vain?
Gal.3.5 - Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?--
Gal.3.6 - just as Abraham "believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness."
Gal.3.7 - Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.
Gal.3.8 - And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, "In you all the nations shall be blessed."

Nnamnsoj:
sir please read 1 John 3:8-9 and interpret it yourself. please don't mislead people or better still know the word you use. The truth is GOD hate sin, don't make it look like God will co-live with sin.

Your good works and works of righteousness means nothing to God. Human effort at doing good equals to zero in the sight of God.
Jesus Himself said seek the kingdom of God, and God's righteousness ( not any other kind of righteousness nor any effort of self ).
Human effort and attempt at righteousness = Human righteousness.
God's own righteousness = His/God's own righteousness

Matt.6.33 - But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

QUESTION: How do you get Human righteousness?
ANSWER: By doing all the ten commandments and every other commandments in the book of Deutronomy. Good luck doing that. Note: even of you succeed at them, God is still never impressed. You are born with sin already.

QUESTION: How do you get God's righteousness.?
ANSWER : You can't get it except God gifts you His righteousness. Righteousness of God is a gift from God once you receive and believe in Jesus' ability to save you completely and continually being able to save you irrespective of your actions.

Rom.5.17 - For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

NOTE: the bolder words

QUESTIONS : why can't my sin invalidate my salvation?
ANSWER
1. A man is a sinner because of what Adam did, irrespective of whether he works good or bad.
2. Similarly, and even much more, a believer is righteous because of Christ's own obedience and righteousness, irrespective of what the believer does in works.

I wonder why people believe that sin is so much more powerful than grace.
A simple Grace is far much more efficient than Sin at affecting a man...
Much More they that receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness....

Rom.5.17 - For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
Rom.5.18 - Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.
Rom.5.19 - For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous.
Rom.5.20 - Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,

Those men up there, Adam and Jesus, determines a man standing. Not the man's own works or personal efforts.

If you believe Jesus death is able to once and for all times cleans you from your sins, then you are saved. But if you believe that his death is powerless in some situations then you are not truly saved. You have denied Him and His able Power.

1John.1.7 - But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

The Greek passage above says "cleanses and CONTINUES to cleanse us from ALL..."

it's like putting a dirty cup under a tap of water. And continue to fill it. The cup is filled. However, The tap is still kept running. What happens with time is the cup will overflow and all the dirt will be removed continually because of the continues inflow of water.
That is what the blood of Jesus does to us . As we continuing believing in Jesus ability to cleanse us and continually cleans us. All bad habits with time will leave. All weak life that we don't like will leave us with constant believing in the washing power of Jesus. All sins (as people call them)., I call them weaknesses, not sins.

A believer can't sin and can't have any sin.:

1John.3.9 - Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

A believer cannot sin even if he makes a mistake. He can't sin. It is not counted unto him. It's never recorded in the sight of God.
David foresaw our times, the time of Jesus., and he said:

Ps.32.1 - Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
Ps.32.2 - Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit.

This is the case of a believer in Jesus.

QUESTION : Why can't a believer Sin? Why is his sin not affecting him before God?
ANSWER : the righteousness is not his own to begin with. YOU CAN'T loose what is not your own. It's only a gift:

Isa.54.17 - No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me," Says the LORD.

And their righteousness is God's own.

You can't loose what's not yours to begin with.

This is the problem with you proponents of this new gospel. ..simple practical question... you are giving me 8 verses of unrelated scripture.
Nobody said we are saved by works.. but the fact that you are saved doesn't exempt you from your responsibility to continual fellowship and service. Christianity has a code of conduct ... People should be able to identify you as a Christian by biblical standards... and if you as a christian decide to abandon the ways of God and misbehave you are saying you no longer belong to him...God will not force you into heaven.

When people want to justify their rudderless lives they start manufacturing Revelations.
This una diabolic grace grace irresponsibility message is why one characterless pastor has started disgracing Christianity again.
For that one case sef I'm not surprised. Na them

God forbid, sin is what Christ has already defected , you just need to believed and be saved.

And not just believing, but also being ready to suffer for Jesus sake as Philippians 1:29 and other passages made us to understand

I read the first thread, I didn't go through the rest. Recently, I start writing a book concerning your stand, but I stop after almost concluding it. I love the Lord Jesus, and I want to make heaven, so I don't to do any wrong thing. Am really confused presently. I don't know if what am writing is the right thing. I don't know am being led by the Spirit of God to write it. so I stop. Don't you think one can really lose his salvation? If I fall into sin, shouldn't I be condemned. I don't know. Am really serious. this is what is happening with me presently.

Dear, thank you for coming out open with questions like this, and I really appreciate the fact that you came publicly to voice out your love for Jesus.. May God continue to give you the grace to abide in Him always..

As for your question whether one can lose his salvation or not.. I wouldn't like you to focus much on that topic.. There are so many scriptural passages that have had lots of controversies.. It is good in such cases to ask the Holy Spirit to open your understanding on such instead of approving or disproving what another person claims.. Moreover, apostle Paul warned us against arguments in 2Tim 2:23, "But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife".
And Titus said same in "Titus 3:9 - But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless".

I always tell myself this, that I'm not the gatekeeper to the Kingdom of God, neither am I one of the judges, so I wouldn't argue with anyone bringing various doctrines concerning entering the Kingdom of God, rather, I will stick to what Apostle Paul said in 1Cor.6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, (vs. 10) nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God"

aLbhagdadi is a proponent of "one cannot lose his salvation no matter what" but others have different point of views.. I'll rather you do what you know is right in the sight of God and keep staying in Christ.. In cases like this, ask the Holy Spirit to lead you. Some have misunderstood this passage thinking that once they have been saved before, that even if they consciously live in sin and die in sin that the kingdom of God is still sure for them.. Anyways, God is not an author of confusion but of peace..

May God help us all to live a righteous and holy life in this evil and adulterous world in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

The fact that you doubt going to heaven because you committed sin before death simply means you are not going to heaven. You don't believe Jesus took away your sins. You only believe he took away the past sins leaving you to be responsible for the future ones. That concept doesn't make Jesus powerful.

When the Bible said Jesus takes away sins, it never said it is the past since alone.

If truly you believed that Jesus has wiped off your past, present and future sins, you will certain know that you will still make heaven despite sleeping with your neighbor's wife. Is this a licence to sin? No. Having automatic ticket to heaven doesn't mean you won't get punished for sins. You will, but it will be here on Earth, and that could be why you died on top of your neighbor's wife. But as for making heaven, it is certain.

Hello sir, the question he asked needed a yes or a no, not this epistle of yours.. He gave a scenario after which he asked if he is going to heaven.. What we need from you is either a yes or a no.. Stop beating about the bush, be direct.. angry

I tire bros

I enjoy some of alBHAGDADI's posts, but there are some that I don't hold on to, especially his stance on "once saved, always saved". Another thing I noticed with him is that when you hold him in a tight corner, he stops responding to your comments.

My brothers and sisters, don't be deceived.. That you gave your life to Christ at a point in your life does not mean Heaven is sure for you if you consciously live in sin without repenting and seeking God's help to do away with whatever sin it is.

Jesus talked about enduring to the end,
Matthew 24:12-13:
And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
Matt.24.13 - But he who ENDURES TO THE END shall be saved.

These are the words of Jesus Himself.. I believe this is in contrast to sir alBHAGDADI's belief.

I continue to believe that anyone who believes in Christ/gives his life to Christ and doesn't endure to the end, won't be saved.

By the way, alBHAGDADI is yet to answer a yes or no to your question below:

fydence:
Simple scenario please: I give my life to Christ today and tomorrow I slept with my neighbour's wife and died on top of her...

Question : Am I going to heaven?
