| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by benque: 9:36am On Jun 24, 2019 |
If you still have the option to defer then my suggestion is that u do so after you have gotten an official refusal. If you defer, you'll have time to apply for gcms and reapply properly hadigun: |

hadigun:How did your state your intentions of doing a 2yrs Diploma after a 4yrs UG program in same (similar) field? did you give convincing reasons or show a career progression/self development in such choice (Why a Diploma and not a Masters or PGC/D)? - Hence "Purpose of Visit" refusal reason amongst others. Until the refusal letter comes, you won't be able to know the complete ticked generic reason. Wishing you all the best! |

Thank you so much! I'm not in haste, I think It's better I redress my wrongs before reapplying. Any assistance? mcobex: |

GMs:You didn't mention Your Own personal account, please make sure to add that especially if there has been any study gap at all. And would be better if you will have that 4m in your own personal account. If you get that, then don't worry about your mums own, that 9m is fine because you have already paid your tuition fees. I wish you luck |

I had a 2:2 GPA. Hence, I can’t go for a direct Masters program. Also my proposed course is an upgrade of my undergraduate course, because it focuses more on GIS JustMellow: |

hadigun:Bro, don't lose hope. Just wait for the final decision and when it comes, if it's a refusal no fear just order your gcms note and tackle the reasons. With your profile, I doubt your reasons will be heavy. I was admitted to Mohawk to last year, applied for study permit which was rejected, I felt so weak when it came and my tuition was already paid for. Thanks to the wonderful gurus on this platform that made me know about gcms. I ordered and saw that my fault was just from my SOP which one agent I used messed it up. Thank God for gcms and the gurus here, if not I would have bn tackling blind reason like; how will a person with B. Sc be going for an advanced diploma. Forward to my second app, I told myself "na my mates dey do this things with dem hand" and I started it ooo. I attached all important docs. Wrote my SOP myself then asked a friend to help vet through, I even added my gcms note to my application and two extra recommendation letter from my lecturer and HOD cos I was pained where the vo said "I'm not sure you're a student". The application finally pulled through thank God. So just chill cos this Canada study permit thing requires patience and if you're to defer your admission, do that 30days before the resumption because I know how Mohawk kept me on hold since last year September to February this year. I'm not a guru, just talking from my experience. Don't give up! |

Thank you brother, Yes there's a study gap, I finished 2016, enrolled for masters 2017 in public and international affairs till date, my first degree is B.SC Agric which isn't in line with my masters so I didn't mention that, I have a registered CAC of 2 years, the 4M is in assets in my name not personal cash, I would have to get loan to take care of my personal account, I'm supposed to submit my application by August, also I'm married do I also need to fund my spouse account to show I have made arrangement for her ? Please I need help with my SOP Obehi44: |

hadigun:Hi sorry about your refusal. However I can't see documents to back up your Personal asset snd finance. Your study plan is also vital, because the VO might be skeptical about your purpose of visit. And most times when you have issues with purpose of visit travel history is also ticked. Using 3rd party sponsor will always remain a tough thing to do. Ensuring you account for the dependents of your sponsors and proving the extensive relationship that exists between you and them is also vital. Most schools expect you to confirm attendance by the 1st of August. You don't want to rush another application. I will suggest differing and working on it. Once again sorry about the refusal, there is hope Bro!. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Qudkom(m): 11:12am On Jun 24, 2019 |
obainojazz:Purpose of visit might be due to applying for a program that doesn't justify the fees, poorly written study plan among other factors. Also improper documentation of applications also sometimes cause confusion. You also probably didn't have enough supporting documents to back up your claims. The traditional thing to do is order a gcms note. P.s: I'm starting to notice gcms notes are just copy and paste this days. |
