Pls somebody should close this thread the stupidity of the comments is leaking out of my phone

Abortion is legal in so many countries but I wonder which country where rape is legal.

I'm a realist so all this sentimental religious shii don't move me. Only someone without critical thinking would try to compare rape and abortion.

Kill her, crucify her and the next victim would learn from this and keep quiet. Rape would flourish. Pursue the case. Investigate the case and prosecute as appropriate while showing the victim all the required support and tomorrow, our front pages would be hit with a thousand similar news.

You should also read my comment, I said the environment in Nigeria is NOT conducive for rape victims to boldly come out. Often times it's hard to prove rape, when the guy can just say it was consensual. Usually her word against his, when she does she is NOT BELIEVED, she is ridiculed and stigmatized. Sometimes even parents of the victim will tell her to keep quiet so as not to destroy her reputation. So tell me how a young girl can be brave enough to report a rape in Nigeria, when she will be shamed? Look at NL when a recent rape story is reported, check out the comments.

Go ask the women in your life you would be surprised at how many sexual improprieties that they have brushed off while growing up.

Well it's easier to prove your car was stolen than a rape occurred and people are more inclined to believe you and actually feel sorry for you. Most times a rape victim in Nigeria doesn't have such luxuries. A crime where a man can just say the sex was consensual, her words against his, she is accused of lying trying to bring a man down and she is shamed and ridiculed. It's less traumatizing for a rape victim to just keep quiet, put the event behind her and try as much as possible to move on with her life.

My 9 years old sister reported an attempted rape the very next day. I've also witnessed many underaged girls report rape and alarm was raised.

There is no acceptable excuse for a 17 year old not to report rape when a 9 year old can report it the very next day.

I don't know if it was, I couldn't get that from the video. She said she was raped twice and she told her parents, her brother wanted to kill him and church people interfered. The pastor came to beg her parents. Sorry, why ask if the rape was forceful?

I asked because there are different types of rape;

- Gang rape
- Date rape
- Spousal rape
- Statutory/Concented rape
- Serial rape
- Prison rape

You name it. Not every rape is forceful and not every rape is awarded the same number of sentence.

Who is to blame when a woman commits abortion? Who implants sperm in a woman? Who gives more pressure for sex in relationships? The answer is men. Men are responsible and are to be blamed for both abortion and rape.

Some 17 years olds are timid, shy, especially due to family or upbringing. It does not matter how long she had to wait before opening up, what is important is to disgrace that evil brolosho who calls himself a pastor.
