Let me explain more on that, I grew up with the mentality from my family because at this age now, it's mostly about making money and planning towards the future. So things like clubbing and hanging out for no reason ceases at this time that's usually for the 20(s) . I dont mean I dont go out but too old to be just hanging out for no reason esp when you have something productive to do. That's how I was raise ;

However one is never too old for fun.

I'm not a clubber so I won't advice one to go that way. However there are other fun recreational stuff to do other than making money. Especially if you have the cash.

Its also not compulsory one hangs out

I have issues with the family I was born into as well. If I trace any limitation in my life presently, it always go back to my family. But I've promised myself that I won't be like those people whk have offended me. Don't spend your life on the offences of people or else, children will come, they'll meet you in that state and you'll be worse than the people you were criticizing.
There's always somewhere to begin life no matter the juncture that you are. Find yours and look ahead. You'll be adding more to the sorrow on ground if you commit suicide or you allow depression to limit you. You're going to be really bright, just move on.

From the fact that my father had 2 women and nothing reasonable came from it. Leaving them, and my mother for dead, and never cared. The fact that he only talks religion, the fact that he didn't marry my mother, leaving us to be seen as worthless all over.
He was educated. Why pick my mother up and start knacking, when he had no intention of marrying.
My mother couldn't pick herself up to marry again, it left her emotional and I'm so disappointed in both of them. And he never married my mother. It's disappointing how an educated man did that.

My one and only regret is been born in a very poor family, growing up was hell, surviving was almost impossible, we were driven out of houses for due rents, mom got into this loan giving society (LAPO) with a high interest cos she got no choice,we have been living on loans for the past 10YRS,cos when she is done paying one she requests for another just to survive, dad is an okada rider, am the only guy with 3female siblings, now am in uni in my finals but my results are nothing to write home about because the only thing I think about is Home,family and the way life is treating us, I can't even assimilate, I use to be a brilliant boy but depression took that outta me,cos I mostly think about the responsibilities and how am gonna help this family drowning in wretchedness,and one of my concerns is that, where will i go after school, cos there is no home to go back to,and there is so much I can't include here, I just wish I don't give up soon, but life ain't fair

When I look back I regret never following my own wish, and dream for my life..I regret allowing my parents to influence my future decision even when it was against my will. I regret I was too scared cos I was raised to tremble in fear of my parents, to have no say. no opinion. I wish I had told my father that I will disown and disfather him when he used to threaten me that he would disown me if I disobeyed his authority and decision.

The earlier the better for you.. cos you are going to be the one to face the consequence in future...Its better to try at your dream and fail than not trying at all. When we make decision and fail, at least we can own up to responsibility and forge ahead.
Most of those fear we had about our parent then are unfounded..fear that we will be neglected..But its a big lie..even if we rebel against their decision, they will still try their best to support us unless they are not our parent.....At least the prodigal son in the Bible did worst, yet he still got some support. And again.. I've come realise that religious parent are usually the worst when it comes to parenting.. They feel they know it all, and can be too authoritarian without considering the feelings of their children. Thats why I I'm presently irreligious...

Right now, I'm starting life afresh again...its painful seeing wasted years, and reality is hitting hard....I know with another dose of patience for a couple of years I will chart another path for my life. This time...I will never listen to any advice coming from my parents again.. cos its only bad and traumatising and memories of bully I have about my childhood and growing up.
