Thanks for your response. Flight ticket for the 3 of us takes up about 76% of the budget (650k) & that's the cheapest I saw online (estimated though). My monthly expenses consists of my yearly rent (which I divided by 12). Does my savings not matter? I look forward to your response as well as from this esteemed house
giselle237:
Your salary is 467 and your monthly expenses equals 290k leaving you with a disposable income of 177k monthly.. please you cant afford to spend over 852k thousand on a 10 day trip if this is what you would write. Thats almost 5 times the salary you are declaring as your income. It is not acceptable. Pleaseeeeeeee go work on your whole budget and the people you will declare as dependents as well as your disposable income after monthly expenses. They need reduction.

Good day Mr justwise, please help me review the following budget. My wife and two kids (12 and 9 years old) is about to apply for 6 months UK tourist visa.

My wife is working with a disposable monthly income of N440,000

BUDGET BREAKDOWN FOR 3 PEOPLE
Flight (Economy return) - £1,100.00
Accommodation (13 nights)- £806.00
Feeding - £200.00
Transportation - £120.00
Tourism - £120.00
Miscellaneous - £50.00
Total - £2,396.00 (N1,081,640.00)

The total is like 200k above 2 times my wife's disposable income. My question is can she indicate that her husband will support part of the expenses by indicating the difference (200k) as what I (the husband) will be adding to the money. If yes, what document will I need to provide to back my support. Please note I will not be travelling with them.

What is your wife's/your salary?

Good day Justwise & other gurus in the house. I intend to apply for UK Visit Visa for myself, wife & 4 year old son in December. This will be our 2nd time applying as a family, as we were refused visa in 2016 for financial reasons. I had a closing balance of 750k & I proposed to spend 1m on the trip. After going through this thread, I understand now that the refusal was justified. I need second opinions & advice from this house as I reapply.

I am gainfully employed (I receive 467k) monthly & my wife, son & my dad depend on me. My monthly expenses average 290k. I presently have in my gtb account about 420k & 1.2m in my sterling bank account. My salary account is Access & I usually move all the money to my gtb, immediately my salary comes in, from where I make all transactions & save the balance to my sterling bank. My wife is self employed & has a registered business where she deals on bakery ingredients & accessories. My brother in the UK, a british citizen, will take care of our feeding & accommodation while I shall solely be responsible for other expenses. We shall be spending 10 days.

Financials
I intend to submit my 3 bank statements with the following opening balances;
Sterling - 1,013,000
GTB - 687,000
Access - 475,000

I envisage to have a closing balance in my sterling account of #2.2m & say 300k in my GTB account at the time of applying.

Expenses
I estimate to spend #852,285.20 on the trip (flight tickets, access fees to places of attraction & maybe bus passes).

I intend to submit my employment details (employment, confirmation, promotion & company introduction letters, Payslips, ID cards, TCCs)
Wife's coy CAC registration(am also a director here), coy & personal bank statements, sales invoices) - to show her strong ties to naija.
I shall also attach my land property docs as well as the usual documents (including cover letter & invitation letter).

So my people, I need your opinions, observations & advice, most especially on gaps that may not be visible to me.

I look forward to your responses.

How much does your wife make from her business?

Greetings to all the Gurus in house. Please I want to apply for UK visa for a conference in August 23rd. The organizers are going to take care of my flights and accommodation. Is it wise for me to apply judging that today is July 8th? Will it be possible to get a decision before August 23rd? If not, is there a way I can apply for a quicker decision before August 23rd? Gratitude to the house.

You have to apply for super priority service and decision about your application will be made within 2-3 days but it will cost you almost £1000 in addition to visa fees.

It depends on the sales for the month. She pays herself a certain percentage monthly, highest she has paid herself is 35k.

Vicas2000:
In June 2017, I invited my dad to visit me in the UK for three weeks, but his visa was refused.

I submitted...

1. my bank statement
2. Proof of mortgage
3. Six month payslip
4. Letter of invitation

My dad is in his 70's. A retired business trader and currently relies on me for Monthly stipend which I send via western union online to his bank acount every month.

At the time of filling the form back then. On the form..he was asked if anyone depends on him and lives with him at home and also if he had any family ties.

He 'put' on the form..Yes

And he stated in the additional information that my mum and my immediate elder brother (in his 30's) who is visually impaired 'depend' and lives at home with him as my brother needs care as a result of his medical condition. my dad stated this as family ties and he will be coming back to Nigeria.

At the time...my dad did not realise that 'dependent' as stated on the form means 'financially dependent'.

At the time...he did not submit his bank statement or any proof to show my brothers medical records.

I didn't raise an eye brow on this at the time of that application in 2017 as I had one year earlier invited my mum and she was granted a visa without submitting any of her bank statement as I was sponsoring her entire trip.

I now know better about submitting lots of proofs after reading and following this thread for the past three months!

I am now looking to invite him again. I will be sponsoring his entire trip including flight. Accommodation. Feeding.

This time looking to supply the following....

1. Mortgage statement

2. Current account And savings account Statement with £5,000 balance (will transfer £1,500 from savings to current and then to my dad's account to support his flight ticket)

3. Letter of invitation

4. Payslip six month

5. Flight itinerary

6. 12 months Proof of monthly stipend receipts that I send monthly to him

My dad will be submitting the following

1. a cover letter addressing the 2017 refusal and stating that he retired from trading business and does not have a pension and relies on stipend from me. And that he misunderstood the question that while my brother lives at home...he (dad) is not financially responsible for him as my dad is retired. The finance that care for my brother comes from monthly stipend I send to my parents every month.

2. Six Bank statement that shows the monthly stipend I send to him

3. Bank statement that shows stipends I send to my mum too

4. A medical certificate for my brother from a private hospital where he does his monthly medical check up

5. Letter from my mum stating she will care for my brother while my dad is away on this trip

I have attached the refusal letter from 2017 to this post

Will the fact that my elder brother living at home affect my dad's application as my dad is retired?

Can you good people in the house kindly advise on what else I need to add as documentation and if I am missing anything out.

I will appreciate every help I can get.

Thanks very much.

Can anyone else kindly look into this and advise me on the above please. I will appreciate every help I can get please. Thanks.

Good Morning gurus in the house

I am applying for a Tier 2 Dependent Visa and i urgently need the following information

1. Do i upload my wedding pics on TLS Contact or send them to Sheffield?

2. If i am to upload on TLS, can anyone be kind enough to tell me how to go about it?

3. In the area of communication, am I expected to tender Skype chat, WhatsApp or text messages? If it is WhatsApp, should i screenshot the chats or export same?

5. Should i screenshot my call log or approach my network provider?

6. My first and middle name was interchanged on my marriage certificate making it different from the arrangement on my passport. Is this going pose any challenge on my application?

I calculated all my expenditure for the year & divided by 12 to arrive at the average. This expenses include my annual rent, son's school fees, monthly upkeep for wife & dad, monthly feeding, utilities & other sundry expenses. If I take off my rent & son's school fees, the monthly outgoing will drop drastically. What is your opinion on these? Thanks for your clarifications so far.

Dear **************,

Your UK visa application has been dispatched from the UK Visa Section.

You will receive an email shortly from TLS about collecting your decision. Please ensure you check your e-mail account and do not attend the VAC until you are advised to.

Thanks.

I applied for 5-day priority Visitor visa on the 14th of June and I went for walk-in Biometrics on the 24th of June, 2019. The application was at "Application Received By DMC" stage since the 25th June. I am yet to receive any further update.

The trip is for a conference on the 15th of July and is company sponsored, where I currently work. I have travelled to African countries but I was refused Canadian visa around April this year, it was family sponsored. Please how else can I check the application status?

yes ideally if you are submitting your company information to establish that you are self employed... all documentation concerning your business (including bank account statement) should bear the company or business name.

a. Spousal or Family visa is different from dependant visa. For spousal visa, you need to send to Sheffield and write test with the aim to settle permanently. But for dependant visa, you dont need any test since u just want to be with your husband temporarily as he is not a permanent resident. Just upload all the documents and evidence during your visa application. You dont need to send to Sheffield.

b. Just follow the procedure stated.

c. You can screen grab or send as email message your calls, chats, logs on Facebook, phone text, instagram, whatsapp or any platform you use to communicate with your spouse. You can also use hotel bookings with your wife, picnics, flight journey bookings with your wife and any proof of sending money to your spouse as evidence of communication

d. Do affidavit

If you have gone through the normal visa process by your self then your visa sticker in y passport is AUTHENTIC But if you have given your passport to an agent without going through the visa process then your visa is FAKE.

I have said it before and will continue to say it in order to alert people that the priority visa service by TLS contact cannot be taken as true.

I know some persons have received a decision in about 10 days (other persons without the priority visa service have also gotten a decision within 10 days) after biometrics submission but TLS contact stated on its website that the application will be processed between 5-7 working days and I am yet to see anyone that has used this service and has gotten a decision within this time frame.

It's simply a waste of money and an endurance of unnecessary pressure. I stand to be corrected.
