Like 60 wins? Kawhi in LA?

lol as if it is not the same Boogie Cousins I already told you you were going to get.

If you were so sure of your player you would not need Kawhi.

About Boogie, there is plenty examples of other players who had such injuries and it took them a whole season to get their feet under them. This season I expect Boogie or Gordon Hayward to be the comeback story cause both have had some game reps to get up to speed

What changed about the Rockets? Apart from losing to GSW (who have their button) and perhaps the seeming discord between the star players they were 65 wins in 2017, 50+ wins in 2018 with all their injuries and tied 2-2 with GSW (With KD still on the team). The fact of the matter is, between 2017-18 only GSW would have beat the Rockets. They play this Raptors without injuries and they would have won. Now people have kept them aside. I don't see anything to shout about Denver. They are the ones who look like regular season hipsters. They had no reason to lose a game 7 against the Blazers without Nurkic last season. Perhaps, maybe that is why I don't respect them as such. Philly definitely improved with Al Horford joining. But they look top heavy as well so I know they are good but that is their asterisk. There is absolutely nothing the Lakers will add that will significantly change their fortunes. Nothing. The better players in the trade block have found franchises. Don't let this fake analysts create a narrative that won't see the light of day. Ask yourself one question, if Kawhi had stayed back in Toronto and the Clippers got some of the players that now went to the Lakers will anyone start telling us that the Clippers improved? So what changed?

And please don't tell us about AD and Bron improving people around them. We know that to be almost completely false. See George Hill and Rodney Hood for example. We also saw AD in Pelicans with a coach they claimed was the brain behind GSWs 2014/15 title. So what changed? What will he do differently?
It's funny how you keep saying LeBron is getting old and at the same time asking what changed about the Rockets. Is that not flat out ignorance/hatred for LeBron? Like he's the only one that gets old. Lol. For you one more year for LeBron probably makes him more useless(which isn't the case if you look at the rising stats in the past few years), but one more year for CP3 and he remains the same, or even better.

the hype around kwahi is too much

Blame LBJ if Lakers didn't show interest, noise wouldn't be this loud

Suddenly clippers are a force, Paul George and kwahi

For the rockets, CP3 will be another year past his prime for one thing. Capella was exposed by GSW last year, so unless they somehow improve that roster I don't see the rockets making the WCF.
For Denver, the previous season they did not make the playoffs, last season they made it to the 2nd round and only lost IMO because of lack of experience. Now they are the only team with both continuity and with players who still have upside I.e jokic, Murray etc.
As for the Lakers I'm buying them as favourites, but if the PG13 trade has taught us anything, it is if the FO of a franchise is willing to go all in, it can make things happen.

You keep using GSWs success to judge the Rockets lol. GSW is the team Rockets were assembled to match. So Capella was exposed by GSW not Utah or any other team prior. And CP3 is not known for his athleticism. So age barely plays a role away from him being injured when he is needed. CP3 is a PG with great passing, midrange and free throw shooting. Something no other player on the Lakers roster can do better than him. None. And they have snipers on their perimeter. This is an aside from being a team that has gelled not one with an identity crisis. If your analysis is based on CP3 alone. That is a serious own goal.

LOL. Boogie can't run up the court, can't defend and can't jump as well any more. There are still good aspects to his game, but he will be abused on defence and teams will just push up the pace against this Lakers team. LOL.

Can Lebron shoot? nope. Free throws? nope. Defend? Not like before. So what are the upsides to his game? Barrelling into players, traveling and dunking? Yea. Those are the very things that father time exposes the fastest. I ignored your daft post about a groin injury because you are the same idiot who did not listen to GSWs own injury so save that for the marines.

Lol, LeBron had a season changing groin injury, don't act like you don't know. But it's OK, he's Superman in your eyes so I get it.

Us trying to get Kawhi was us trying to be 99.9% sure of winning the title. We've been grossly irrelevant for way too long and I can understand the desperation. But without Kawhi, we're still one of the favorites, although haters like you and Skip think otherwise.
Why did they lose as many games as they won when he came back?

Thank you Eruditor.. You just explained the reason why I said this Lakers team cannot beat the Rockets (at least the Rockets team we saw last season). There will always be the hype (with or without AD and co.) because this is LBJ's team and na Lakers, but with what I am seeing, this Lakers team is not invisible. A very strong team when healthy, but any injury to LBJ or AD and them don enter panic mode. WC go smoke this coming season, I believe more surprises r still coming. I'm making a list of the top 25 players in the NBA currently. Its based on Morey's quote that only 25 guys matter as it pertains to deciding the league's narrative next season.
Finding it hard to decide on some names though. But in no order.
Lebron, KD, AD, Steph, Kawhi, PG13, Klay, Harden, Giannis, Embiid, Jokic, Lillard, Kyrie, Westbrook, KAT, Jimmy Butler, Aldridge, Deroazan, Bradley Beal, Ben Simmons, Luca Doncic, Donovan Mitchell, Kemba Walker, Kyle Lowry, and finally Kevin love.

Tbh, this season will give me a chance to rest and watch basketball without threatening palpitations. For the first time in a while I don't have expectations like before, so that should help me. In other words, I humbly decline the Clippers bandwagon even though I know they have the best chance when fit. Defence wins you titles, and they have it.

Your own book is wrong and I don't really care about Max Kell anymore because he is paid to say dumb shit. Harden gasses out in the playoffs, yes, but so does everyone else. Even Kawhi was tired in the playoffs. Are they iso heavy? Yes. Precisely why their style though efficient against others, failed to overturn GSW. Because they could not stay efficient enough to compete. Problem is, that same style will be efficient against 95% of the rest of the NBA. You can bookmark this post. If they stay healthy and maintain the same core. They are better than the Lakers.

And how much did father time expose his barrelling into players and getting to the rim last season? He had better numbers than the season before, so unless you can come up with evidence that father time is slowing him down, don't come up here giving me rhetoric analysis.

And Chris Paul is the second best player on that Rockets team so it's not out of place to zero in on him.

Lebron Cannot shoot. Every fool knows it. But you are less than every fool so I understand why you don't know or see it. LOL @ Better numbers. With all the usage, lack of efficiency and stat-padding. Do you pray for a brain during your spare time? Why do you think nobody talked about Russell's triple double but instead praised PG 13 on the same team or why did Harden not win MVP in spite of his historic numbers? Three syllables: Stat- Pad- ding. That is the answer.

Ok. Father time is not slowing him down. Make we dey watch. I am eager to hear the excuses you would make. I already know Vogel will be blamed for it. Which reminds me, last season, Lakers were ranked higher than the Raptors before the season began. Then they did not even make the playoffs whilst the Raptors won the chip.

I almost wanted to ignore the rubbish about CP3 but may be just may be there is still an aspect of your brain that is not maggot infested. CP3's game was never based on the things age steals from players which is why the Rockets had no fear in giving him a huge contract. If your analysis of the Rockets chances are based on CP3 you are just typing for the sake of it.

I remember when they said the young Lakers core won 35 games without Lebron and so with him they will win 50 games. EL-O-EL
