Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by TallTony75: 12:30am On Jul 12, 2019
My journey has been rough my people. in 2016 I got a tire 4 dependent visa as my wife did her college, bsc and masters degree in the UK. When she started her MSc i decided to join her Nov 2016. When she was rounding up her course, I enrolled for Msc Networking course. Came back to Nigeria August 2017 as i can't switch my visa within the UK. I applied Tier 4 student Oct 2017 but to my surprise I got refused because Eco said i waited for my tier 4visa to run out before applying for a tier 4 visa and my response on my future plan was generic. Based on probabilty he is not satisfied am a genuine student. I file in for AR but it was unsuccessful. I was depressed is on under statement. i applied to so many schools but the refusal kept working against me.
This year 2019, I applied to About 8 schools. Got unconditional place for offer for three , Middlesex, Hertfordshire and central Lancashire universities. Middlesex told me they can't sponsor me because of my previous refusal. My people i was depressed, really felt like giving up. But I push on. i decided to pay the deposit for Uclan, got my CAS on 18 of August. Made my online application on July 1st , submitted my biometrics on 9the July ( SPV) I was strongly advice by the admission team to use that service Because of my previous refusal. got my Visa on the 11the July,

I encourage everyone on this road never give up... Keep pushing... Cheers

Glory to God for his faithfulness.

Thank you so much for your prompt reply.
Am choosing kings cos of the prestige and they have the 1st and best nursing school, though i applied to 4 other schools in which Greenwich was among but i didn't get offers
My aunt plans to accomodate for 6months. Though we plan to be accomodated for just 3months and she says my partner can get a job in 3months
I also have an offer for university of bedfordshire which is cheaper but na name we dey chase. I think i better i rethink my decision as you don put fear for my mind. Is it really that hard staying back even as a nurse?
You can stay as a nurse. You are needed there
Also go for shared accommodation then when you are settled you search for a flat just to reduce cost.

Hello all, a quick question. Is the health surcharge paid together with the visa fee?
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by kkk09man: 10:57pm On Jul 12, 2019
Good evening people,

Please all the Gurus in the house (Justwise and co) I need some advice
My wife got a scholarship from a multinational company to go for her PhD studies in UK. We have 3 children and all of us are planning to go together since the study will take upto 3 years. We have funded our joint account to use as proof of funds coupled with the letter from the sponsor. But the letter clearly states the offer is for 1 year with the dates stated. And it says it is renewable.

Someone advised we apply for one year visa since thats what the letter states, but I would want the 3 years visa granted so I can apply for part time masters while I'm working

Someone else raised a concern that if we apply for 3 years visa which we are planning to, that we should expect to be asked at interview how to continue studies if the scholarship is not renewed? To this we are not even sure how to answer.

1. Should we go ahead with the 3 years visa application or apply for the 1 year and hope to renew visa over there?
2. Is it really necessary for dependent spouse to be working and show proofs of employment too?
3. We will be travelling many states to enter Lagos for TB screening and probably visa interview and biometrics. We are looking to get everything done in one trip of 3 to 4 days. Is this possible? If yes, How?

Thanks we need to settle these issues

There is nothing like one year or 3yrs visa, if your wife's study period is 3yrs then she will get 3yrs visa, if the scholarship did not cover the whole family then you have to provide fund for you and the 3kids(Which is more important than other questions you asked)

Make sure that you meet the dependeat financial requirements if the scholarship did not cover the whole family.

2. please clarify that question as i don't quite get that

3. Yes its possible to do the biometric and interview the same day.
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Zoey1: 2:17pm On Jul 13, 2019
Since she has scholarship that covers year, her own financial req for visa application is covered.
Sort the one for you and the kids,UKVI does not require you keep money for the duration of studies that exceed a year ,you might be asked how you intend to get money for the remaining years at interview but you need not have the money in your account.
She will get a visa for the duration of her studies you can't choose one year or two years, UKVI makes that decision.
You can make your trip once by mailing IOM choosing your date, submit your application to pick visa date within same week. Then go to Lagos do your Test and hope it comes clean, if it does ,you get result in an hour then proceed for visa interview.
You can choose visa date first ,then IOM.
That's how to run it.
Success.

In addition, I don't think you can do a part time masters since you will be on dependent Visa.

You need to google for scholarship and admission opportunity. Check scholarship website for opportunities and not on visa pages.

There are many numerous scholarships and they have their deadline. As a first class holder, u should be eligible for many:

Chinese government scholarship
https://www.nairaland.com/4943935/apply-2019-bsc-msc-phd, AGIP, NDDC, Shell, PTDF, FSB, Chevening, Commonwealth shared, Commonwealth, Singapore e.t.c. Some schools in USA, UK, Austratlia, Singapore, Canada and many more give full scholarships too.

Check scholarship websites for current scholarship info: https://www.afterschoolafrica.com/,
