Please who transfered the required €8829 recently to Fintiba?
I want to have an idea of the local bank charges for the transfer.

Thank you,
Yusuf

But one can fund before the interview. You'll just go with the confirmation document sent from your BA bank. Gaskiya

bjayNL:
May I ask why it is not advisable to fund account before an appointment date please...

Any particular view opinion or reason?

Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by yusuftosin: 1:23am On Jul 15, 2019
What information did you provide for Fintiba when you've not gained AD? Funding is not an admission requirement.

bjayNL:

I have funded without AD, infact before applying for the Visa I wanted all documents set and ready...

I hope I'm safe?
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by yusuftosin: 1:28am On Jul 15, 2019
Payment for accommodation is different from BA funds since you're doing that before you leave.

The €720 is entirely yours and you spend it anyhow you want or save all.

We'll still provide proof of funding for the second year. The first year is only a requirement for getting visa to travel.

Hope this helps.
Yusuf

emmabowin:
Well done house,
1. Is accommodation payment not part of the block amount, because I am seeing people still paying separate money for that.

2. can someone give a breakdown how this 720 euros is spent monthly. Is it possible to save part of it

3. Why do they block for 1 year, why is the embassy not bothered about how people will survive the second year or is it that people make enough money from working to carry them through the second year.

Thanks

If you are coming to Berlin this winter. Please budget nothing less than 350-500 euros for accommodation, you won’t see it lesser than that plus the caution fee you are to pay. Cheap Accommodation can be scarce in Berlin due to many students coming in the winter. Beware of scammers. There are lots of accommodation scammers.

If you will be schooling in Berlin, it will be worth it.
*Free Transportation including train and buses for students in the whole of Berlin and state of Brandenburg. (Berlin-Brandenburg) as long as you are with your school card.

*Enormous Job opportunities.

*2-3 years residence permit at first application. You don’t need to book appointment with the aulander for your RP. As long as you are done with your city registration in which accommodation contract is a prerequisite to register with the city. You can apply for it ASAP. In some cities, people wait 2-3 months before they are scheduled for appointment for RP plus 4 weeks for the card. Berlin don’t use card. They put the permit on your passport just like the visa.

*Plenty clubs if you are the party type. African Kitchens Dey too

If you will be schooling is Potsdam, you can also apply for your residence permit in Berlin. Meaning you need to have accommodation in Berlin and do the city registration. Potsdam gives 1 year RP so some students rather stay in Berlin and just go to Potsdam for lecturers since transportation is free. Potsdam is juss about 35 minutes to Berlin depending on where you stay in Berlin though.

If you are heading to Munich, bring money Oo.
Accommodation can be slightly expensive in Hannover too. Don’t sign any accommodation contract until you get your visa.

Wishing everybody success!!

Mehn I rush go check for myself, alas is true o.
Summer guys, may God show una mercy.

Now more importantly, I think is wise to learn German especially if you are waiting for next winter.

God bless our hustle!

And it looks like they don't really care about the B-list even as I am yet to read of anyone who got a visa through it.

Always knew it will get tougher as interest continues to rise. God help us.

Fintiba requested for Admission letter.
To send a confirmation for blocking. Though they already sent the account details.
Since I was eventually go to fund I saw no need to wait.
Get that off my to do

Hello guys,

I am sending my SL hardcopy to the embassy. From previous readings, I realized I could send through courier specifying my name and visa application number on it. Could anyone kindly help me shed more light on this, of anything else I should do. I don't wanna make any mistake.

Thanks.
Cc:Deutschman, fabcol.
Yes. Your name, visa application number on your visa fee receipt. Put them together with your SL hardcopy in an envelope and send via courier to the embassy. You could also drop it personally if you stay in Lagos.

I have been wondering why some people still get rejection after German visa interview (Considering the fact that Germany intentionally waved tuition to encourage international students). And these are the questions running through my mind. Elders in the house pls assist with answers to help us learn from thoes who have experienced these things before.

What are the exact information the VOs usually send to the Alien office?
Every information you provide at the interview is forwarded for your application

Do they forward all your documents to the Alien office for further verification?
Yes they do.

If your work experience as highlighted in your Cv is not really directly related to your chosen Msc program is it a problem ? And do the VO forward your submitted Cv to the Alien office?
So far you've gotten your admission, your work experience on your CV doesn't affect your visa application. I could have been working as a microbiologist for 5yrs and choose to start a new career in electronics engineering. So far I can convince my VO, the CV doesn't have an effect on my application. The purpose of the CV is to highlight your academic and professional engagements so far till your visa application date.

And what are the possible rejection reasons people have received before.?
They can doubt your study reason if you don't concinve the VO very well why you want to study that course.
They can also reject based on poor interview performance.
Also, especially for those using SL, rejection can come if it is verified that your sponsor is not financially competent to stand as a sponsor for you.

Guys please is there anyone here who can shed some lights on how long it takes to process the visa after interview for someone going to Hamburg, just want to have an idea cos of deadline wahalla. Please help to answer if you can.

There's no time interval that's set in stone on this AM stuff. I know people who have been waiting since March, and some that did interview in June and have gotten AM.
I think you should mail your alien office if they've gotten your application. If they have, then hopes are higher.

It reached on Friday, they're sending in batches though; not everyone has received this new set of emails yet. The mail stated a payment of €987.5 on/before 22-07.

Don't worry it's coming, since you got the nomination email, just go and find your bureau de change and get your euros ready.

Vielen grüße
Alright. Thanks boss. I guess you're heading to TUHH. Is there a WhatsApp group for people going to Hamburg in general?

First of all don't worry too much about you cgpa your gradein German scale is 2.3 which is higher than the 2.5 minimum requirements from most German schools.

Secondly your work experience would come handy if you desire to apply for courses in telecoms (just make sure you package your Cv very well, use Google to see samples of how telecom Engineers package their Cv). And if you are using uniassist make sure you add your employment documents and recommendation letter from your work place if possible to beef up your applications).

For schools, Uni Bremen is a nice school and they use job experience as part of their admission assessment criteria for that CIT course you are interested in. Also check Uni Kassel, Cologn uni of applied sciences, Kempten uni of apolied sciences, TU Chemitz. Winter is already gone but you can just go to daad.de to start searching against summer.

Finally since your undergraduate study is not Elect/Elect, in your motivation letter try to highlight the electronics/communications courses you did and focus more on your job experience as your selling point.

Thank you so much for this, i will look towards summer application instead

Please i am new here, my question goes thus. I have been selected from a Bsc programme to kick off in October i Germany. I have read so much here today and i found out, it was advisable i booked an appointment fast as time is running out. My issues include the following.
I chose category B long term visa for more than 90 days. I have a second class lower degree. Did i choose correctly or i should have chosen category A. If so do i cancel the appointment?
Yes, you're in the right category.

Also i read that i needed a general health insurance upon appearing at the embassy, how do i go about this? I have no idea.
Health insurance is not needed for your interview. You'll get that when you get to Germany.

The travel insurance is also a document i need but must it be among the documents i take along to the embassy? If yes how do i also go about this?
You also do not need the travel insurance for your interview. When you get your visa approval mail, that's when you submit a travel insurance. You can get from AXA Mansard or Coracle when that time comes.

Lastly, i made a mistake with Fintiba as to the account opening, i chose fintiba plus instead of a fintiba basic. I already sent a mail to the effect, but is there any other thing i can do to rectify my mistake.
They'll rectify it. Wait for their response to your mail.

I hope i posted in the right section. Thank you in anticipation.

You can make your conversion there.

As regards scholarships, only your intended schools will let you know if you qualify for them.
Send mails to professors stating your research interests and wait for their feedback.
PhD processing is a little bit different from MSc and BSc.

Viel Glück

I don't think that's necessary. At this point, you might only get date if someone with AD cancels their appointment.

Nö. If your hard copy SL is yet to arrive before your interview, go with blocked account opening confirmation. But make sure you tell the VO that you'll be using SL. You'll be told to send it to the embassy immediately you get it, so your application can be processed.

congratulations. your transcript was moving. I got BTU Cottbus on my shortlist too. I'll monitor your success from here and pop in for questions as at when due. I'm partial to renewable energy systems, first degree was Elect. Engrg (power option). working experience in PV sector. my shortlist has Six schools with focus on Renewable Energy.
renewable energy at Cottbus has focus on tropical & sub tropical climes. something similar to yours.

I hope to expand that shortlist asap.

Thanks to all who keep the info flowing, God will crown all efforts with SUCCESS.

Godspeed
