Then in the application that was finally granted, you wrote “Single”

Now let me play the devil’s advocate here.

Maybe your ‘Singleness’ was not the reason your visiting visa was granted. Maybe there were other criteria which you didn’t meet in your previous refusals, but met those in the current application.

What if you simply apply for spousal, and pretend that the ‘single ‘ was an honest error?

How can I do it please. This will lead to another whara for me. To be honest with you I wanted to put single until the agent that helped me said I should put single, that if home office know that my wife is in UK they might feel I will not come bk so they might use BC of it and deny me and say the tie I have is in UK and I will not come bk, I also reason with her. Many thanks Dustydee. That is what we are contemplating doing. Honestly we regret this lie we told. We are either contemplating we do marry visa, a friend also mentioned to my wife instead of marriage visa, we can do fiancé visa which I am still making research.

UK Embassy does not accept church wedding, they only accept court marriage certificate for spouse visa as I learnt.

I will definitely not overstay. I am coming bk to Nigeria by God grace soonest.

One of the factors that contribute to a good score is keeping your current account opened for a long period. Once you go through with an account switch, the old account is closed and replaced by the latest one and thus having a new effect date. Dont worry, It will get better within couple of months.

You can open a new current account now, incase you want to switch in future or any other reason, that way you still have an old account in your records.

Hi guys I passed my driving lessons my second time on the 15th of July with two minors ( failed my first attempt on the 25th of june, cut the last corner to the test centre. Literally the last minute of the test).

I had 3 hrs Training in April then switched instructors and had 14hrs with my new instructor ( block booking savend me a few) before my first attempt and had just 2hrs a day before my second attempt plus 1hr on the test date. I also watched a lot of YouTube videos about driving mistakes, mock tests etc. About 100 hrs of YouTube. ( I know I am a YouTube addict)

Got my insurance today with admiralty ( not black box but similar, I get a device I plug into 12v power outlet for 6months and send it back to them) for roughly 1300.

Got my first car off a friend nissan note.


Things to note.

1 I got a 650-800 quotes when I was shopping for insurance with my provisional license, as I have had it for close to 2 years. But when I passed and was shopping for insurance I couldn't get anything below 1300..

2. Passing the test is just about being calm and relaxed, a few minors won't fail you. If you are on sure just wait and take your time to decide ( a lot of faults come from poor planning.

If i was in your shoes, going to Nigeria and doing it all over again, would be my ideal start point and a lesson for future dealings........

NB: Are you saying lawyers want to magic your visiting visa, into spousal visa? Remember, lawyers too got bills to pay..... That £1400 would balloon into £6000 with no outcome........

But both of us need to go to Nigeria which is expensive and beside my wife work as agency health care assistant. If no work no pay. So I was contemplating why not I go and apply for fiancé visa and join her in the UK , then apply for spouse visa after a short court marriage. Do you feel that fiancé is not really the best? If heading down the spousal route, the prerequisite documentations threshold, is much higher (self employed) ...... You need to decide what path you are willing to go..........

I just read on self employed route. I am confused . They are saying category F and category G. I am confused. I no understand ooo the category. My wife is agency using her private company registered with company house to do her job. Please we need assistance from u and others. The requirements are not easy o!. Both accommodation. My wife lives in a one room apartment in a house, which she pays £500. Per month. Will home office accept one room? When we settle down fully we will get better accommodation. Its might be better if the Nigeria application is explained as a mistake. People make mistake in application all the time instead of complicating with fiance visa or divorce and remarry

Someone i know personally , although he got visiting from naija and said he was married. . He came here on visiting to join his wife who had ilr, then they put in a case based on family life that since she is pregnant and had an older daughter , she needed him here to support. She also wasn't earning up to 18k hence why the family life was better than spouse visa. However this visa is discretionary so it's not black or white .

He was given the visa and put on 10 years path. After the first 2.5 years he switched to spouse visa for 5 years . So his path to ILR is 7.5 years and no longer 10 years . This story was in 2014 so don't know current rules but that was how that couple legalise their stay. The first visa for 10 years wasn't even too difficult, once there is a baby involved who is British the case is softer than no child or partner is on a non permanent visa
