No. There is no connection between type of application and the date of biometrics. This is because you choose the biometrics date while submitting your application. Priority is an added-value service which you purchase afterwards from their partner- tls -anytime before your biometrics appointment.

Awesome!

@profemebee,
According to the update from TLScontact website, UKVI will not be accepting supporting documents sent by applicants to the Sheffield office from the 31st of July 2019. Applicants will have to
1. scan and send their supporting documents by themselves,
or
2. scan it at the VAC during biometrics appointment for a fee,
or
3. send it to TLScontact scanning hub at London where it will be scanned for a standard or priority service fee.

Full info can be read from TLScontact website, please.

Ladies and gents, good day
Has anyone had the experience of the spouse getting a spouse visa and then staying in Nigeria for a year to do something like Law school?

For example; get spouse visa in October 2019, visit the UK to collect biometric, go back to Nigeria to start Law school in November

Can this affect extension later?

Regards

I think it will affect bcs you are not ment to spend more than 180days outside the uk in a year

It will definitely affect it. It will affect the further leave to remain (FLR) and might even make home office to cancel the visa. My advice why not the spouse visit the partner with visiting visa, go for law school, then after law school u apply for spouse visa.

Happy Sunday house. Please I want to confirm if me and my wife can use our family friend house as proof of accommodation for the spouse visa? We are contemplating using a council apartment if my wife can get soonest OR we use our family friend house. My wife is staying in one single room and the landlord said the room is only meant for one person. So we are looking for alternatives. Please dear house I need your advice on the one that is best. We spoke to our family friend and they said they are ready to accept us and give us all the requirements to meet the accommodation. Then when I join my wife we gather money and get our own apartment. Suggestions please. Thank you.

If your accommodation arrangements are not 100%, don't bother putting in an application......

If your family friend is ready to assist, your wife would have to have a tenancy agreement, bank statements reflecting rent payments, house inspection report etc etc

Accommodation forms a key part of the process, you fail that, that's your application funds down the latrine.......

They never offer refunds...........
