I have searched and searched for HO guidance on this, and my other research say 180 days only applies to points-based visas? There is apparently no formal limit for absences, for spouse visas.

While you on spousal visa, a restriction is imposed..... Abi why apply to live with your spouse, if you have no intentions to, by going AWOL.......

Please can anyone advise on how to make "priority service payment" for Family Settlement/ UK spouse visa?

My biometric appointment is tomorrow, and I am still unable to make priority service payment. I have sent an email to the address stated on the website but I haven't received a response. I went to the TLS office in VI and was guided to call the UKVI number (00442034811736... at the exorbitant rate of £1.37/min), however I was told that it is the TLS office in VI that should organise the priority service.

(1) Please has anyone been able to pay for the priority service recently? How was it done?
(2) Also, would I still be able to pay for the service after the biometric, and attach the receipt in my supporting documents? Or should I cancel my tomorrow appointment until I am able to resolve this issue?

Please any comments and advice are highly welcome.

I don't think the "Personal Details Form (VAF 4A) Family Settlement Application Form" is vital... I think it's just another version of the online application form... So not to worry if you did not submit it... I just decided to filled them and submit them all!... lol

(2) Employment letter - (Section (8d) in my Application Outline summary)
(3) A breakdown of salary entries (this was done to also address previous Visit Visa refusals - (Section (Appendix A(i)) in my Application Outline summary)

I did not submit payslips and/or staff ID card (but I don't think submitting them would do any harm).

Has anyone had the experience of the spouse getting a spouse visa and then staying in Nigeria for a year to do something like Law school?

For example; get spouse visa in October 2019, visit the UK to collect biometric, go back to Nigeria to start Law school in November

Can this affect extension later?

Is this based on experience?

From what I now understand, the spouse visa has no specific limits on absences. If there are absences, then it should be for goo reason.

Many thanks. Sorry just saw your message. I have been busy trying to put one or two things together. Me and my wife later decided to go through the spouse route. I convinced her to come bk to Nigeria, we will go and do another court marriage and get the certificate, then use our old pictures to back it up. I think this is ok? What do you think? Thanks
