Na Israel and Jerusalem full their head. Nigeria, like many other Africans, were European creations - businesses for them.

More dollars and pounds.

The problem is that zoogeria has deliberately refused to break out of the yoke of British imbalance because of greed. Many African countries changed to their native names after independence. Zimbabwe was formerly named Rhodesia during colonialism. Zaire now consists of Congo, DR Congo etc. Gold coast changed to Ghana; French upper volta change to Burkinafaso. Zoogerians are nothing but business transactions going bad.

It is the plan of some peoples to have us believe our history started in 1960.

I'm not buying this unity crap. There has been a plan for so called majority tribes by 'their' forefathers (not mine) to collectively milk the resources and choke the daylight out of minorities at Fed level. That is what is keeping this country nothing more, they are all guilty and this dominance started wayy before colonials arrival, the only difference now is the agreement between the three is suddenly looking like a one man show.

Fvck this shlt let everyone go their way. About every northern state towers above Rwanda- a land locked country sandwiched between giants DRC, Tanzania etc. Heck, Taraba is more than two and half times the size of Rwanda, yet, you wont believe what they've been able to accomplish for their over 12 mil popl some 25yrs after the genocide. Its won't pan out for everyone but I'll take the chance cos as far as this country is concerned we're going nowhere!

The peeps who keep preachin unity are those in power (dah!), multinationals, businesses focused on population, politicians, religious rulers (offering time....) or the just plain foolish etc. Just there to cream us nothing more. To the guy from two regions asking where to go in the case of a split? here's a suggestion... pick one.

how can anyone be surprised about this?,,,,,,google berlin conference of 1884, you will understand more

When people are using songs to educate themselves, isn't that a shame, many won't even read further. Its good the song started a conversation. Almost all countries that were colonized by Britain, France, Germany and Portugal was doe through these companies. You have the east India company, dutch east indies company, British east African company, French west African company, new Zealand company, Massachusetts bay company etc. These trading companies are given rights by their respective govts to trade exclusively like a patent in the territories they occupy and administer it and when issues arise they can count on the support of their home govts to enforce their rights. Eventually these rights to administer these territories were taken from private hands by the govt and it happened all over the world. It was totally not unique to Nigeria or africa.

Biafra can come but not all through the bogus claim of UN recognizing shit. UN will not do Jack, so many examples abound. Don't repeat the mistakes of 1967 to 70. There is no savior anywhere or higher powers to fight your war, you plan it, you fight it and deal with the success or failure.

You cannot blame descendants for crimes committed by their ancestors especially where the affected parties ' ancestors were implicitly complicit. For example, everyone blames whites for slave trade, but Africans were their source of slaves who raided hinterlands and war conquered territories with slave parties to supply coastal slave ports.
The Port Harcourt Briggs family wealth was from slave trading. Yes the descendants have benefited from the atrocities but those close to the then Briggs merchant supported him for pecuniary gain
The point I'm trying to make is that, we are stronger as a people of diverse origins and if anyone like KANU wants to change the system, he should come home sell his non divisive ideas to the people and if they buy into it, will vote for him. Not hide in a foreign country and incite rebellion. He accuses Nigeria of being a British business contraption yet hides in Israel that is a political fraud to inflict the same barbaric policies on Palestinians.
All this talk of splitting should stop. The most advanced countries are those that embrace diversity e.g. USA, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Spain, they had the most colonies back then. These nations have blacks, whites, Moslems, Christians, Asians, other religions, yet prosper. Not our holier than thou attitude that seeks to divide and rule for selfish reasons.

This is why I don't take namdi kanu serious, the isreals are very much scums also your a brilliant, if the Nigerian populace was politically oriented and know their right, set aside their tribal differences and work together for a place not only form themselves and for future generations to come things in this country won't be like this, I never support Biafra it brings nothing war and misery, namdi kanu should go and sit down and not try to foster the agendas of greedy mofos, Nigeria needs strong to take this country forward.

Dem nor teach dem GST...what a generation.... Abeg Prof burna still sing say southern Nigeria get independent from British before the north get their own independent
gaetano:
Royal Niger company is now trending on twitter and is seems Nigerians are not really aware that their country was bought in business deal. The tweet started trending after people listened to Burna boy's song ANOTHER STORY, in his recently released album.

The intro of the song gave a brief history on how Nigeria as a country was bought by the British via a company called Royal Niger Campany , and that company is today regarded as UNILEVER.

Reactions from twitter follows

Do you have a brain at all?
How has this information improved your life?
Did Kanu also tell you that the British fought against Sokoto caliphate and won?

Isn't it ironic that your god lives in the land of the oppressor and is also their citizen?

I have been interacting with the youths of today. They know nothing about themselves not to talk of the country. This information is not so special cause I have read about it long ago even as am just 30.
I can even relate the story of the Nigerian civil war from different perspectives as if am there even though I was not born during the period. There was a book by Alexander A. Madeibo or something who relate it from the Igbo perspective. There is another one from a Yoruba Journalist who uses a different perspective.
Let us be reading. Am sure there are books where this can be found. I recommend the book by Major Ademoyega, Why we Struck to the you to go and read.

are the north ready to live and let live? They cause all thesw talk of division.

In 1966 a few igbos along with soldiers from other tribes did a coup....the north replied by killing 30,000 igbos living in the north...that was hw biafra was born.

U have seen how they forced their region to become a shariah region even tho christians live in it too...

U have seen the rough politics they have played from awolowo's disgrace to abiola family disgrace to killing of corpers in 2011 to varios riots because of politics

U have seen how they formed boko haram and are arming fulani miltias now.

Should we continue with the north to maintain the diversity that has kept the nation down?

Stop rewriting history, we are all not comfortable with the security problem and all the myriad of the problem affecting the north today but the truth still remains that the Biafra war was caused mainly by Igbo political elites that want to dominate the Nigeria state.

The military coupe of 1966, was an Igbo coupe that effect leaders from other ethnic groups, the aftermath of the coupe show the real intention of the Igbos, from the unitary government of ironsi to the marginalisation of other ethnic groups.

The north never disgrace awolowo, Nigerians play politics of sentiment, people vote base on either religion ( north) or tribe (south), Igbos are also as guilty as northerners in denying awolowo the presidency.

Bokoharam and Fulani herdsmen are as a result of the failure of government, deep extreme religious intolerance in the north, poverty and illiteracy. It wasn't directly created by the north to keep Nigeria backward.

The igbos, yorubas and the Hausas are all guilty in making Nigeria what it is today, stop blaming the northerners alone

This is very far from the truth, Nigeria is a country of its own, trading with countries she chooses to trade with. Our largest trading partner is the Chinese, Indians and Americans.

Our system of government is modelled over that of America. The British Empire is long gone, they have close to zero influence on how Nigeria is been governed.

The northerners are not the board of directors, don't let your hatred of others killed you. The economy of Nigeria is run by southerners, the organised public sector is dominated by southerners, there are 36 states across the federation and each of these states reflect the ethnic demography of Nigeria, each of these states have governors democratically elected by the people of these states.

There are southern and northern politicians. Since the return to democracy in 1999, we have had 2 southern presidents and 2 northern presidents, tell me how the northerners are the board of directors
