Two days. Lintels don't usually require long time of curing before being loaded with blocks. Reasons are because the lintels are supported by blocks underneath, secondly, the weight of the blocks on top of lintels are not significant enough to cause problems for the lintel cast.

We're choosing to do this type of parapet for this whole house. It was a creation of mine in 2014/15 and I am going to copy it here on this project.

We're starting work on the scaffolding works of this house, in readiness for the parapet of this house and the roofing thereafter.

More materials arriving as more men move into site........

We're already in the market to carve out the curves needed to turn the wood of this parapet style to our desired shape.

I usually start by marking out the shape of the curves and lines I want to make on a sample wood, then have them mill it for me so I can see if it fits my parapet shape.

Nice, but not good enough. I want the small projection on the top to be sliced off. I can always buy a taller wood to use as the standing tip.

The most important thing is finding the right quality of wood to use for the curves and supports..........
