Thanks namesake (007) grin. I got the alert and £5 was also credited wink

Hope you are enjoying your curve card smiley

I’m sure I will enjoy it, especially the free cash withdrawal from a credit card. Got an ISA account I thought to invest the money into, then I’ll pay off with my interest-free balance transfer card. Win-win.

For those looking to rent in the UK. This are the only fees the estate agents are legally allowed to charge........ Anything outside this, is illegal.........

Quick question people
I just applied to renew my tier 2 visa and currently waiting for it. My spouse lives abroad and was doing inyanga to apply with me when I did mine. Now, guy has changed his mind and wants me to do his application, my question is, is it possible to apply for a dependent while my visa is not yet out or I have to wait for my visa before we can do his?
Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by nomad26: 7:05am On Aug 06, 2019
I think you will have to wait for yours to be completed since you don't have your new brp yet. I had to submit a copy of my brp for my partner's application.

Greetings house

please can someone explain to me how to build credit score using a credit card?

If I have a credit card of £1000 limit how do I use it to build my score? That is how much maximum is safe to spend

Thanks in advance

Use your card to make purchases but make sure you pay off the whole balance at the end of every month to avoid paying any interest. Only use what you can afford to pay off every month.

Hello guys, I need your opinion.

I'm about renting my first house since moving to the UK, I've been staying in an accommodation provided by my employer.

Got a two bedroom apartment for #660 but with EPC rating E and electric heating which I'm really concerned about.
I spoke to a friend who pays #40 a month on energy bills for a house with electric heating in the same area, negotiated a fixed rate with his energy provider.
Someone also told me issues they had with mould leaving in a house with epc rating of e and that they paid up to #200 for energy cos of electric heating.

I already spoke with the letting agent who told me they don't have any record stating that the house had any issues with mould and condensation.

Can you guys kindly advise me as I dont know much about the epc rating and its implications and also how to get cheap energy bills on eletric heating.

Thanks.

And you believed then just like that?

Since you’ve rented it already (I assume you’re bound by a minimum amount of time to live there) just make sure you remind them of what they said when you see the mould, ok?

It’s hot for now, so it won’t be so bad, so use now and save for the gas/electric bills during the winter months.

Your documents have already been sent for processing so I wouldn't worry too much as that page is just a status update page for tls contact and doesn't affect your Visa process...

What you should do is to call in to find out the status of the Visa and ask for an escalation...the call costs about £1.73 minus your normal network charges for international calls , then an escalation fee of about 5,000 naira.

It's the summer season so there are alot of delays this season...

Hi Ebuka86, Yes I had the same issue. What I'd advise is don't bother to waste your money calling them. Anyways, what we did was upload all again just to be safe, our pick up mail came a day after.

Pick up mail mail for collection of passport? I just checked my mums applications as well and the same thing is happening. We submitted 4 days apart. But if you picked your passport a day after you re-uploaded then I’ll like to think the system automatically does that to all applications.... thank you for your response, I can rest easy now

don't spend more than 20-25% of that £1000. And if you want to, collect another card(S). i have 4, and total of about £20,000 credit limit

Do some research into switching your gas and electric supply to Ebico. No standing charge, you only pay for what you use. It's ideal for those who are single and for those with small families. If you are working long hours/week, you will hardly be at home to use energy anyway. Standing charges constitute two thirds of the bill you pay. When I switched two years ago, my average bill for both electric and gas went down to less than £30/month. I currently live in a 4 bedroom house, average bill for both is less than £40/month.

His parents are tenants and cannot authorise such..... Read through the terms and conditions of tenancy agreement, then seek authorisation from landlord + property inspection report required (possibly)........

My only concern is you not directly having your own accommodation (with tenancy agreement in your details)........

Wow that's quite a lot considering the fact that he waited for over a year before appeal date came through.
UK and unnecessary stress...
Hope there's nothing to be bothered about again since appeal has been won?
and what handwork do you suggest bro
Asides Barbing cos he said he doesn't really like that one and that was what I suggested.
