And how exactly is that going for us? You're making my point for me. The club is either pursuing English players for unimaginable amounts or established talents with no sure guarantee of success. There are cool not too know players all over the globe that will die to come to England

Young talents who still have good years ahead of them. James and AWB are 21, Maguire is 26, that's nothing less than 5 years left for Maguire and 8 - 9 years for the others.

It's just a change in strategy, can't keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Only player i'm pained we missed out on is Bruno. Dybala just didn't want to come, and Eriksen is getting so old that Levy wants to cash out on him quickly before the steep decline.

Its the difficulty and cost of signing these English players that's the problem. Their equivalent will go for less that amount

We already have Smalling, Jones, Young, Shaw, Lingard and Rashford. Almost half of the players in that list up there are not here anymore. So the core has still been these same English guys. They have been the constant thing since that 2012/13 and look at where they have dragged us to.

A lot of slagging Man U this summer and while it might not work out I like their idea. Stopped paying over odds for superstars, bought British talent instead - admittedly still pricey but there’s always been a premium for British players in PL.

Meanwhile City spend equivalent of over 130 million, with next to no outgoings.... in a “quiet” window!

Decent. Neat and tidy.

He’s not a Mason Greenwood but the potential is there. Scored a fantastic goal during preseason but he’s not ready for the first XI. A few cameos during Europa group games maybe. Some minutes as a sub during a dead rubber game would help too.
