The End. To come bring this episode to a close. I'll like us to know that what i just gave here are Hints and Tips on how to make a better decision when embarking on the journey as a Brandable Name Investor. I always say that selling Brandable-names are hard as compared to Geo-names which you flip every day. So if you must embark on this journey be sure you have a deep pocket (You have money you're not using, money you might likely spare or not needing for a long time). Brandable names doesn't convert into sales immediately, although there are some exceptions : Using myself as an (I sold Swiftrestore/com for $795 exactly 2 weeks i registered it from the drop and Cannatera/com like a month after registration. Both sales venue at afternic. Both names are all developed and running websites. Now the bitter truth is that most times you have to be ready for longer wait than usual as a brandable domainer, although there are times you can get really lucky as i earlier mentioned. Hence, as a brandable name investor you need to wear a thick skin of patience should things not go as expected. But good thing is with the right knowledge you'll play into the right cards. Secondly this Guide i gave is no guarantee for sales. It is just a pointer to step upon when making decisions. Hence it'll therefore be paramount to go on a deep research on your own to develop a model that will best work for you. Once upon a time i used to be a spectator in this thread, always dreaming and wishing i can have the same success as other who reports sales here (i was mostly inspired by the sales report of people like Haykay2005 and Farouksenior, both are brandable veterans who's sales reporting here gave me the needed spark. I will always tell myself if fellow Nigerians like me can make sales at BrandBucket then me too can.). But it never ended there, i was becoming a spectator for too, i decided to come out of my shell and started doing the needful.... Which is Research And after months of hard work and research i was able to get my first sales at Brandpa and SquadHelp all thanks to nairaland and namepros. By the way I've been around for close to 6 years now but on a very low key at the beginning. To become successful in this industry you need to develop you own Method, because what best works for Mr A might not work for Mr B. So don't sit around waiting to be spoon fed. Stand up on your feet and start making your researches.... The truth is that you hardwork will definitely pay off some day. (I'm certain about that) Lastly I'll advice to us, when a registrar is running a promo try to utilise such opportunity. Many benefited from the last networksolutions promo. Should more of such promotions comes up in future don't be left out, reg names as your strength can carry you cause you don't know when such will come again. @beckplanet I started trying out something based on the lecture you gave in brandable names. It is not as if I want to reg any. I picked a keyword from the one you gave. I was able to generate three brandable names. I came up with one five letters name (keyword + suffix) and the remaining two names are six letters name (keyword + suffix) Going to check on availability, they turned out to be available with a tag of premium attached to them. But the price to buy are killing. The first name was available at $5000 + $17/year renew, the second was available at $1300 + 17/year renew and the third at $2300. Searched to see if there is whois records on those name and I found nothing. Meaning names are available. But price is killing. So can one do at this point. I am thinking submitting them as unregistered name on SH or BB. What would you advice? Thanks |
