nice analysis my brother, were the police not armed to this kind of sensitive assignment,a street guy like the guy in question can not fall for that trick of buying car from total strangers, there is more to this, the story even know where he slept, they should start arresting people already ,including the repoter

The report was cooked up by our security agents. They have something to conceal or the army has forced the police to subjection. Those dead guys are collateral damage. Who even told all these stories or gave this info when the officers engaged are dead or in coma?

Kidnapping started from edo... Abi edo people are now Igbos?
how can you say kidnapping started from Edo state ... Get your fact right .... At the height of militancy in the Niger Delta , kidnapping were pronounced in the creeks... And the states with creeks are Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa ,Akwa Ibom

This is serious....but my question is how come the Bala man didn't get injured or shot as the soldiers were shooting at the van? Anyways, that could be an application of native insurance. On a serious note, the policemen exhibit a height of unprofessionalism, why did they continue to run when it was clear that military men were after them? Secondly, why did they go for the arrest all in mufti? Well the did has been done, the next is for the CDS to go deep into investigation cos this is enough to cause security uproar.
for your information ,,,the IRT team did not run....they were attacked suddenly from behind .... Imagine you driving and a car behind you suddenly open fire on you, will you be able to control the vehicle? Secondly , you don't expect police going on covert operations to wear uniform.... A criminal or an informant of criminals can easily identify them and thwart their operations

They only needed excort of 2 hilux trucks but they didn't bring.... If they used security detail they used for naira marley, it wouldn't have ended like dat
the case of naira marley and this kidnapper is different .... If you are to catch such a high profile criminal ,,, you don't display your presence anyhow

Our security system is warped...you are on a high profile operation..in the north east..an area known for a lot of security issues..Biko haram et al and you can't even afford to share intel info with security agencies on ground ...
Looks like Glory hunting went wrong imho ...lol

Sad that we had to lose such fine officers because of poor strategies and absolutely silly tactics to arrest one local man...and you had to even serve him a proper warrant of arrest and even involve your own local police in the area for God's sake but No, they must pull a stunt ...hen, yen, yen .....annoying!!!

Listen my friend, if they had put some measures on ground like involving the police within the jurisdiction, they would have been protected. You can just arrest a kidnapper and move on with him when he must have his gangs. We are talking about a kidnapper here, someone that must be strategizing before embarking on any venture. So I am not trying to hold a brief for the soldiers, but Nigerian police should put some professional measures before embarking on operation as this cannot happen in western countries.

Something is not clear from this "detail report" as some have tagged it: If, as a result of the accident allegedly involved by the bus following the shooting carried by the soldiers, why didn't the arrested kidnapping kingpin die alongside other occupants of the vehicle? Or could his escape be attributed to miracle? I'm of the opinion that something is certainly wrong somewhere. Perhaps the joint panel constituted to investigate circumstances surrounding the death of the three police officers, and the disappearance of "Bala" and also the other guy used as a bait, would help in solving the posers raised above. May the Lord give the families left behind by "murdered" officers fortitude to bear the losses.

The soldiers didn't shoot to kill. They only shot fire to stop the bus, they shot the tires and certain part of the body of the bus. No one died with a gun bullet while the bus was on the run. They had injuries after the bus accident and the army finished them up with a close-range shot. All the shots were close range and no long-distance shot found.

If the above is true, are we not dealing with serious crimes against humanity, extra-judicial killing of defence-less people

But while passing the coffee joint, (where Bala was picked) the suspected kidnapper forced his head out of the vehicle and shouted: “I have been kidnapped by these people.”

Lesson to police officers a high level suspect such as this they should have covered his mouth with tape and covered his head with hood and after the arrest they should have called for Heavily Armed reenforcement( before leaving ibbi town) escort in their front and back to follow them to Jalingo.

Leaking info to Army would have made the colonel who is the kidap kingpin friend know. Best bet would have been to call for heavy reinforcement after arresting the kidnap kingpin to escort them out of Ibbi town.

Its possible the soldiers did not know that the kidnap kingpin was a kidnapper they acted based on instruction of a superior officer I.e the Colonel. And it's possible also that the Colonel did not know his friend is into kidnapping.

Lol.. Stopped for the loyalist of the prominent kidnapper. They would have lynched those policemen even before they said a word...
They should have used tape to cover the kidnapper mouth and possibly hood to cover his head.

Bro, make your findings and try to check the first Police report. They fired a close-range shot on the policemen. And it is what it is. It's a serious crime against humanity.

Not necessarily. And as a matter of fact i dont indulge in crime because i know i cant do the time.
Just stating the obvious why its not good to do crime as it is difficult to commit a crime alone so its safer to hustle and pray for God to bless your hardwork

Yeah, I got you... Was just smiling, when I read your response, as it kinda mirrors "yours truly"

The plan was well scripted, but the execution was very very poor. How could the police have undergone for such a dangerous operation in isolation? That was their greatest undoing and avoidable mistake.
It is well with my country Nigeria.
