currentprice:

stock are below their fairprice as pple said already. i know u are just looking for the one selling with best discount

anyway from my bedsheet FBNH fairprice is N9 , FLOURMIL is N10 base on Q2 and Q1 respectively

mind u things may change for the best or worse from d remain quarterly report of the year.

i notice flourmil cash is improving.... it a plus and if they can maintain or add more positive effort to this Q1 report thru out d year then we are looking at N40 fairprice by next year F/S

for FBNH though they have same PE with zenith but the ROE and solvency ratio too low compare with zenith but if everything comes out well without much impairment report at year end we are looking at N18 fairprice

na my own opinion price may not even near those prices,, Mkt opinion differ.

grin grin grin grin grin
If FBNH fair price is #18, Access bank fair price should be #30 grin

Rather, there is correlation between UBA, Afriprudent, UCAP and Transcorp. When two are falling two will be moving up.

Based on their recent result two are sound while two dropped in sound. cool

ETI is on fire. Made the call here. There was no reason for the stock to be selling at 6 naira. Yes there are issues with the Nigerian subsidiary due to oil subsidy issues, however the French West Africa division is making good money Ivory Coast and co and this is in CFA which is pegged to the Euro, so reasonable stable income. Are Ayeyemi is a Citibank alumni as former head of Africa, comes with good competence and integrity hence all these accounting scandal issues/rumor will pass. Holding on for my 100% then I am done for the year, will then jejely just wait for dividend in the three musketeers GTB, ZB and UBA...My two cents!

At least they have close their gap. They were among the cheapest stocks based on their PE yesterday and previously. As of today if ETI closes at #7.50, that mean other stocks will take over as cheapest stocks

No problem. That can happen, however I will be in it till I get my target price to give me 100%. The fundamentals are strong. The out of Nigeria subsidiary are making more than enough in a stable currency to cover for the Nigerian slump. And they have provisioned very well with IFRS 9, that there will be upsides in recoveries for the next 2 yrs at least...

Perfect strategy, never disclose your stock.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Deadlytruth(m): 1:42pm On Aug 22, 2019
RabbiDoracle:

Meshpip's much-touted volume adjusted price is just like the VWAP you know.

Look at it this way:

People buy stock A at different prices (high, low, close) and volumes

Let's say (P= Price and V=volume)

So over the course of a period (say 1 hour, 2 hours etc till a day), you see

P1...... V1
P2...... V2
P3....... V3
....
....
....
Till Pn..... Vn

So the VWAP = [Sum (P1V1 + P2V2 + P3V3 +.......+PnVn)]/Sum(V1 + V2 + V3 + Vn)

This computation will give you the Volume weighted Average Price which can be higher or lower than the closing price.

For his "almighty formula" , it involves you repeating this for the particular time frame you are monitoring. Instead oif doing per day, you sum today with the previous day and continue adding till you get the final cumulative value.

Divide this value with the cumulative volume for the period.

Remember each line of the day must have been a cumulative for the previous other ones. That way you be getting a price which he termed "volume adjusted" grin

Then for the entire period modelled, he will then use Bell curve to distribute it normally by finding the Mean price and the standard deviation.

There is nothing there! Just an academic exercise which has its limitations.

In a sharp and lasting bullish market, it just doesn't work. Example is Google. Will the price every revert to its mean?

Other limitation is the access to price data.

A company like FBN can easily revert to its mean because there are events that js making it lose value.

And I believe that was why he said UACN was a BUY grin because UACN had been having price RISE in the past and which automatically will make the Mean to be high. So as price dropped probably many standard deviation below the Mean, he thought it was a buy grin

FA know why.

So you can't use that in isolation in determining asset prices.

BBM, don't let me bore you with academic exercise.

I just wanted to prove to him that I no dey run for number crunching.

Na waya o! Even Boyle's Law for chemistry don enter NSE? Shuuuu! Well, except for the + signs in between the products.
