Are you serious? When did they put this up on their website? I have been waiting for 16weeks now, no evaluation report and they want to increase the time. This is so unfair.

The update has been there since late June I think. Just chill a little you should get it soon. Rather you can send them a mail to find out the status of yours especially if you know the exact date they received all your documents.

I personally don't think it's necessary if you put up a strong application. Almost 7 months AOR to PPR and didn't order a single note. My reason was that I didn't want any third party to have access to my files and personal information. Please throughly read the terms and conditions of these websites before accepting, that is, if you intend to use a third party website.

The final decision is yours. If you suspect something is off with your application, beyond the usual waiting paranoia, then you might benefit from the timely insight the notes provide.

The GCMS notes are not issued by CIC? It's another company that issues them? Didn't know that. Thanks for this information

Thanks and all the best.

That's the alpha or alphanumeric characters you get when you do a reservation. Book as though you want to reserve the ticket and not online payment or choose hold your fare option, if available. Then copy out the code and proceed to their office

Slow down. An organization/company only acts as a third party to help you receive the notes from CIC.
Only "Canadian citizens, permanent residents and any individual present in Canada can make a request under the Access to Information Act. If you are none of the above, you can ask a representative, who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, to make a request for you, if you give that person written consent."

See for yourself http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=463&top=1

PS: Through the consent form and notes, the third party has access to your personal information and that's what villagegirl is jittery about. Thus, ordering GCMS notes is an individual's choice.

I have worked in a Portable water production company before as a quality control manager, so I am quite familiar with the operations. Please don't call it Pure water factory for Canada people oh, if the company only produces sachet water, it should be sachet drinking water company, if it produces both sachet and bottled water, then it should be portable drinking water company. Also the job title they choose doesn't matter, your cousin has to check the various job description to see what matches. If your cousin is directly involved in overseeing the manufacturing of the plastic bottles, bagging of the sachet water and production of the bottled water, then I recommend NOC 0911(Factory production manager) if its a small water company, I don't think you need to claim CEO. If it's a bigger water company, and they are not involved in the day to day running of the business, they just hire managers, supervisors, production officers, and call the shots from home then they can claim NOC 0016 ( Chief executive officer). Now if the are involved in mainly the day to day administrative aspects of the business, basically, hiring and firing and paying of salaries then I recommend NOC 0114 (Managing Director).

In summary, your cousin should check the NOC's in line with his/her job description, it will be easier to make a decision. However, this is my personal opinion on this maybe others will have another opinion.

Cheers

Thank you so much. I appreciate.

Guys, I got the Golden mail on Saturday morning

The Lord has been merciful unto me
ITA: Feb 20
AOR: March 7
Bil: April 25
PPR: 24 August
NOC 0601
VO- Ottawa
Single
No ADR
Zero travel History

My journey started early November 2018. First IELTS was 5th of January 2019 (L8.5 R7 S7.5 W 6) Second IELTS on 17th of January 2019 (L 9, R 9, S 7.5, W7) I couldn’t dive into the pool as my ECA with WES didn’t come out until 19th February 2019. So, I enter pool on 19th and got ITA on 20th February 2019.

Medicals & PCC
I did my Medicals at IOM Ikeja. It was a hectic one because of the crowd. I got there 7 am and I was number 76. I guess the crowd was due to students doing their medicals too that period. I didn’t leave IOM until 4PM. PCC was very easy, I used Inspt Funke. I paid 4k.

POF
My POF was in my salary account( I was scared of using Mutual fund or TB). 3.3 Million was a gift deed from my elder sister with a notarized gift deed. Funny that I was worried that she now has a different surname as she is married.

Reference Letter
I got a reference letter from my HR in CIC format. I didn’t submit payslip or any other document.

POST AOR.
2 weeks after submitting my application, I read that I am suppose to include a copy of my MSC certificate. I only submitted WES and IELTS, I quickly raised CSE to submit my MSC. As if that wasn’t enough, I discovered a silly error I made while opening my Express entry account. I MISSPELT ONE OF MY NAME ( unbelievable right?). I wanted to withdraw my application and start afresh. Anyway I raised another CSE for correction of name. I was shock they obliged and corrected the name on my dash board.

Biometrics
Biometrics was on 25th of April at VFS Lekki

The Wait.
The wait was something else. I have never been that anxious all my life. I order GCMS note and received it on the 17th of July only Criminality and Medicals passed, Eligibility and Security not yet started. I call IRCC 5-6 times, the Last call was 14 August and status was eligibility and security still not started. I gave up after the last call that PPR is not coming anytime soon, only to receive the golden mail mid night 24-08-19.

Hi guys,

This is for anyone who wants to boost their score by writing the BCS Certification in IT.

I know some people are looking for more information about this but they haven't found any so I've taken it upon myself to post this here.

I spoke with their head of customer service and below is the official message from them:

Thank you for contacting Compunet Limited the approved centre for British Computer Society (BCS) in Nigeria with proven records of outstanding performance from our students.

BCS has three levels:

a. Certificate in IT
b. Diploma in IT
c. Postgraduate Diploma in IT.

Please note that the CIT level is enough to earn you additional 37 points in your CRS for the Canadian immigrants.

The exams are taken every March and September and the pass mark is 40%.
The CIT has three modules/courses which are introductory courses to Computer Science or Information Technology. With or without Computer background with all the necessary support from Compunet Limited you can acing’s the three modules. We have trained secondary schools and they passed.

For Canadian immigrants, is recognized, accepted and evaluated by WES as a One-year certificate program. Hence it can be added to whatever degree you had to claim Two or more certificate with additional 37 points.

The three courses/modules for the CIT level are:
a. Information Systems
b. Software development
c. Computer and Network Technology.

The total cost of training for the three modules/courses is #150,000.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE A VERY ROBUST ONLINE PLATFORM FOR DISTANCE LEARNING STUDENTS.

#50,000 for each of the courses. With this you will get all the recommended textbooks, past questions and answers.
Condensed training materials (video, audio etc.) for all the courses. You will be added to our WhatsApp group for each of the courses where materials are frequently dropped, questions answered and 9 hours weekly classes takes place.

Membership annual fee costs 37 pounds, then each module cost 40 pounds each.
That’s a total of 157 pounds naira equivalent of about 75k depending on the exchange rate at as when you are paying.

This is the best time to register for the training because the next exam is for September

Registration for the exam ends 25th July.
Exam is either 16th - 17th September or 17th - 18th September at British Council in Lagos, Abuja and Kano.

If you're like me with no background in IT, be sure to check their website for past questions to practice with and study hard.

Hope this helps!

This is really helpful. Can I be a part of the watapp group... I know registration have closed but I can really learn a lot from the group before next application.. Thanks

Finally made it here after reading through over 50 pages to catch up grin. I specially want to thank everyone who have been selfless and been of help to others in one way or the other on the thread. @Ladymarshall, the English Marshall herself, your selflessness is just out of this world ehn, see as you carry @gretop matter for head like say na your own. The thing shock me, we will surely celebrate with you soonest grin. @topsmamen, our elder who has consistently busted that myth that all elders abandon us for the sister thread as soon as PPR drops. God bless you Baba, we know like someone rightly noted that you are planning the same landing time with English marshall wink. @ednut1, @,iamatguy, @stencil and every other individual who have been keeping the thread going, God bless you all immensely. @yemblaze went AWOL at one point but came back with a bang coming in with new shekere dancers. Don't hibernate on us o grin.
My post AOR process has been a story of so far so good. If any of us have ended up in an Indian group post AOR, you will know that we don't know worry compared to our Indian brothers, one who is perfectly healthy can turn hypertensive with the way these our partners in emigration worry and get scared at the slightest. Imagine raising gcms notes a day after BIL and mailing Ralph some days after giving biometrics.
For the recent mutual funds brouhaha, let's all just stay calm and know that if at any point we get ADR because of mutual funds, just liquidate the fund ASAP and send the updated account statement to prove to the VO that indeed the fund is over accessible, but in my opinion I believe @gretop's case is an outlier and we will celebrate with him soon. Let's not fret abeg.
Congratulations to all ITA and PPR clinchers and we shall celebrate even more as this season winds down. For those of us currently waiting I pray we will get that which we so desire soonest.
I hope I don't lag behind again o grin.

How would WES evaluate this?
