UCI means Unique Client Identifier. It is a number given to applicants who have once applied for a Canadian visa.
thanks.....Please how long does it take to be called for biometrics after you submit your application?

Good day,
Does having an Express entry profile affect your chances of getting a student visa? Does one need to quote the UCI in ones Express entry profile? Or get a new one? Note that the Express entry profile score is below 350, therefore may not get any invite.
I will appreciate your response. Thank you

From my recent findings, I have come to learn that applicants who have an active EE profile and now applying for a study Visa are usually denied of their Visas on the basis of their ties back home, because the visa officer is not convinced about their intent to study in Canada and depart. Although, it was stated that on IRCC official website that having dual intent is legitimate but the visa officer's at the embassy choose to go contrary to the law and reject study permit Applications with EE profile. Also, when applying to any Visa be it temporary or permanent residency to Canada, your UCI - is your unique number and must be entered in all of your applications. You can't be issued a new one.

My best suggestion is that you delete the active EE profile and face the study permit application proper since you've a very low CRS score and doesn't qualify you to migrate through the EE pool unless with the aid of a PNP which in most cases is very difficult to get.

Q1) Express entry and F1 application are individual application and one doesn't affect the other.
Q2) Yes, you should.

Moreover, your score appears to be too low, considering the last CRS score which was 457, I think you should focus on your F1 Visa, notwithstanding, if you have a way of improving your score, you can go ahead with either your of plans.

Hello All the Gurus in the house, I saw this somewhere and pls I want your response to it:

Don't Apply For Study Visa To Canada If Its Not Your Intention. Here's Why

Two years ago, two different people wanted to study in
Canada for their masters program

But between you and i...

They wanted to use that process to integrate
with the country and get permanent residence
once they are done.

Now here is what happened.

One got it...

The other one got denied.

Now the issue was not because the other
one was not qualified.

In short... The guy that got denied was much more
financially capable than the other guy running into
several tens of million in the bank account.

Now why is that

This is what happened.

The reason why the first guy that got his visa
granted two years ago was his age...

He's in his early 20s...

22 years of age with a First Class Degree

The second guy is a 34 Years old with a Second Upper
degree that has graduated over 10 years ago here in Nigeria

You see.

Its one thing for you to get admission to study in
any Canadian university.

Its another thing for you to get the visa from
the canadian government at the embassy

It may surprise you to know that The School and Embassy don't have anything tied together! In other words they both don't have any control over each other and they do their work separately.

Look, Canada knows that people are looking for alternative
ways to come live and work in their country and they
are saying this to everyone.

We want you to come to canada and live happy,
But you just have to go through the right
channel of how its done.

And one of the channel that the Canadians don't accept is if you
are saying you are coming to Canada to do your masters after
you have left school a long time ago and now above 30...

They will deny you.

Take it from me.

Chances of you getting this is simply 1 in 100.

The only people getting visa to study their master are those that
recently came out of school with clear distinctions and
want to simply further their education.

Now i know that those people applying for study permit are
doing so because they want to use that to also get residence

Here is my advice.

Go through other process of relocating to Canada legally.

They are not stopping anytime soon

Go through the process of either going through the
Federal Skill Program or the Provincial Nomination program. Work Permits and Visit Visas. Direct Employment Packages are also there.

It will work out.

All you have to do is to plan it.

Even if you have been told that you cant go
with your current criteria...

Look through other means even if it will cost you more money... If you are serious
Plan for it.

This is true to an extent, but its also a baseless fact.

Sorry about the outcome of your application boss!. Financial insufficiency is the easiest refusal grounds for a study to Canada. So don't have to panic okay.

Permit me to ask you, How much was in your brother's statement of account?, and how many dependants did he declare in his Sponsorship letter?. You said you've been self-employed since you last left school. Why didn't you include your personal bank statement to further buttress the fact that you're established to a degree that your proposed study would be a reasonable expense.

Provide the above answers to my questions, then I'll proceed to advice you properly on how to put up a good Application.

It shall end in praises.
Thanks for your concern sir,
10.3m
he declared none
my account had a low balance when I applied, so we decided to use just his account since it covered my tuition and living expenses plus his pay slip and employment letter.

Good day nairaland fam, please I need help from gurus here, just got a refusal and the 3 reasons where:
1. Insufficient funds to pay tuition for my the duration of my proposed program.
2. Insufficient funds to pay transportation cost to and from Canada for myself and any accompanying family member.
3. Insufficient funds to maintain myself without working in Canada.
I never knew this refusal can be so disheartening, gosh! embarassed lipsrsealed
Submitted online 17th July for MEng civil engineering, had a BEng in civil engineering with 2 years experience(self employed with CAC registration).
Tuition fee for entire program is 30k CAD (I already Paid 4k CAD tuition deposit)
Sponsor is elder brother with account balance covering entire tuition plus living expenses for a year. I did not include my personal account statement as at time of application due to a very low balance and inflow. Could it be just my account that is the problem?
PLEASE WHAT MAY BE WRONG WITH MY APPLICATION?
SOMEBODY HELP! I NEED UR URGENT AND EXPERIENCED SUGGESTIONS. Thanks

Hello Bennyg24,

Don't break, stay strong. Going by the refusal reasons, its clear the VO had little convincing you have finnace or the sponsorship funds would be made available to you during your studies. In your next application, including your personal SOA and let your brother transfer the required funds (LE + either the balance of the first semester or year tuition fees) as a show of commitment. Then if possible, try to show substantial plans of how you going to meet your LE and tuition fees for the subsequent year

Irrespective of contemplating if the gcms notes would be generic or not, request for it before filing in another app.

Good luck!

Hello House,

My sponsor has some funds in ARM money market which he has access to anytime. Which is better to liquidate it or to leave it and get a reference letter from them.

That's what he intends doing. Please advice

Hello Kennylad90,

If there's other proof of funds that's liquidated even if the funds in it not huge, the ARM reference letter and certificate would be solidly supportive. Otherwise, based on the suitable way I would advise myself, liquidate the funds.

In the erstwhile, showing only the certificate or a reference letter without a BS might have work for some (I have seen just a case here), its better and safe to follow traditional means except if you're spouse is the adventurous type, then he can go ahead but make sure he shows a solid home ties and his level of finanacial establishment and reasonableness should be strong.

An advantage of applying with a BS is that on most certain occasions, the closing balance aside, the inflows and outflows plays an unforeseen role towards strengthening the applicant's source of funds and economic earnings unlike investment certificate or reference letter which doesn't possess this trait, but shines mostly as a supporting financial document.

Good luck!

If had seen this before i applied, or i saw this after i was refused, having applied at age of 31 as NYSC corps member, I would probably have been totally discouraged to apply/reapply for a
student VISA given that i was given "FULL & EXCESS" Scholarships.

Thank God for "Grace" and wonderful people in this platform that joined their morale with mine to reapply asap.

It is on the strength of the above that i want to encourage anybody of any age, status or background that there is no height too high for them to attain, only if they believe the "I CAN" in them! Forget protocol, God has the hearts of the Vo(s).

BELIEVE IN THE GOD YOU KNOW, AND PUT UP AN APPLICATION TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITY (Do your best and dont leave any stone unturned).

If i was Given Study Visa with just 1.1M in my personal account as a married Corps member through the Grace of God, you also can get it!

I pray miracle that boycotts protocol will locate all TRV and PR hopefuls and you will come here to testify in Jesus name.
