bayosegun:Is your work experience related to the degree you're pursuing? Your SOP is actually vague and not convincing enough, from petroleum to theology. Google motivational letter under theology, courses under theology, your experience in either of the courses, reason for change of degree, how it'll favor you and your country home. Don't be in a hurry to submit, Google, read from part 13. If possible attach a LOE to the SOP It'll surely end in praise. |

bayosegun:Hello Bayosegun, The issue can be easily sited in your course selection and your SOP was really weak. You failed to build your ambition for wanting to pursuing a degree in Theology to the already acquired experience and other certificates received relating to Theology. Also, you failed to clearly talk about your home ties and level of establishment in your home country even though you show documents for it. The was no proof of relationship and reasons for a third party sponsorship in your SOP. In general, the application wasn't good enough. My advise: 1. Defer your admission to the next possible intake 2. Request for your gcms notes 3. If possible, change course to a related one either to your previous course or work experience, because convincing the VO on a sudden career switch is tedious and painstaking, but not infeasible. 4. Draft a well composed SOP on why the course, country, benefits, future plans, sponsor etc.; and the LOE to address the refusal reasons. 5. Work on your funds and sponsorship commitment by getting the person to transfer your 1yr LE into your account, and if possible make half payment of your tuition fees. Before you pay, check the school's refund policy. 6. Re-confirm to be sure if the school offering the theology course is an approved DLI and can guarantee you a PGWP to avoid sympathizer's empathy. 7. Work properly on your home ties In all, the visa is still not guaranteed, but package your application well and leave it to the VO, as you will also leave the VO to your God. Good luck! |

Phatkings:Contact your school by simplying attaching the evidence of payment. Normally, for some schools, it takes 3-5 working days, as the case may be. |

abusmanlouis:Aside the promissory 3m, how did you explain the 4m in your personal SOA. What is the duration of your studies and how much is your fees? |

holart92:Hello Holart92, This is sad. The VO indeed verified the statement and was not based on assumptions as they "sometimes" do. They even mentioned the name of the bank. To be honest, did you submit a fraudulent statement or you used an agent? The best way to handle this issue convincingly is either: 1. Send them your Bank Statement Ticket ID and Password. 2. Get the bank to send your statement directly from their database, server or as the term may apply. 3. Get a verified and authenticated bank statement from the bank in PDF format, if possible, print beyond the dated duration you presented and send via your email with a well authenticated reference letter or formally written letter to back the authenticity. The bank can simultaneously send via their own organizational email too. Good luck! |

Dhinmmar:Why should he? The SOP does not contain any personal info about the applicant. Not a big deal |

Good morning, I am trying to apply for M.Eng Mechanical Engineering at MUN. However, when i clicked on the portal, i found 2019-2020. I am a bit confused if this applies to me. I want to apply for Fall 2020. Should i go ahead and pay for 2019-2020? or should i wait until they open the portal for 2020-2021? please help because i want to apply through an agent and she is telling me to pay for 2019-2020. I am a bit confused right now. |

Horlamidei:Hello Horlamidei, The bigger mistake you made was to apply to just one school given your low CGPA. Trying applying to more colleges. As you are aware, Engineering related course are highly competitive in Canadian institutions. Try to do a deep re/search on other courses (less popular) than core engineering courses, but it should be in a way related in less popular colleges. All the best! |

NwanyiOkpa:I think you should wait for the portal for 2020-2021 in my opinion. Why are you using an agent? the application process sent difficult as long as you ha e all your documents and meet their requirements. |

vinz0499:First thing you should consider is the school's refund policy. Secondly, the school's tuition payment mode and deadline(s). Thirdly, your pocket budget for both your tuition fees and LE, this enables you go about the tuition payment. Hello Vinz0499, Not sure, but I think Fanshawe isn't that flexible when it comes with tuition fees and the time duration to meet it. If you have the funds, you can pay the full tuition and try to upgrade tour funds to cover your 1yr LE. If not, work with the installmental payment dates and deadline given. Its best advised to get a capable sponsor if you haven't, as it frees certain financial scrutiny by the VO Good luck! |

campu:I am trying to get a simpler way of sending my recommendation letter actually. The recommendation letters i have are hard copies and i don't know how to send it to MUN since they are saying that my lecturers need to recommend me from their own email address. Should i scan the letters and send to MUN grad email address? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by JustMellow: 11:39am On Aug 29, 2019 |
olalemii:Hello Olalemii, Actually, the VO knows better irrespective of the filed application. Though, your application seems good, but who's your sponsor determines the sufficiency of the funds to cover the tuition balance of the 25k tuition after the 4k payment, when your sponsor have a closing balance of 10m. If you remove the balance tuition from the 10m, what will be left of your sponsor to cater for is own personal needs and family. I presume you using a third party sponsor. Also, I doubt if there was a provision made or showed on how the tuition fees and LE for the subsequent year will be met. Don't let me scare you or ruin your morale, this application is well enough to land you a positive decision, but as a way of scrutinizing, the aforesaid points was raised as an added insight and heads up. You should be fine if that's financial level you can show, what matters most is to keep believing. All the best! |

NwanyiOkpa:First of all, have you gotten the recommendation form? With that you can send it to your lecturers. It easy to fill, let them recommend you with that and let them send it directly to the email address on the form. |

ralfudoh:Hello Ralfudoh, This is the type of VO applicants should pray not to handle their applications. Its true that once an applicant is found inadmissible for criminal or certain health reasons, especially if issued a ban of 5yrs or sentenced to 5yrs in jail, such applicant is "likely" to still get a favourable decision though might be almost impossible. If the applicant has been found inadmissible to enter Canada and has serve less or more than the 5yrs of been convicted, the applicant can apply for a Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) which is completely different from Temporary Residence Visa (TRV) to facilate entry into Canada for a short duration for time as a foreign student, foreign worker , or visitor with very important reasons to visit/come. However, such applicant won't be eligible to apply for a permanent residency. A criminal inadmissibility can be in severe forms other that serving a jail term or been convicted for a crime. The criminal inadmissibility can be removed or waived either by applying for a Criminal Rehabilitation Process or Deemed Rehabilitation, but can only be eligible after serving less or more of 5yrs punishment. Though, the process isn't also a guarantee just like every other visa categories. My point is that, if convicts can still be listened to with a bailout to enter Canada, then why not an applicant who also got a 5yrs ban for another type of criminality inadmissibility. But in all, prospective applicants should desist from submitting fraudulent documents to avoid been admissible. This is just to point out that the claimed VO is the unconsiderable and harsh type. |

dangervu:Hello Dangervu, Sorry about the outcome of your application. What is your previous course and prospect course/program, how was your SOP, what's maritial status? Your finance is also not strong as a self-sponsored applicant. There might be more reasons for the refuse, do request for your gcms notes before proceeding in reapplying Good luck! |

NothingDoMe:I, for one don't think jailing is the best solution or option. If it is, there won't be incessant crime rate of violence, arm robbery etc. Even death sentence doesn't stop murder and the likes from happening. |

Dear All, Thanks for the information provided so far. Can anyone help confirm if a registered land survey can be used in place of a Certificate of Occupancy when submitting the application. Thanks. |

Jeanjohnny:Hello Jeanjohnny, As far as I can tell, your aoolication is good, and there will be no need for a co-sponsor. Irrespective of your dad being your sponsor, if I were you, i would convince him to at least transfer 3m into your SOA to boost it showing your LE. It will make more sense that way, as the balance of tour dad's account will still be sufficient. You quoted my response to a moniker in respect of the including all siblings. You should know that I only answer questions based on the presented information to it. However, its not compulsory including all your siblings. If your father wants to state the number of children he has, which the VO might scrutinize in terms of the available funds, he could put it in this way in his LOS that he has "7 children but 4 are dependents and gainfully employed," depending on the number of siblings you intend to state (do well to provide their birthday certificate or any proof) and same should be all stated in your SOP. Also, endeavour to show proper home ties to convincingly show your level of establishment. Then lastly, connect the relevant documents that builds your application thoroughly in your SOP. All the best! |
