I used my first salary to buy HP laptop, I later upgraded to Apple though

Earned it in Japan and bought digital camera long time ago

My first salary was 8000
Gave half of it to the woman I was staying with then
She really try for me
The rest na food n cloth

Nysc - Bought innjoo fire
First Job - Bought shoe n some wears

All the while parents pretended they no send the money but when siblings started bringing theirs, I then realized. Although I bought small stuffs for them but not with the first. No be my fault, they assume I should know, but I was first to earn salary...How was I to know?

I was just 16 and recently graduated from secondary school when I earned my first salary. I gave it to my father who returned it. I bought a pair of black trekkers and a carton of Milk Maid after that. Now, we're big boys looking back with nostalgia at those days.

I paid my friends school fees, bought a laptop and a phone and had a good plate of goat meat pepper soup.

I was in a discussion with some IT students some days ago, when one of them said he used his first salary to organize a birthday celebration for his dad. Reason being that he one day never saw his dad celebrate his birthday, rather he celebrated every one of them in a very special way when they were kids, which made him feel the need to make his dad feel special on his birthday.... I so much encouraged and applauded him for doing.

Reason I'm here trying to know what we really did with our first salary from those who can remember, because I can't even remember mine.

I remember giving all of it to my parents, not like they even needed it because they were independent and self sufficient but it was a promise/ agreement between me and God.
They asked me to kneel down and showered blessings on me. I remember my mother crying tears of joy as she blessed me that night. Those blessings are still leading me today. I can proudly say I am blessed with wonderful and supportive parents.

I tap into those blessings too as I read of them.

First showed to my Uncle whom I was living with. Then gave to my elder brother who needed 10k for his NYSC travel and other misc. It was ₦14k though.

I have a brother like you. I won't forget him for his contributions to my life.
