I wasn't the only one that watched the debate.

By the way, you cannot assure me.

I also watched the debate, and with all due respects to the current VP, Peter Obi cleaned him out. What he offered was practical solution based on his years as a business mogul. That was the right thing to say. You cannot shut the country down just because you want to chase corrupt people. If you shut your business down to chase thieves, you might not have a business left by the time you return.

How is that strong point a support of corruption?

Umahi is simply a media governor.

In circles of what is really happening, they know better than you do..

That he puts up flyover and flag off flaggables is not critery...

For now, he is a media governor and doesn't stand any chance...

Governors that plays on the instinctd of masses are simply jokes..

What an arrogant comment?

I don't deal on mediocrity because his raging bull can't do anything for Nigeria...

As for been audacious, you can also lie to high heaven's.

It takes an audacious man to look at his state's limitations and still jump on top of over 20 huge projects and still dragging all of them along nicely to the surprise of everyone. The man is the most courageous leader I have seen in the recent past.

I would rank Umahi high on the list of potential Nigerian presidents of Igbo background

That is to say that even you as a person is not fit to occupy a position.

No sane human being will recommend someone who has no recourse to decency and futuristic approach with the peopy.

The people are the economy not the other way.

The people can't be suffering and you claiming to be audacious.

No wonder una governor's plays with una instincts at will.

Development starts with people, if not the economy is useless.

In no order:

1. Governor Umahi of Ebonyi State (has executive and technical experience. He is an Engineer)
2. Governor (former) Peter Obi (has executive, business and VP electoral experience)
3. Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala (arguably the most accomplished (currently) economist from Africa, and the initiator of the forgiveness of Nigeria's debt by the World Bank during the Obasanjo's regime; has managerial, administrative, and foreign relations experience; multiple time minister in Nigeria)
4. Dr. Kingsley Muoghalu (former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, university professor, economist and having Presidential electoral experience; young and digitally wired unlike analogue Buhari)
5. Prof. Chukwuemeka Soludo (the most impactful Central Bank Governor ever, university professor, and serious economic guru)
6. Dr. Chris Ngige (former Gov. of Anambra; has executive experience, has administrative experience, was/is a medical officer, and actually a very serious minded person; he is in the ruling party)
7. Mr. Willie Obiano, governor of Anambra State (has executive and management experience)
8. Mr. Sullivan Chime, former Governor of Enugu State (has executive experience; left Enugu state much better than he met it; he is in the ruling party now)
9. Mr Ben Akabueze (former Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning under Tinubu and Fasola; he is in the ruling party)
10. Mrs. Obi Ezekwesili (Yes, Oby hahahaha - Nigeria needs a revolutionist who can go against the established system, just like Trump)

Honorable mention:

Mr Uchechukwu Ogah [(current Minister for State for Mines and Steel; very successful industrialist; he is in the ruling party). However, too early to call until we see how he performs during this period]

This list is limited to Igbos who are either currently in Nigeria or those who have had significant Nigerian experience in the last few years. Igbos outside Nigeria are excluded.

This is a good list and I like that it cuts across all parties and shades of people. Igbos should not be putting all their (political) eggs in one basket

If 1,6,7,8,9 are options of Igbo presidency, their loss would start from the SE..

If Igbos exclude 6, 7, 8 and 9, possibly because they have APC affiliation, they may be shooting themselves on the foot. It is about time Igbos play the Nigerian politics of mingling with everything ''mingle-able''. Igbos can never rule Nigeria via exclusionary politics. We use to have the number to play such politics; but now we no longer do. More than half of the Igbo population is either out of the country or out of Igboland. Those cannot either vote (those abroad) or their votes can be manipulated or even abrogated (those who live in non-Igbo Nigerian space, as we saw in Lagos with Tinubu and his Oluomo boys). A word is enough for the wise.

I am an Igbo and I approve this message.

The OP is mischievous. I see some bias in this list.
Why remove the APC South Easterners from the list? This list was doctored by an Omanbala apologist.

Dave Umahi will make a better President than everyone in that list thereafter Soludo, Amaechi and Okonjo-Iweala.

Below are my list of Best President of South East extraction. I would go a bit to even add Igbo's from the SS. First from the list are south easterners.

1. Dave Umahi
2. Ken Nnamani
3. Charles Soludo
4. Sullivan Chime
5. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala (Rep Abia)

Igbos from the SS will include

1. Rotimi Amaechi
2. Ifeanyi Okowa
3. Liyel Imoke
4. Pat Utomi
5. Ibe Kachikwu

The likes of Peter Obi and Nyesom Wike have no business in my list. Both lack charisma.

Those guys are not marketable in the SE, not because of political affiliation but the little office they have held has had no dignifying impact both to the state and general.

And since you are IGBO, you know an Igbo man would not support someone he knows would not do best just because he wants an Igbo president.

Just like Obasanjo was not marketable in the SW; yet, he was twice the president. Keep in mind that SE Igbos don't really have the numbers of votes to influence anything

The only APC member in that list is not even really a staunch party man in the person of Chris Ngige.

The likes of Rochas and Orji Uzor Kalu are painted black in the list.

Ogbonnaya Onu also has the electoral experience too and would have been a good Presidential candidate if not for his political silence. I think the likes of Onu,Amaechi and Rocha's should jostle for the APC ticket.
While others vie for that of the PDP.

6. Dr. Chris Ngige (former Gov. of Anambra; has executive experience, has administrative experience, was/is a medical officer, and actually a very serious minded person; he is in the ruling party)

Which Rochas are you talking about? The one who stole billions from Imo? Which Kalu? The one who stole billions from Abia and gave them a string of mediocre leaders in TA Orji and Okezie?

Amaechi is great; but he is not SE. This is not a list of SS Igbo leaders

Every politician is a thief. From north, west, east and south.
Peter Obi is dirty and was fortunate to have used tribal politics to defeat Chris Ngige in his 2nd term.
Had Ngige won that election, foul nyash would have open. I repeat, the only clean politician in Anambra state is Chris Ngige.
Peter Obi is an hypocrite who invested Anambra stare money into his personal business.
Rochas stole flamboyantly but Peter Obi stole hypocritically.
