In my application I stated I had siblings in Canada who aren’t there illegally and my mum is a tie in Nigeria and also attached an offer of employment letter upon my return to Nigeria as I’m currently serving

The V.O analysed your ties and found it weak. Try including more docs or anything that is strong enough to compel you to return. Work on that and you're good to reapply.

Oh! True.. Flywire is among the payment options given by the school. So check for your school options.
henifri:
Thanks. I tried to use Flywire, but it seems they don't have an agreement with VIU as I could not find VIU in the list of schools. It's payment for tuition. About $15,000 CAD. DO you know of any other options?

How come did I miss this entire drama. Episode 2 of SOP. Am back and waiting. Makano said something here sometime ago. We are too lazy. Someone wants to go for a research masters, but can't write SOP about himself, please what can you go and research about if you can't research about your ownself. Thats why they always fall vulnerable to others. Write something and share with friends and others for their inputs. Ive personally assisted review SOP for people on this thread for free. The likes of Thesoj, Double08, Morgan, Senator, old time gurus helped me for free. I see it as a way of giving back, I was helped for free, I help for free. Those that collect money, we complain about been treated badly by foreigners yet we slaughter ourselves. On the USA thread, people no longer share names of schools that offer them full funding so that others won't apply, are we really helping ourselves? If you can't help, just keep mute. Rather than exploit others. Same way we frown at the use and promotion of agents, same way we should frown at charging for SOP. Peace!!!

Please guys I still need volunteers to review my SOP for me;

I strongly believe 2-3 good heads are better than this my itibo head;

Thanks as you respond to this;

PS: I will prefer people that have gotten their TRV so they vet it based on what worked for them and what they feel is the standard,

I'm really disappointed that both of you are taking advantage of people who seek your help while appearing to be doing it free of charge here.

I will suspend your IDs if those ads are not removed before the end of today.

Thank you.

Hello Justwise,

I commend the manner which you've conducted the whole situation, and I am sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused to this reputable thread.

Just for clarification, i believe you've seen my previous post today regarding this SOP saga. I'm pointing it out again that i have never or will ever approach, encroach, coerce, deceive, persuade or dictate for any member of Nairaland to seek my services. My way adopted to create awareness of my expertise in my space or timeline of my email doesn't make me selfish or gullible.

Many people who seek for my help has gotten a total selfless services from me, but i don't know who is more hypocrite between me and some of the people who after a selfless service rendered still wants writing their SOP to be free. I have an image to protect on Nairaland.

I am sorry for derailing the thread.

P.S: my point here is, i don't think its wrong for me to advertise my expertise in my private space without any intent of persuasion, encroachment, or coercion. I am not a pretender or a scammer, but sometimes, as sane humans, we have our ways of sourcing for growth and recognition.

I will really appreciate if my account is not suspended because my intentions are genuine.

Once again, I am deeply sorry.

Stay blessed!

Good day guys.

My sponsor sent me the scanned copy of her bank reference letter. Can I print it in coloured and attach to the SOA?? Or must I get her hard copy.

Thanks

Hello Kjoy,

I believe your sponsor resides outside Nigeria? A coloured print out will suffice. Endeavour, to use a sharp coloured printer.

Good luck!

Good day I was denied a Canada study visa based on this reason
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.

Please how can I respond to this situation if I want to reapply

What do you use as your home ties? you can list them out. Thus, this can be easily tackled by showing how well established you are in your country of residence by showing investment certificate, landed properties (a plus if it generates income), family business, personal business, voluntary or humanitarian services, work etc.

If you not in haste to reapply, you can as well request for your notes to know if there are other subtle additional concerns raised by the VO.

Good luck!

Hello gurus in the house. I have ND in Mineral Resources Engineering and HND in Geological engineering. I want to pursue a postgraduate diploma in Project Management, does this prove serious career advancement especially for visa approval?
Thanks.

Hello Gsk4reality,

The choice program is okay but only you know best if project management relates with your previous studies. Have you tried searching for more courses in related fields? You can also use google to broaden your search for courses.

Good luck!

If paper application, yes you need a hardcopy else, submit it like that if online

In addition: If the BS is a foreign statement, it would pose no harm printing it out. I have been a witness to successful applicants using it.

University of Manitoba offers pre-masters program in Geology. Is it advisable for a hnd holder in geological Engineering to apply for such program , is there any hope of VO approving Visa for programs like that.
Thanks again

Go for a Graduate Diploma/Certificate (PGD/C). It will make you eligible for a future Masters program.

Hello guys,

I'd like to know the best way to handle question 6.... I have the relevant experiences and qualifications but how do I "list" them with the limited space.

I'm really confused here. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Just only state the held positions and year(s). The evidence to be attached should be your CV and other employment (or any activities) documents that back your claims.

Hello Experts,

How do I stop my application for Study permit, school started already and I have deadlines to withdraw so I get my fees paid back (Sept 17th). Kindly advise, do I just process my fees return only or withdraw my study permit applications so I can reapply later.

Btw, applied Late July. completed and passed medical, Biometrics completed etc.. just waiting for approved.

This one is quite dicey cuz your decision is around the corner and you're 80% likely to get approved. Have you discussed this with the International department of your institute?

It might be more efficient for prospecting students here to also try the UK as well as Canada to improve yr chances. I know many people who are now opting for that.

UK Introduces 2 years work Visa for international students... Am sure the traffic for Canadian study permit will reduce drastically and Canadian VOs will reduce their unnecessary refusals, cos am sure most Nigerian peeps with their money will prefer going to the UK than Canada.. What am saying in conclusion is that Approvals will be more than refusals in the coming months, or better still starting from Next year.... Peace

I don't think CIC has passed his medicals. I am assuming its the hospital that told him that his medicals is okay and he has said it is passed. Biometrics completed means he has submitted and not BVL. My thought though. For more clarification, I think he needs to answer some questions as: Did he/she submit an online application/linked a paper app? What is the status? Is the portal showing medical passed and has he gotten Biometrics Validation Letter?

If that’s the case, you can advertise your business on instagram and not on this thread, and I’m sure you will get what you need there.

You know why I like Nigerians? Every one is waiting for people to start applying to UK so that pressure will reduce on Canada and they will apply. People will still come back to Canada. We all know that Canadian education is still among the cheapest compared to UK

Has any one drop passport at the Lagos VAC recently.

Omonoba1981:

I think he has settled for Lagos, however what is the process

https://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/nigeria/how_to_apply.html#temporary_documents

After checking the above link, seems I need more clarification,

- He did his application online

- And got passport request, and he plan to use his younger brother to help him drop the passport at Lekki.

- Does he have to pay and how is that done ( which part of the service fees should he pay )

- He also plan to use his brother to pick the passport when it gets back.
