They don’t have to call the host, it’s not mandatory, I guess they call randomly, if they aren’t satisfied with something in the application, if they need to reconfirm or verify certain information. people have gotten visas without the eco calling their host and people have also been refused visas after the eco must have called up their host. Just hope for the best!

Why not make the visa application by yourself and ask for help here.. things have changed, it is no longer how it used to be in the past... face agent and get ready for the worst outcome.
900k for visa that is less than 50k
Money that will help your application cry

Corrected as directed

Cost breakdown for 7days visit
Flight 495
Hostel 100
Feeding 120
Transport 70
Sight seeing 70
Shopping 30
Miscellaneous 30

Total 920pounds Equals 410K naira

420K minus 180K disposable income
= 240K by 2months = 480K

Hope it is better packaged now? I must really appreciate your positive feedback this far my good people.

BizBloke:

Not a guru, mbok.
1. Flight: This is fine. £495.

2. Hotel: Giselle has covered this; so no need really touching it much.
You need to work it down low. Use Booking.com, filter the search to hotels within the postcode you're travelling to; also, use "Lowest First" filter to get cheaper/affordable rates. You can get £100 for 7 days, or lower.

3. Feeding: This means you'll spend roughly £21.5/day if we go with 7 days or £30 if we go with 5 days. I think this is fine. £150.

4. Sightseeing: NGN45,000 (£100 @ NGN450/£) should serve, instead of NGN80,000. Even if you plan visiting a museum, a ticket should be around £8-£15 but it depends.

5. Intra-City Transport: This, I know is fine. Mention in your cover letter that you'll purchase "Dayrider Ticket" per day so that it covers your bus trips within the city. So, £50.

6. Shopping & Miscellaneous: Chocolates, cookies, et al. could be gotten from 50p up. So perhaps the budget for this is okay or you can work down "Shopping" to £70 so that both adds up to £100.

£495 + £100 + £150 + £100 + £50 + £100 = £995. Still look at these categories & see what specific category's budget can be realistically reduced (Feeding, for instance?)

Cheers!

Looks better to me.
I'd like to add this: perhaps you chip off £20 from Transport & add to either Shopping/Feeding/Hostel.

Here's why: I'm not sure you're going to spend more than £35 on Transport within 5 days except you do a Coach Ride or Train Ride from one town to the other.

And you used a £1 = NGN445.65 exchange rate (correct?) I'd suggest using AbokiFx too, alongside Oanda. Actually, I think it's better to have a margin of error by overstating an exchange rate than understating it - in order to manage currency fluctuations.

Good luck!

Hello Everyone.
I need your help please. Is it possible to switch from a Family visit visa to another type of visa? I've been travelling to the UK with my wife on a Family visit visa, invited by my brother inlaw in the UK. 6 months,2 years (2×) visa. But this time around I would like to go on holiday with my wife and 3 children,so we won't be able to stay at my brother inlaw's. Looking to stay in a hotel. I'm planning to renew me and my wife's 2 years visas and apply a fresh application for our children. What other visa category can we switch to please? And if we switch,Will if be possible to renew the 2 years on another visa category?
Waiting for your reply please
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 8:01am On Sep 27, 2019
All various types of the visit visas have been converted to standard visit visa so yes you can apply and state a hotel as your place of address this time. Mind you, you should have a hotel booking confirmed
