It's because the recipe is spice based, then garnished with vegetables .
It might look similar to fried rice but tastes different .
Yaji is the spice mix mallams use for their suya (with it, you can make anything )

I used all the spice at my disposal:
Turmeric powder
Fresh ginger
Curry powder
Yaji
Bay leaves
And so on...
