If we hated Yoruba's so much why did we vote OBJ ...it seems u don't even see my point

So what do you expect from Igbo's in 2023

U want Igbo's to vote south west in 2023 ? And why
You voted obasanjo, who should you have cast your vote for? Okadigbo? You have no option, it is either you vote one between the two Yoruba contenders, but you chose to vote obasanjo, a northern anointed candidate against olufalae, whom Yoruba's preferred

Because we are compassionate ....if we practice regional government no Igbo man would really be interested in the presidency

It is not because you are compassionate, it is because you are a conquered people and the Fulanis knew you are useful slaves.

If we still practice regional government, the Igbos would have been using Visa to enter the western region coz the rate of the growth of the defunct western region is an envy of the world.

Azikwe had to make sure they halted the growth of our region when he conspired with the northerners to charge Awolowo of treason so that they can tame him. He would later regret it tho coz the same Awolowo was instrumental to the defeat of Biafra later on. A brainy man greater than any Nigerian dead or alive.

Infact Azikwe is the real betrayer
He betrayed Awolowo sided with North
He betrayed Ojukwu sided with North
If it’s not slavery I don’t know what it is

How did abiola end ...then end justify the means

He strategically avoided awolowo

Was obj really a Yoruba man ? Or his brother from Onitsha the son of the late obi of onitsha ...lol

Well after abiola as Igbo's we felt pity for a major tribe who has never really been democratically elected
i'm really surprised you are not claiming obj entire state(ogun) as iboland instead of just obj.

You felt pity buh ekwueme was heavely defeated in the primaries(which eventually ended his political carreer). Was he ought to contest it at all if you indeed felt pity?

You ibo bn losing to Yorubas since 15 BC. I understand it must be so frustrating.

The Yorubas on this thread should not make this an issue of politics so as not to derail the main essence of this thread.

The reason I created this is to show us the development and success of the Western region. We would have been the envy of the world if we had maintained that regional government truncated by the Igbos and logically executed later by the North. We would have achieved more as an independent entity than being in this union called Nigeria.

I wouldn't avoid to mention one of the greatest man we pride in dude, he built the cities Azikiwe greedily wanted to contest in prior his return from abroad, he couldn't afford to return home cuz he couldn't live under trees and on mountains, you asked me how many times yoruba became anything policaly without yeebos and i gave you the two examples.

Abiola died just like every other politician died during millitay regime, Shehu Yar'adua and many of them all died same way politicians die under millitary government, same way Sani Abacha died.

How about 3 million yeebos that wasn't a politician and didn't even have anything to do with politics, how did they end?

I have some of the archives that shows how the Eastern and Northern hemogeny made sure the mid-west is formed from the western region just to limit the growth and dominance of the western region.

We would have been great by being together but the conspiracy was well planned out.

My happiness was Azikwe was alive to see how his people were destroyed due to his actions

The Yorubas he loathed so much went ahead maintain advancement ovet his people up until today they still can’t match it

His people now have a team called Ipob who want the secession he greatly opposed and how the mid west Edo & delta are now more successful than his region

I’m happy he was alive and died a miserable man

read what they did to Benin during th war, both Benin and Delta. They almost record same casualties as the yeebos because of what wicked oju iku did to them, he kill them and in turn set them up for Nigeria forces to also kill them, he became so confused that he declared Benin Republic on their bahalf even when he had almost killed them all.

Bro I swear one Nigeria limited our growth.

We have Lagos with the sea port, investments, and the economy (Crude oil is also here in tiny deposits).
We have Ogun state with the Industries and intellects ( Crude oil is also here in tiny deposits).
We have Oyo state with the landmass for Agriculture to feed the Yoruba nation.
We have Ondo state with the crude oil (infact the 5th or 6th largest producer of crude oil in Nigeria).
We have Ekiti with its natural resources and its academicians.
We have Osun state with the gold deposit.
We have our brothers in Kogi, Kwara, and part of Edo also to join the league.

Why can't we stand alone and harness our resources to complement Awolowo strides. We are born intellectuals, why do we chose to remain in this shackles called Nigeria? why why

God bless you bro. I even have it in my archives some of the investment of Awolowo in Lagos then, they always try to project Lagos success as a influence of the Nigerian capital while negating the effect of Awolowo investment in Lagos itself. Lagos was made before they (Igbos) infiltrated it because of the economic opportunities it offers to the average Nigerian.

whenever they say all this their rubbish about they influencing the economy of lagos, ask them why was Lagos choosed as the capital over the rest of all other cities then, there were many cities to choose from then and to even think they(ibos and hausas/fulanis) had the upper hand of selecting their own cities to become the capital then, why was it Lagos? It's because it was already developed, this is why short sigthed zik insist there must not be secession clause because he was so happy that he'd be able to inherit the already developed Lagos for his kinsmen.

Lagos and Ibadan was already developed and civilized before the creation of the useless entity called Nigeria.

Don't forget Eko is the ral name, it was the portuguese that named it Lagos because it resembled their own city which they named it after. They wouldn't give a name of a developed city to an underdeveloped village.

The only thing they've caused our cities through their invasion is nothing buh ruins.

the problem is ever since their fall out with their slaves from the yeast, they've maintained a very good relationship with us knowing fully well that if we should also felt being treated bad, that will be the end of them, so they've tried to focus on our lands even though all they've been doing are all mediocrity cuz we would have been much better if we had been alone all these while, so many of our people do not see the need to break away from the useless entity, they don't really know we are the greatest loser in the one useless Nigeria, many of us are realizing daily what we are missing, go on twitter now, go on facebook you'd see Yorubas now talking about Oduduwa which wasn't so before, we are waking up little by little, the media and social media is helping one way or the other, it's not just yet enough. We have to keep using both tools in changing our peoples mind, in making them see the need for Oduduwa nation.

If you should look at the present settings, you'll see that even without us never for once agitating for our own nation, we are already more than prepared to break away from the country buh we can't because of our people, if the refrendum is to be passed, our people will vote against it, they are still yet to be convinced on why we need Oduduwa.

They don't really understand what we are losing, they don't understand we can be better than this, take a tour around yorubaland, you'd be wowed.

We must break free buh first we need our people by our side, keep doing it the way you are doing it right now bro. Believe me, we 'll have many by our side soon and that 'd be the end of Nigeria.

What are you talking about? You Igbos are serial betrayers and you have been in romance with the feudal Fulanis from the onset.
Did you see how the New York Times describes it:
"The Federal government whose prime minister is Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, a muslim notable from the north, is managed by a coalition of the Northern people congress and National council of the Nigeria and the Cameroonians, two parties that have very little in common except mutual dislike of the third (Awolowo)."

The Western region being the most developed, richest, most advance region at then was envied by Azikwe and he had no choice than to side with the Muslim north hiding under the rubbish banner of one Nigeria to perpetrate his hate .

The Igbos through Azikwe betrayed the southern alliance by forming a government with the Northerners and you guys are shamefully justifying that.

Verdict: The Igbos are cowards and serial betrayal of the southern hemogeny.
What other artribute was accorded the igbos....THE INTELLIGENT,ENERGETIC IGBOS
we where thinking this was a hear say but this confirms it. This is where the real hatred sprang up.

God will bless you. It is as if our minds is in sync. We need to keep educating the Yorubas on the benefit of having out independent entity. The Northerners know that if the West also in their entirety subscribe to the breakup of Nigeria, then this nation is done.

They will try all the can to pacify the Yorubas as they have always do, check the history of Nigeria, irrespective of the government in power, the Yoruba land always enjoy some form of preferential treatment tho it can be argued that the effect is negligible.

This kind of discussion will open the eyes of the Yorubas that are still sleeping. I have a lot of archives with me about the past happening in Nigeria because I am trying to see where we got it wrong and how we can salvage the situation at hand.

You are missing the actual fact and just carried away with mere adjective.

The western region according to the NYT was the most developed, richest, advanced region such that they clearly opined that other regions dare not boast of the achievements the western region had.

Zik would later align with Balewa out of envy for Awolowo and the success of the western region to slow the pace of progress even after knowing he was taking the wrong step for supporting the northerners which had nothing in common with the Igbos

where will get it all wrong was when we allowed them to create states from the old western region, that was the greatest mistake ever, you know Ibadan was the only and major recognise capital of entire Yorubaland even pre-indepence while Lagos was the commercial center, evey Yoruba work hard then for the development of this very two cities cuz that's where all yoruba pledge their allegiance and reason the two cities were fast developing, immediately they created states out of the western region, everyone faced their new states and abandoned the two cities, Lagos was able to stand because it was the capital buh Ibadan suffered it the most as the formal capital and one of the fastest developing city in the world then, that was how it was left to ruins all this while untill 2014 when Oodua investment company which has been owned by the old western region raised the alarm of abadonment which eventually led to the creation of dawn commission, this new organization was hence tasked with the development in the region, and they with Oodua investment are really doing a very wonderful job in trying to revive the lost glory.

It was dawn commision that hosted the governors the other time when fulani menace was so rampant where they decided on joint regional security and many other that they are doing, go to Ibadan and see new estates springing up, thanks to Oodua investment.

It's not enough you know, there's really nothing as good as having a soverign state where all your resources are used by you for yourself and also, our brothers in Kwara and Kogi are left out in the development. And then again, the two organisation are all about reviving Ibadan first which other state are complainimg about as stakeholders, they want their presence in their states too buh you know how many years Ibadan has been left for ruins, reviving it will take time. And again the two organization can only handle few, they can't do FG jobs like roads and other development, the way badagry has also been left for ruins too is worrisome and many other reason we must continue to push for ourown sovereign state no matter the tactics the north employ. If our people are being massively denied visa to developed countries they would see the need for a better oduduwa.

Yoruba can GO!

Lol, this should be the most ridiculous statement I've ever heard in my life. The southwest as it stands today contribute the greatest revenue to this country from the non-oil sector.

Lagos alone has turned to a refugee camp for all other ethnic tribes because of the economic opportunities it offers.

Ogun state IGR alone is more than the combined one for the 5 SE states.

If the SW were to declare to leave Nigeria, that means all the economic asset of other tribes in Nigeria will leave with it which will make it hard for Nigeria to let go.

Dangote multi billion dollar refinery alone located in the SW is important that any investment in any other region in Nigeria which explains the importance of the SW.

SW or Yoruba part has been the most advance, developed, and successful region right from 1914 through 1969 till date. No same person dare argue that fact.

We are waking up now and telling the other Yorubas that are still under thr illusion of one Nigeria to wake up from their slumber and embrace the new wave of reality.

Lol, voting in Lagos? Don’t you see how you guys are ridiculed coz you’re an ant that think yourself a bird.

Pre-2019 election, Lagos have you the privilege to hold some political post but with your constant bragging, Lagos took that privilege from you and no Igbo man won any post of importance.

Lagos is the Yoruba heritage and no matter how much you covet it, it is a jewel that Azikwe wasn’t able to lay his hands on till his death and you guys will never lay your hands on till the dissolution of Nigeria.

Look the length and breadth of Lagos, the Yorubas will not cede an inch of its territory to any mortal when the eventual dissolution of this country takes full effect.

NYT's opinion of 60 years ago is now digested, hook, line and sinkers, and brought up to disturb us, in this Buhari time.

In stead of looking for what will build us stronger especially in this independence celebration period, someone decided to expend energy digging on actions and inactions of dead Nigerian leaders.

The problem created by mistrust between these three characters is yet to be solved. Don't waste your energy debating on who's wrong or right.

where will get it all wrong was when we allowed them to create states from the old western region, that was the greatest mistake ever, you know Ibadan was the only and major recognise capital of entire Yorubaland even pre-indepence while Lagos was the commercial center, evey Yoruba work hard then for the development of this very two cities cuz that's where all yoruba pledge their allegiance and reason the two cities were fast developing, immediately they created states out of the western region, everyone faced their new states and abandoned the two cities, Lagos was able to stand because it was the capital buh Ibadan suffered it the most as the formal capital and one of the fastest developing city in the world then, that was how it was left to ruins all this while untill 2014 when Oodua investment company which has been owned by the old western region raised the alarm of abadonment which eventually led to the creation of dawn commission, this new organization was hence tasked with the development in the region, and they with Oodua investment are really doing a very wonderful job in trying to revive the lost glory.

Nice one. God bless Oduduwa with all its territory.

I'm talking about what's on ground and you're discussing about propaganda that your people are known for. We recall how Osun reported years ago they didn't need oil allocation to survive but the second, allocation was reduced significantly Osun was the first state begging for aid. When I toured South West was when I realized the level of propaganda from Yorubas about your region. Excluding North, I've not witness the level of underdevelopment, poverty, etc I saw in South West.

Lagos become the refugee camp of all ethnicity due to the greediness of your people. Everything was greedily stolen by your people. The oil company headquarters, despite drilling in my state, are all predominately in your Lagos and anyone that wants to work there has to leave Rivers to Lagos to work there despite Lagos contributes not an inch on the oil production nor experiencing the oil degradation that comes from it. Besides that, headquarters of any Industry has to be on your region, if not, your politicians utilizes every avenue in their proposal to frustrate the industries until they fall in line. Ships have to dock in your region and much more. You've done more damage to Nigeria's growth than good. Yoruba can leave and noone would care. Ask your politicians to present clause for your disintegration and you'll see how fast the entire Nigeria will vote you out if you think I'm joking.

You're backwards and have done more damage than good due to your greed. Leave!! Take your development and whatever else you people ascribe to yourselves and Go.
