you are just a one Nigeria apologist, the name has been imbeded in your brain. Read pre almagamation and see how beautiful the yorubas were doing.
Our lands is still the industrial, commercial and tourism hub of the so called one useless Nigeria today. Nothing will change, it will only become better. Stop acting like a pu**y and man up.

And you need to stop acting like an intolerant prick and a childish brat. You sound like those uneducated Yoruba cultist thugs because the one thing Omoluabi Yorubas are known for is our readiness to ruminate on different ideas to brainstorm a way forward. Just listen to yourself. We are not terrorist or blackmailers in the mould of "my may or the highway" like Boko Haram, IPOB et al.

With your talk, you are an omo ale Yoruba even if you think you are fighting for Yoruba interest. It has to be your way or those in opposition deserve insults. Is that the Yoruba way you idiot? Dude, you are not part of the solution with your Adeyinka Grandson type of radicalism. That is not what the Yorubas are about and you are an example of the Yorubas, forever peddling hate against others like the IPOBian lot you love to attack, who are part of the problem rather than the solution. Yorubas don't carry intolerant anger around you fool and we all don't wake up facing one direction as you wish us to do. You and Legend Hero can enjoy your thread and make what you want of it.

Yoruba's are funny ....after what happened to zik in the western region where he was betrayed

U expected him really to form a government with awolowo ? Funny
Same way u expect Niger delta to support the west in 2023 after what u did in 2015

Same thing awolowo was expecting Igbo support after his role in the civil war ?

U betray someone then turn expect the person to support u ...after they say Igbo's don't build bridges

Since you want to shift goal post then I’ll say you Ibos are funny too. How do you expect the West not to kick Azikiwe & his entire ancestors out when he continuously tried to jeopardise the interest & future of the same west he lusted over during the constitutional conferences of the 50s. Your hatred & betrayal of the Yoruba who gave you civilization did not begin with the formation of government, it extended back to pre-independence.

What cowardice? A request our business and political leaders do more, before we start to blame and hate on others as Igbos do, is cowardice? My main problem with Igbos is how they tell everyone who care to listen all other Nigerians are holding them back. I have always charged them to hold their leaders accountable first. I would be a hypocrite if I don't insist my Yoruba people do same.

I would also not be fair to Igbos if I don't then tell a Yoruba man to not be guilty of what I say Igbos display by far more than others. I.e intolerance for the views of others while insisting theirs opinion is supreme. In case you don't know, this is why Yoruba have no equivalent of Boko Haram, IPOB, ND warlord clans etc. Yorubas will not follow anyone blindly or radically. Get that into your head. Even with our Son Osinbajo on the ballot, and many Yorubas knowing Igbos have a a problem with us, were you blind to not see our people still voted healthily for Peter Obi because they were more focused on the underperformance of PMB than any beef with Igbos? Bro study and understand your own people before you start sounding radical like others. That is not us.

My simple point, and you would note it if you are not angry and intolerant, is that I am favourably disposed to an Oodua Republic but I still think more selfless effort and personal sacrifice from our opinion, religious, business and political leaders would go a long way to showing we are ready.

Oyedepo, TB Joshua et al are billionaires with private Jets costing at least $50 million. How many schools, roads, boreholes and rural electrification projects can that build in Yoruba land? Don't just assume naively, as Igbos do, we will be great once indepedent. Look at human resources, the most important aspect to the development of great nations, and watch what it is doing in challenging times.

I can clearly see the stance of this Legend Hero guy. I even assumed he was a bit sensible. From his write up the Igbos are the problems and the Yorubas can stay alone. But from that logic, the Yorubas and the North have been the ones rulling since after the civil war so how does the Igbos factor in? Are you saying a combined leadership of the North and Yorubas have brought nothing but mediocrity? Yorubas can stay alone but since after Independence you don't hear them talk about their oduduwa. This Legend Hero is just trying to create a false narrative. And it won't work. It all the problems were from the Igbos, the sensible thing is for them to support division and let's see how far.

I agree entirely with your write-up.
The Nigerian leadership, post civil war, has mainly been led by people from the Hausa-Fulanis/Hausa-Fulanis sub groups and Yoruba ethnic group and the country has no reasonable progress to show for the leadership the Nation has been given by these sets of leaders. I am not, in any way, insinuating that other ethnic groups, are in any way better, Ebele Jonathan's 6 years of catastrophic misrule is still fresh in our minds.
OBJ had 3 terms as President, Gowon, IBB & Abacha, had 22 years of draconian military rule and what score cards do we have to show for their stewardship? A highly corrupt, backward and hopeless country currently rated as the poverty capital of the world.
Jerry Rawlings ruled Ghana for less than 4 months in 1979, during his 1st tenure as Ghanaian leader and left an indelible foot mark in the Nation's economic and political landscape before his 2nd coming in 1981, when he transformed the country to a stable and progressive Nation with hope for the future.
Nigeria leaders post civil war, should bury their heads in shame, for 'Shipwrecking' the Nation and unfortunately, leading us to a 'dead end', with their greed and myopic rule. Sad!

Yorubas had good reason to vote APC.

It was a grand alliance of AD with the old ANPP.

In fact, after the 2011 election which PDP won, they mocked Tinubu, the AD stalwart and claimed he was a sellout on the eve of that election.

This further strengthened the resolve of AD and indeed the good Yoruba people to unite for 2015.

In addition, a relation to the Great Awo, in the form of professor Osinbajo was on the ballot as VP.

The rest as they say, is history.

maybe one of the reasons i had issues with your initial post, political leader? Which political leader knowing fully well he/she might be relegated in the new country will tell you it's a good advice to agitate for the new country.

And business wise, you see yorubaland is the commercial centre of the useless one Nigeria at the moment, nothing is going to change in the new country, our location is a great advantage so the new country will still be booming. And literally, it isn't like we hate or preach violence against others or wish them harm buh tale for example, Lagos needs to regualte it's population, how can you do that in one Nigeria? Even regional govt still wouldn't allow this. Not to talk of many development needed which they tagged Federal this and that.

And as for business wise, Yorubas investments are always home, we hardly invest outside, we do more corporate business than any other tribe in Nigeria, our major occupation is Farming which is cocoa merchants mostly, oil, bitumen in Ondo state, industries in Ogun state(which are mostly fdi), agriculture, seaports and all.

So i really do not see the need to panic over business structure of the new country. We don't need a Nigerian politician for any reason, all we'd be needing is a visionary leader like baba awo and that's all.

Bro, let me clear it up once and for all that I know for a fact we will do better than all other regions if Nigeria separates. Yet I don't just want us to do better because that is comparative !! A man who has 300 Naira is doing better than the man who has 200 Naira but they are both very poor men compared to others outside Nigeria.

I want an Oodua republic, once we decide to go for it, to do great and be like a UK or Sweden. I am that ambitious. To that extent, the underperformance and lethargy of our leaders is still a problem.

Before the industrial age, self-help went a long way to keep the West moving in the right direction. We know the FG is underperforming and will likely continue to do so because the income is simply not there to address our major challenges. It is not unreasonable to expect those who have the means and power to make a difference get involved more purposefully than we see today.

Bro I swear one Nigeria limited our growth.

We have Lagos with the sea port, investments, and the economy (Crude oil is also here in tiny deposits).
We have Ogun state with the Industries and intellects ( Crude oil is also here in tiny deposits).
We have Oyo state with the landmass for Agriculture to feed the Yoruba nation.
We have Ondo state with the crude oil (infact the 5th or 6th largest producer of crude oil in Nigeria).
We have Ekiti with its natural resources and its academicians.
We have Osun state with the gold deposit.
We have our brothers in Kogi, Kwara, and part of Edo also to join the league.

Why can't we stand alone and harness our resources to complement Awolowo strides. We are born intellectuals, why do we chose to remain in this shackles called Nigeria? why why
exactly. Why?

you are really funny man, the fund is not there buh the Nigerian politicians are the highest paid in the world, and this is even more reason why we need to go away from the relationship. Let's develop ourself with the little we'll be making. Wasn't the little we were making in cocoa back in those years was what Awolowo used in building Ibadan then? How much more now that there are more businesses and other opportunities. There was no oil discovery in Ondo neither was their bitumen discovery in same Ondo state nor Gold discovery in Ilesha, Osun. It was only proceeds from mainly cocoa.

Imagine how much we'd make on tourism yearly after rebuilding and securing our nation where people do not fear to visit. U.K and many other other developed european countries do not have oil or any natural resources, they are living and doing better than many other countries. If it's tax we'll pay just to see our fathersland glory returning back. Overpopulation in Lagos is one of the many reasons it's so hard for the city to move forward and compete with it's mate, we'll be able to check this on our own as a nation, we can control population and many other. I'm so hurting that you are really not seeing all the op and i have been discussing. Even if money starts falling from heaven to Nigeria for free, there are too many regions to spend the money on, they'll forgo some for some and in next 100 years, many places would be same.

Look at human resources, the most important aspect to the development of great nations, and watch what it is doing [b] in challenging times[/b

so your point really is that you will never be ready for your oduduwa Republic? Because personal sacrifice from your leaders is never gonna happen. You are not built that way
