If there is one thing the north arent, it is being stupid politically. They made the mistake once with GEJ allowing him to sneak into the presidency with igbos and they will not do it again

this is what the Ibos forget. They remember civil war even those werent born, but they think they are the only ones with memory, that the north have forgotten or will ever forget that they killed thier 2 leaders in one go. and the only hope they had the SW who really had no animosity towards them theyve bombarded with hate since 2015....and they think we dont have memory.
What are you saying......you mean Alex Ekueme is a Yoruba man ?

Maybe you should read what Ekwueme himself said about the coup that took Shagari out. it could be the usual Igbo victim mentality or he may have a point. Either way in 60 years an igbo man has never been president, even a minority has become presidnent. Everytime a man of Igbo extraction has been close either as a civilian or military VP or head of state, he has been removed from office.

Let me chip in this for those who have ears to listen:
Any SE presidential candidate besides Rochas Okorocha is bad market for any political party. Listen and listen good, Rochas is the only Igbo politician with widespread acceptability outside of SE coz he has shown he's detribalised, and a bridge-builder, hence the reason he's more like an outcast in his region because he 'hobnobs' with the so-called 'enemies'....lol
Based on this premise, the two leading parties will want to win at all cost in 2023 and any party fielding any candidate from SE(apart from Rochas) is at a big disadvantage because of the kind of politics they've played over time, that's the reason why PDP already zoned the party's ticket to the North.
APC meanwhile, would find it necessary to reward the SW for being the only region from the South where it has a good standing, with the party's ticket rather than giving it to any other region in the South. As a matter of fact, APC would rather give its ticket to a candidate from the North than either the SE or SS in the event that the ticket doesn't go to the SW
The only way to have an Igbo presidency as it stands is for both leading parties to present an Igbo candidate which will not happen because:
I) PDP is desperate to get back to power, any attempt by APC to give the ticket to SE (never gonna happen) will give PDP a huge advantage if their own candidate is from the North
II) APC wants to retain power by any means, any attempt by PDP to present a candidate from SE (1 in a million chance) will be countered with a Northern or SW candidate because giving APC ticket to a zone where PDP has a record of sweeping votes by almost 90% is insane and wouldn't give APC any advantage
This is the undiluted truth, emotions won't change anything
Rochwetin! 2023 should be zone to the SE and let the delegates do their pick, but telling Nigerians that he is the best is an insult

You are not in the best position to say such, it's only General Buhari that can tell Nigerians why he overthrow Shagari's government

If PDP had won last election Peter Obi would have been vp now.
When the time comes? So it is excusable for PDP which you guys have toiled for for TWO DECADES not to reward you, but it is INEXCUSABLE for APC not to give you the ticket despite you sparing no opportunity to vent your dislike for the ISLAMIC PARTY.

Are you guys listening to yourselves at all?

Tell your darling pdp to give you the ticket. It is not taboo!

Nobody is stopping Igbo from contesting the 2023 presidency.

The question is under which political party.. Is that too hard to ask?
under both just like 1999 both parties field southwesterners (falae and obasanjo) 2007 both parties field north westerners (buhari and yar adua) so 2023 southeastern turn shouldn't be any different cos we re igbos by the way re u not aware that wen apc and pdp choose southeasterners our minds wuld be at rest unlike an igbo v another tribe, there is chance another tribe can get d position and apc shouldn't complain of members

apc should choose okorocha and pdp should choose ekeremadu dat way it wuld be a thing of ease to southeasterners

Tinubu is relevant because the SE/SS vote as a block for PDP. Buhari tried 3 times and failed, each time he got massive votes in the north but it was not enough. Buhari won when he and Tinubu alligned, If Buhari had significant votes from the SS or SE Tinubu wouldnt be so relavnt and would go back to being a regional leader instead of a kingmaker. Again the SE are the ones shooting themselves in the foot, by creating a divide youve made the Tinubu and the SW more powerful.

You have the context mixed up. He is relevant politically because he gives yorubas an enemy to unite themselves with. Lagos has no pipeborne water, cultism and violent crime, terrible roads and traffic, etc since 1999 but every election cycle he holds on to Lagos by playing the Igbo card. Threatening, attacking and using tribalist rhetoric
