Zik mistakes that IPOB and NK are repeating.

1. Zik favoured a bigger Nigeria over smaller Igboland. He was fixated on size over quality.
Like Zik. NK and IPOB are being myopic and are fixated over the size of SS included Biafra over a smaller Igbo land. Size of Igboland doesn't matter, what matters is what we make out of it.


2. In an era when Agriculture and land meant everything, Zik felt Igboland needed to be attached to the North and its massive arable agricultural lands to amount to something in global scale.
Advances in technology today has rendered Zik foolish, because Israel in desert and small land with superior technology are agriculturally more productive than Nigeria. It's the quality of the human resources that matters most, not that of natural resources. And to improve quality of human resources, you need total control of your destiny.

NK and IPOB are fixated on sea access and crude oil of SS. But we know that a highly resourceful Igbo nation, with a dedicated government who would invest massively on technology, would in a matter of two decades surmount the challenges of limited sea access, and could even discover other energy resources, including oil in bigger quantities,with better technology.
NK like Zik therefore, is being myopic.

do you care how easily the most internal crisis in a so called niger delta republic or nigeria controlled niger delta can spill over or even arms could enter the country from the heavily inhabited Niger delta side?
do you not care about the security implications of having a capital just few kilometers from the enemy territory?
some of you think its easier to get an all Igbo Biafra but that is not true. while oil is not the key motivation for the agitation, super powers who could help you are interested in it and the last thing on their mind is to "split" resources across national boundaries and create more parties to enter into trade negotiations with over same quantity of resources.

Culturally, related groups who share similar values and vision evolve overtime to get integrated. around 4 centuries ago bonny and opobo were not Igbo speaking, today some consider them Igbo because national integration has taken place because of interaction. 3. Once Zik was convinced he wanted to be a leader of a bigger country, and that Ndiigbo needed the North.
Zik went about fighting the British for independence, while the North were not in anywhere interested in independence from Britain, but would only accept an Independent Nigeria, if only Zik would accept to play the back seat role post independence and hand them (The North) the front seat.


NK and IPOB are heading same path with SS minorities.
These lot (SS Minorities) are comfortable staying in Nigeria. They would not fight for Biafra, God forbid they shed their blood for an Biafra, an Igbo man cause . They prefer Nigeria. But they would not mind being part of Biafra, if and if only IPOB and NK would hand them the head of Biafra post independence, ie if IPOB and NK are able to gain independence from Nigeria.
On this note. You hear them saying things like. "The capital of Biafra must not be in Igboland , if we must be included".
The first Biafran president must not be Igbo", and other funny demands.
These people would not fight with you, but they want the driving seat, incase you win.

It's the typical opportunistic unity. The type Zik negotiated with the North.

There are no two versions of Biafra. The only version of Biafra is that of the old Eastern Region. If it is true what you said about non Igbos not wanting to be part of Biafra, they will have the opportunity to vote not not to be part of it in a referendum

The same thing happened in 1961 when British Cameroon voted in a referendum. North British Cameroon voted to be part of Nigeria and the South voted to join Republic of Cameroon.

Everybody should be given the chance to choose where they want to be
