Good morning my people,

Please have anyone encountered this situation recently?

I registered on the new uni-assist portal"my assist" since 25/10/2019 and have been waiting for the activation code on my mail but I haven't seen any, have checked both my spam n I haven't received any.

I have tried to register again with same email but it says ""Email has been used"" which means I ought to have gotten the activation code.

** I have an old uni-assist account just wanted to register n link it to the old one.

House, what can I do to resolve this?? I have written and call them but no response yet.

Have you checked your spam folder? It might be there

You write the English proficiency exam. It is not a letter
Do your research to find out which of the exams is required IELTS, TOEFL etc.
Be sure to note the band score required of you by your university before sitting for the exam.
So google ielts and toefl and read up.
..

There is sha letter of English proficiency
Which your dvc can grant to you if you go back to your school and request for it.

That's what he's talking about

How long ago was this grin she might be misleading you.
Up until june/July this year, category A was unrestricted to all master's applicants.
Suddenly, it became enforced that to even be eligible to apply, your bachelor's degree hould have been issued no earlier than jan 2017 as a master's applicant.

However, there are other criteria you can meet that will make you eligible forcategory A.

Scholarship
Language certs among other things.

So don't just give into your friend goading you with picking cat A ask her what it entails

How many weeks does it take to get an interview date ? I will appreciate if u can share me a likely weeks it takes. This information will enable me to prepare and plan well. Also, do you think with DAAD letter, I did be consider for it ? And is there any possibility of making it by January? Thanks as I await your reply

It can range from a week to 3months and sometimes never. Things arent exactly rosy in this waka...and with the recent dishonourable discharge of embassy staff, be prepared to wait for even longer periods.

However if your scholarship is legit aka "the real deal" this might just be a cake walk for you, as it's a criteria to apply under the restricted category A student visa.

What are you planning to apply for?
Do you have any admission to study in any German school yet?
Will your passport expire soon?
These and more are factors you need to double check and triple check.

Thank you for your reply.
I am applying for a PhD and I have with me an acceptance letter which stands like an admission letter. PhD as any start date but I would prefer starting January. With my DAAD letter, I can get an invitation letter from my prof for Jan date to compliment my acceptance letter but I want to be sure how long it takes to get a visa interview date. I have read that DAAD award gives one upper hand and after interview it takes just 2 weeks to get the visa. It won’t sound well if I ask my supervisor to write another invitation letter from me having realized I can’t make the previous date I pick.
Gurus in the house, any advice. And is visa interview still rolling out ? All of my document are ready, passport expires 2023 or so

Hmmmm! you'll need to apply for visa interview and put enrolment deadline for your program around when you feel will be comfortable for you to be iN Germany under category A ofcourse.
Then wait and see, if the embassy grants you an appointment hopefully before January then you ask your supervisor to draft you the letter.

Also note that the chances of getting visum by January after applying now is most likely zero. In order for the embassy to not ignore you completely it may be helpful to proffer a farther date.

Concerning if it takes two weeks to grant visum after interview, mehnnn they don't call the bureaucracy in germany a red tape nightmare for nothing
