sure , its not like i am advising a banker to turn a biker, i am just comparing figures here

Surulereman:

Sure, but have you assessed the energy deployed and risks invloved in those endeavours? Opportunities abound to make more legitimate income but never for the lazy or unimaginative man.

You know what's up bro. The money there is madd wink

Bro am a livestock farmer and a transporter so I know what am saying except if people did not move in a day that's when a transporter will not eat and as for the car, the money the car makes is enough to feed and repair it. Don't over do, just plan well and give birth to the number of kids you can train conviniently without having to over work yourself.

der are several factors dt determines if d #80k pay is okay or not.
1. Nos of dependants you have on dt ur salary
2. Proximity of wrk place to ur huz. some pple earning #100k struggle to save #20k pa mnt because Transport is takin a huge chunk of dia salary
3.d kind of apartment you live in
4. d pay won't be enof for smbdy try to compete with d Jones's

D factors are just too long to mention

No wonder some.believe having a big bakassi is better than having a masters degree.

These bank top management are very wicked and evil, infact most nigerians are evil like that. Once they are at the top and comfortable , they don't want to see people working beneath them do well. These useless banks remove all kinds of useless charges from people's accounts and declare huge profits every quarter yet won't pay staff well. Na the ogas go share the profit and buy useless luxury cars and go on vacation. Evil people everywhere
well said

Transportation is a coded business cheesy wink wink

If we quote figures here people won't believe and will say na lie. Transporters rake in 100-200k monthly.

Even with my work at home content writing back when I was serious, omo 300k was the minimum.. So why bankers will stick with 50-80k per month beats my understanding. Although there are many advantages bank job with low pay gives access to but why bankers won't take advantage of them to create wealth is another problem that defeats my understanding in itself.

Honestly!!!

Maybe we should call it lack of information but the guy @op mentioned is a first class graduate. Which kain first class be dat

To me, some people have been poor for too long that they find it hard to break out of their little comfort. The 80k would probably be giving him the kind of luxury that he has never had.

The thought of leaving that job for something better is very scary. Their policy is, the devil you know is better than the angel you don't know. It's a shame that they don't teach all these in schools!!

Withttl the current unemployment rate and economic hardship this country is facing. Anyone who claims an 80k salary is too small should quit and create his own job. If you know the ridiculous work people do to get just ₦30k, you will thank your stars if you are paid N80k and to think that the idiot insulting the guy might be living on another guys salary sickens me

Guy, you said it all. God bless you immensely for this comment!!!

Our fathers didn't use to have all these targets nonsense.my dad worked in the banking sector for thirty years before retirement and mum five years plus. My uncles and aunts worked in banking too. There's a huge gap in workers welfare today from what it used to be.

I earn 90k salary in a month but i usually have runs within the field i work which earns me close to my salary. Besides the 90k is my Net pay which is my take home but my Gross is about 170k every month which is been taxed( income tax), Pension and housing savings which is paid to me every year in lump sum. I also earn incentives some months and get 15,000 naira worth of company products every month that i sell also. Give or take every month i take home 180k which is excluding my Pension. Most Government workers earn small salary but the runs is what gives them real money.

In the case of Seyi, contract staff in Banks dont earn nothing extra thats the disadvantage except a customer decides to dash them money.

Actually the bank is the best place to earn 80k.
I don't know of UBA but in some banks, contract staff get overtime, atm duties, and leave bonuses, etc.

Then add, illegits like pecks from customers and extra runs in some units, links with BDCs, yahoo boys, etc.

Also, the average pay to full time bankers is cool, add allowances and bonuses, profit sharing in some banks, a banker will do very well, easily venture into business or relocate to Canada through dedicated savings.
There's always mass exodus in banking that's one main reason they're always recruiting.

That's why most people resign being a contract staff and opening their own business. Imagine 80k, I go marry, pay house rent and bills, buy food stuffs and pay children school fees inside 80k. Being an entrepreneur rocks.

Nonsense and ingredients, which kinda mentality do we have this day, our stupid politician earn millions for doing nothing. and here is a young man working his life out after doing well in school and you're saying 80k salary is enough.

then by your logic the whole poor masses should not depend on 80k they should all become rich after all what stops the whole 180m plus population from earning 200k per month

80k is bad.

100k is really really really manageable.

200k is OK and manageable.

300-500K is good.

500-1 million is excellent.

Stop taking this personal, lets be factual, what kind of life would you live with 80k?

I don't mean someone without job shouldn't accept the offer but the moment we think the salary is good enough is the moment self worth has become defeated. Nigeria workers are suffering. Cheap labour everywhere.

Bro no matter the kinda job you're doing, please know your worth and don't stay in a place for too long. don't let a low budget job be your fotress.
