you mean people who describe themselves as British-Nigerians, American- Nigerians, Chinese Nigerians etc those ones?

I'd be more impressed by the achievements of those loudmouths stuck in Ikeja
they are Nigerians.. if they commit crimes, they will be labelled Nigerians. But if it is good, the will be labelled British or Americans.. so whatever way, they are and will remain Nigerians.. we accept them like that whether good or bad

South Africans are criminals in South Africa. We don't burden other countries with criminality that's why our reputations are different

Nigeria is a really interesting country, composed of two extremes of people.

The highly motivated professionals who against the odds strive
And are very successful in their endeavors and become world
Beaters

The second set consist of people damaged by the dangerously
Corrupt system they find themselves and are conditioned to find survival by any means possible.

These two sets have migrated into south Africa, thus the paradox you see in different cities in south Africa.

Been in SA, you discover a lot of Nigerian professionals from the health sector to academia are representing Nigeria in flying
Colors, in fact ; the eastern cape health department actively recruits doctors from Nigeria and other African countries.

From Soweto to pochefstroom to Bloemfontein to cradock to fort Beaufort, to Alice to Graham's town to Port Elizabeth to east London to utienhage to George to knysna to tsitsikama, all the way to Capetown especially in the rural areas you have Nigerian doctors and other professionals.

The second set are those you see on the streets of jobrug and other cities ,doing all sorts of disgraceful things.
I say this as a Nigerian currently in Nigeria; some Nigerians do abominable things in south Africa for which they will even be lynced here in Nigeria.

This paradox is why countries in the world are somewhat at cross roads at what immigration policy to adopt as regards Nigeria.

I think a variation of the Canada system can solve this debacle.

Diepsloot is a slum, nobody disputed that, as for Khayelitsha I've seen on the net being said it's the biggest slum in the world, I howevy doubt that, maybe it probably has to do with the fact that the housing is informal however I've definitely seen worse slums in elsewhere in the world.

of all the immigrants in South Africa Nigerians are the most problematic. It's natural for South Africans to have as knee- jerk reaction towards Nigerians.

Hmm.. I don't believe that cos that's what the media has made you to believe.

A South African friend told me how people lie about being a Nigerian whenever they are caught. NIGERIANS are not the only foreigners committing crimes in South Africa.

If Nigerians are so problematic, then we wouldn't have been the third most successful nationality in United States of America.

No doubt SOME of my countrymen are bad but we still have good Nigerians doing well in South Africa.
