It is no lies that the hustle to get out of this country is getting realer by the day...
I want to use this opportunity to invite our Bros and sis to come and enlighten us about their stories because this is Nigeria and everybody have got stories...

What motivated you to travelling out?

How did you raise the funds?

Do you have any regrets after travelling out? I mean was it worth every Kobo?

It's testimony time, you'll never know how your stories will motivate a struggling young man trying to find a way out of this country

Now that we are on front page, let me learn from others so as to prepare my traveling too. grin.

An anonymous once said.
Its good to believe and hope in greater Nigeria,
Its better to pray for a greater Nigeria.
And
Its best when you pray for Nigeria when you are outside

Being in the best category is one decision I never regretted taking smiley

Actually, i'm stil in Nigeria struggling to fly out someday...

Now why do i want to travel out?
it is because i've lost faith in the Nigerian dream, i feel deep within my soul that my fate does'nt lie within the shores of Nigeria.

How am i going to raise the funds since i'm as broke as hell?
i'm gonna hustle and hustle hard...its a sink or swim situation, and you knw what? I'm swimming.

Will i have regrets when i eventually leave Nigeria?
Yes, i'm a Nigerian by blood n soul i breath 'naija' ultimately wherever i go i wont spend more than 35yrs before i return permanently to naija.

God bless

One minute we are shouting Sai Baba, Sai Atiku and another minute na say Naija don spoil.

As much as I consider this as a nice topic, I would like to point out that everyone's case is peculiar.

Travel no go work for everyone. No let who travel make you feel less as a human and no let who him local hustle dey pay make you feel like travelling is bad.

Define your needs and set priorities. Let each day count for you. Don't stop looking for job in the name of planning to travel. Again if you plan to travel, don't let your small 100k job make you feel like you have arrived and forget travel.

Define what you intend to do when you travel. No go Nepal say you want study or sell drugs.....hunger go kill you.
No go Malaysia say you want be pastor or Philippines say you want work. Let your interest in life guide you. No be agent you pay visa for Australia go come tell you say make you go Fuji say you go cross Sharp Sharp and you agree. Or you pay for US and him give you Mexico.

Just pray to whatever you believe in as you plan to japa

Don't come to this topic looking for secret.....people will tell you lies and even if them tell you truth, them case no be same with you. Some wey their papa rich or dey into trading go tell you say them hustle, how e take help you wey dey village or your papa na classroom teacher for primary school.
Let stories here act as inspiration and not to give you the 'secret' grin

I have no abroad story to share. Patiently waiting for God to pick up my calls.

I do have a Nigerian story to share to those abroad though.

There is no peace. There are no jobs. There is no food. There is no electricity. There isn't potable water. There are no good roads.
Police can pick you up at anytime of the day and label you a yahoo boy, and you end up spending years in prison...that's if they dont kill you first.
Everyday, the government thinks of new ways to tax the citizens.
We have a President who doesn't care.
We have a helpless Vice President. Our lawmakers only care about girls with big booty.
The courts, which should be the last hope are now the worst! Massive corruption has killed the judiciary.
The youths are confused. All they do is to argue on social media.
Tribalism and nepotism are the other of the day.

And of course, we have "Village People" that will hate you for no reason.

Nigeria has badly messed up our minds, we now glorify suffering.

Bottom line: If you are abroad and thinking of coming back, don't bother.

Nothing for now
Re: Share Your Nigeria To Abroad Stories Here by slightlyMad(f): 1:39pm On Nov 08, 2019
It depends on the country and your status.

Will break down cost of survival first
Monthly rent of a shity house in the shitiest neighborhood for a room and shared common space $600/month, decent will cost $800 in same shity neighborhood

Upkeep for a month $500 if on an extremely low budget

If you plan to live in the US with a visit visa, I will NOT recommend this as it is suicidal, the reason folks don't come back home after realizing this mistake is because of the shame of what they will tell people they already told they were relocating.

Job options is limited to working in factories, sometimes packing products while standing for hours, they do not sit, let me repeat, they do not sit for 8+ hours and get paid $10/hr and you constantly need prayer to not get caught by ICE

Before you try relocating, pick one day and try to stand for 8hrs. If you survive it without regrets, please come down, these factories need you

People tell me they get back home and cry after day 1&2 of these kind of work after remembering their old status back home.

If you have papers, aka, green card or work authorization, or us passport. Ló and behold, you are a king.

Option are available, you can quit a job today and get another next day. I will recommend America to you, even if you are a bank MD back home.

You can take few month courses in any field and you are set to start making up to $35/hr

If you are in technology, you can even make up to $90/hr depending on your experience.

I sieze this front page opportunity to doff my hat to all Nigerians who are working hard in the US, breaking new grounds and rebuilding our already damaged reputation. You are a rare gem.

If you see or know other Nigerians who are doing the opposite especially frauds, please tip the fbi anonymously. No one deserves to live large at the expense of others hard work I promise.
