onegentleguy:
@ Sir meshpips, reading thru ur posts here, I see why u have been criticized for what could've been helpful inputs.
The problem isn't that u don't talk sense. ...it is that ur talking seems to be chiefly defined by the one motive of wanting to make money off members.
Of course u can make money by getting acquainted with someone u meet here or anywhere else, but it has to come naturally, after building a reputation for competence and efficiency and a good foundation of trust in between.
2 of the persons I manage their portfolio are members here.

A persons VISION might be good, but once it is driven by personal motive and smeared with suspicion, their MISSION loses value and eventually dies in time.
When u pursue EXCELLENCE, success will almost always naturally follow. But 1st u need to be selfless to achieve that. ...and if u truly wish for that, then u urgently need to retrace ur steps.
It would also be nice if u'll learn to properly sieve ur post to exclude certain clauses that could paint u in bad light, before putting them up here.

There are lots of persons who have contributed a lot to this platform. Perhaps even much more than u can ever imagine.
The things u've put up here aren't entirely new. Take my word for it; there are folks here that are more than well rounded in them.
This platform is full of very smart fellows who are distinctive in various professional facet of life, so it'd be out of place for one to assume that u need them less than they need u.
The reason for the seeming attack on ur person by some fellows here is because ur pathways seems to distract from the real aim of this forum. ...we are all here to help each other.
I sense u may not really have bad intentions. Unfortunately though, ur actions and inactions have painted u that light. ...that is what u need to change.
Of course, u can keep up with ur contributions, but change ur pathways.
How? Just rework ur mindset on why u are here, and be SINCERE at doing that.

Just a candid piece of advise my dear.

Regards.

Me I like u too.
No doubt, u've got good talent... but I have a problem with ur extremely egotistical behaviour.
Not trying to be rude, but it seems ur suffering from a Narcissistic personality disorder !!
...otherwise u won't come to a faceless forum like this putting out a supercilious attitude.
Take it or leave it, there are persons here who are way better than u in all ramification.

U can't EXCELL in life with pride. ...'cause it(pride) is about the 'closest friend' to downfall.
Unless u kill that ego in u, u may likely remain outside 'zones' to fully harness ur potential and EXCELL from it.

Trust u still recall the post above.

Hear this:
Ur SKILL(no matter how good) can never fully translate to success until it transmits VALUES !!
...and u can't transmit values if u lack HUMILITY.

Like I always tell folks;
Your ALTITUDE in life depends a lot more on your ATTITUDE than your APTITUDE !!
For while one is an 'ABSOLUTE NEED', the other is only an 'ADDED SUPPORT'. ...hence to acheive your DESIRED ALTITUDE, have an ATTITUDE 1st, then cement it with some APTITUDE.

U urgently need to imbibe the 2 of SIMPLICITY and HUMILITY in u !!

Regards.

Friday Price action

Banks
Short term
- daily wicks above show rejection
- close below opening price suggest strength

longer term view
- close above previous week remains bullish
- despite daily rejection , further profit taking in the coming week may likely led to a weekly inside bar = consolidation
( when prices ranges withing the body of d prev week (will do TA course in Q1 for those interested)
- possible 1 week rest
- what we dont want to see is price going back below last week opening price (example: zenith breaking n17.30 , dat invalidates d move)

Recommend
- if u FOMO in , dont FUD out
- if u booked profit , look for support to re-enter
- if u were in disbelief and missed the bus , wait for support entry
- if u wanted to book profit and still wondering whether u should . .umm ff ur heart wink

have a blessed week folks ,
will be looking at d weekly soon

My fxuser.
..always doing a good job !!
Ur input(and that of BBM) is always appreciated.
Pls keep it up Sir !!

. The same stock I bought for 95naira and it dropped to 30

But if u were following up with posts here, u would've seen when we advised a sell on the stock after highlighting some of the worrying red flags with WAPCO back then.(though things now appears to be turning up for the company)

The problem is that people don't act fast. ...especially when selling down their holding would put them in a loss position.
But like I've said here before; the thing about the TIME VALUE FOR MONEY and the circle of how arbitrage opportunities are constantly been created as RISK revolves around REWARD, means that its often better to be quick from divesting from ur losses once there's a deviation from ur expectations.
...along that line, having clear ideas on how ur risk tolerance(risk to loss threshold in view) relates to ur investing STRATEGY is KEY !!

On a side note, we have since advised a sell on coys like TOTAL, MOBIL...
Tomorrow naw if it drops in price to a low, somebody go come say e no hear am or say they were hoping it will 'do whatever'.
The market can be very unforgiving when u knoweth not when to act !!

Cheers.

I don't need to put out trades just to play to the gallery.

We all have our strategies that make money for us.

People are making money on NSE as we speak. If someone was to rely on your VAP, he will not buy in this market. 19+ will come but wait make we hammer first. And when it comes, we will still key into it and over hammer.

NOT sure he understands the part in bold !!

I did bought but sold again when it wouldnt just leave 1.60-1.62 range. ......... later bought at 1.80 and sold at 1.96.

You know 'Opelenge' no fit compete with 'Obese' guys............in Oga Oracle's voice. I feared the way those guys were playing with numbers. grin

You do not know what you want.

Ask yourself what you want and find ways to realise it.

It is not the impatience that you should solve first.

Ask yourself what you want.

Even with 20kobo stocks that you usually buy, you could still go wrong and get trapped.
