Is it not this same forum that has been hijacked by a group of caucus? To the extent that if you don't mention them, they won't respond to your concerns. What they do is selective responses, they choose what to and what not to respond to. Read the thread and see so many questions unattended to. When people that asked such questions apply for visa and are denied, someone like you who might have gotten visa by chance will come and shout that don't/didn't read the thread. That your visa was approved doesn't make you a better person than anyone else. Congrats on your visa all the same. So many wrong things to be addressed on this thread.

Those caucus have being answering questions here for years and still some lazy mind and those who feel entitled refused to take their time to read materials already here.

Many don't ask a single question but still use material here to apply and get positive results.

Do you think that many of us are jobless to waste time here repeating the same thing for years? Yes i will select post to respond to and ignore those asking lazy questions

I was able to get a free date for 3rd December. Those still searching for Ikeja free dates can remain hopeful. However, I think that the best time to get this free dates is midnight. I got mine at 5.00am.

Please does anyone know how I can self upload my scanned documents?

Bro. One cannot just reduce. He has to state anything as it reflects in his bank statement. I think his disposal income is ok as it is more than twice the stated budget.

There is no point over flogging the issue. What i said comes from the place of experience. as a family man of 2 children with one of them in secondary , i normally put £80 (37,040 naira) as my monthly expenses for the 2 applications so far which have worked for me.
I believe 45k-50k is reasonable for monthly expenses especially for someone that is not married.
I have not seen a refusal letter stating monthly expenditure is too small. They grade you based on what you give them. Try and read previous post on monthly expenditure . I will post my 2 forms here for others to see if i can lay my hands on them tonight. The gurus in the house can throw more light on this

Most times, people don’t respond to certain questions if they are not mentioned because they don’t want issues, if you read like 10 pages back, you would see how a lady took it upon herself to insult me after I politely answered her questions but since my answer wasn’t what she wanted to hear, she started arguing with me and went as far as saying she didn’t ask me in the first place, because of that scenario, I have stopped responding to anyone’s questions, I just read and move along because I don’t want issues. In other words, people rather respond to questions directed at them because they don’t want issues, if they also think the question has been responded to over and over again previously and people are just too busy to respond to every question most of the time.

Even all my visa applications same. Very funny monthly expenses is what I have always put down. They work with what you give them. Just tie all the loose ends with ur account statement, no lump-sum, no small salary, no funny opening balance that can’t be accounted for, not too many dependents, good account balance and so on and so forth.

Okay. You just allayed my fears. Thanks a lot. Also, I earn 300k, monthly expenses is 70k. My trip is for 7 days. Budget is 391k. Was able to get cheap flight (not yet paid, for 218k), hostel accommodation for 40k.. The balance is for living costs. What's your take, please?

You don't need to book any flight.

Also, your disposable income in this instance is 230k. When doubled, it is more than twice your budget. This is very good. You can also lessen your monthly expenses to 60k if it reflects in your bank statement. If not, leave it as it. It is very okay.

Converting your current budget to pounds which gives 829 pounds (oanda rate)

Now what you need is to write a succinct letter of introduction and also detail your itinerary as below
for an example:
Using Oanda conversion rate of Nov 19, 2019.

Flight (economy return) from Muritala Muhammed Lagos International Airport to London Heathrow Airport (please see attached reserved flight ticket) 218,000 naira (462 pounds)
Public transport and taxi from airport to hostel: 25 pounds
Public transport and taxi from hotel to airport when going back home: 25 pounds
Hostel Accommodation for 7 days: 40,000 naira (84.8 pounds)
Feeding: I have budgeted 20 pounds per day. For 8 days i.e including the day of departure, therefore, it is going to160 pounds.
Transportation within: I will purchase Oyster weekly bus and tram ticket for tourism (Oyster is only for London). Will love to visit museums, Buckingham Palace and other lovely sights: 21.20 pounds
Miscellaneous/Unforeseen expenses: 51 pounds

Total: 829 pounds

Include all necessary documents and illustrate your home ties and supporting documents.

Good luck.

Since your wife was born before Jan 1st, 1983 in the UK,
she is automatically a British citizen.

She should apply for UK Passport.

Any opening balance that can not be demonstrated by paper evidence of how it was accumulated or has no hardcore documentation of origin of such money

Like someone said, your budget is for a single trip, do not try to impress them. In my own case i used the same document & information , i only added my new promotion letter.

Yes. The salary payment in the 4 months pays lip should reflect in the 4 months bank statement too.

Dont forget to include employment letter. And also collect letter from employer stating your intent of travel showing date of travel and date of coming back to Nigeria. It should be same as written in your visa application. This will serve as home ties.

Also your wife should write a consent letter that she is aware you are travelling alone to UK that she fully supports it. Also she should include the day you are travelling to UK and the day your are coming back to Nigeria as written in your visa application. This will also serve as home ties. Including your family pictures, marriage certificate and land, car or property documents will also serve as home ties.

Good luck.

Good morning everyone,
I opted for this service when I applied for my visa because I had a tight travel schedule. I got a mail stating my application has been assessed and I should submit my passport. Please has anyone used this service? Does anyone know how long it will take to get my passport back after submission ?

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by asamwababy: 11:42am On Nov 20, 2019
2 years Visa granted for family.

Proof of funds used was liquidated fixed deposit and statement of account showing investment liquidated.

Stated explicitly that the savings account submitted was to show evidence that investment liquidated was available and to be used for the trip. This account hardly has inflows coming into it.

Dependants monthly expense 20pounds.

Did not submit salary statement of account cos their modus operandi at times is to make decisions based on account with low balance
