If I'm to pick a male Nigerian Coach Peter Dedevbo should be number one but the guy selection is questioning though due to some issues during his stint as Delta Queens coach.!!
As for the Female Coaches, Florence Omagbemi remains number 1, then Uche Ngozi Eucharia.

Question wetin? There is no player he dropped you were like "what's going on here?"

Kanu Earns Weekly Recognition as Nation's Top Offensive Player
Andrew Tew
Oct. 30, 2019 Women's Soccer
KANSAS CITY, Mo.- A member of the No. 4 Southeastern University women's soccer team earned recognition today at the national level. Senior forward Uchenna Kanu was named the NAIA Women's Soccer National Offensive Player of the Week.

This marks the third time Kanu has been named National Offensive POTW, as she has earned the weekly honor once in each of her last three collegiate seasons.

Kanu netted five goals in three Sun Conference matches the Fire played in a span of five days. Versus Florida Memorial, Kanu displayed unselfish play, registering three assists.

The Abia, Nigeria native now leads The Sun Conference and ranks fourth in the NAIA in assists with 14 on the season.

Versus, St. Thomas, Kanu scored both goals in the 2-1 two-overtime session win, including a header off a corner kick in the 107th minute to earn Southeastern the thrilling victory.

Kanu is now just three goals away from becoming the all-time leading career collegiate goal scorer of any four-year institution male or female.

Kanu looks to make history today night, as she and the Fire take their home pitch against the Savannah College of Art & Design Bees. Match time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Actually the issue of coaches is not supposed to be a problem. Decide what you want (Local or Foreign), ask for CVs, review honestly, and pick the best.

For me, it is time for Dedevbo . Danjuma, Nikyu and others should be chased away from anything to do with female football in Nigeria.
If you want a female coach, Omagbemi is standard! To me, she is more tactically astute than Dennerby. Dennerby wasnt as bad as people make him. His approach is highly commendable. His tenure saw the biggest moves by Nigerian players abroad. We need a coach like that at this stage. I will go for another European, maybe a younger Spanish or Dutch dude who has interned at top clubs.

I am not aware of why he got sacked. Maybe this is why Pinnick refuses to give him a chance with any of our national teams.

It’s sad that this set of Super Falcons have been continually let down by a combo of bad administration and horrible tactics embarassed which have compounded by a third successive absence from the Olympics. embarassed

Whatever decision the NFF wants to take, concerning the coaching department, must be taken now. The immediate to long term focus should be strengthening the team for the 2023 World Cup.

I think it is pseudo-confirmed that Nigeria will host the U20 WWC. Lagos, Benin, Asaba and Uyo as host cities. Pretty safe choices and I would have loved Ibadan too, but I guess the stadium isnt top shape. If they want our team to do well, dont put them in Lagos. Too much pressure. FIFA will be impressed by crowd sizes.
Big corruption opportunity for Pinnick and his ilks. Big security challenges but those host cities are pretty calm. Huge logistics issues with Lagos, but Lagos always comes through. Those who are smart in these cities should invest in properties- make your nice apartment to AirBnB standard, and you may be lucky to earn some extra income.
Overall, a good opportunity for Nigeria. I pray it goes well.

FROM FRENCH MISHAP TO MOROCCAN GLORY: THE METEORIC RISE OF CHIAMAKA NNADOZIE
opera.com
It was the second group game of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France and the Super Falcons needed to win against South Korea to keep hopes of qualification alive. The destiny of the country rested on the shoulders of a young lady - young and unheralded!
Coach Thomas Dennerby opted to change his goalkeeper for that game, following the poor showing from the first match. So in came Chiamaka Cynthia Nnadozie for Tochukwu Oluehi, all Rivers Angels products.
While many were skeptical and pessimistic about that change, few who have seen her play for her club Rivers Angels, were very confident in the abilities of this young lady - the youngest ever goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet in the history of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, an 18-year-old!
And what a way to announce your arrival to the world. Do you know that saying about opportunities and a prepared mind? Yes, yes... That one! Nnadozie produced amazing saves in that game, so much that the commentators were in awe.
But how did a young lady - who was only second choice at her club - have so much in her to take on such a task right in front of not just Nigerians but the whole world?
Just a few months earlier, Nnadozie had played in the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup where she started all four games Nigeria played, as the first choice goalkeeper, receiving the Player of the Match award for her impressive performance against Haiti.
Shortly after, she got called into the senior women’s national team for the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Ghana where she had to make do with being on the bench for first choice Tochukwu Oluehi.
In a chat with Opera News, Nnadozie attributes her “success” at the Senior Women’s World Cup to the exposure she got while playing with the junior team in France.
“Being in both World Cups felt very good. I learned a lot from the Junior World Cup and it gave me the encouragement and confidence that I needed, even though the senior World Cup exposed me to the world,” she said.
Following Nigeria’s defeat to Norway, the Super Falcons needed to break the jinx of not making it to the second round of the World Cup since 1999, making the game against South Korea a very crucial one. The young Nnadozie who was in goal during the Falcons’ 8-0 friendly loss to France in April, made crucial saves in the victory against South Korea to endear herself to many.
Nnadozie’s World Cup appearance was not without the controversial moments, owing to the new rules and the introduction of Video Assistant Referee (VAR). In the final group game against the host nation France, the young shot-stopper held her own against the ferocious French attack for about 75 minutes until the penalty incident. Wendie Renard missed her kick, but VAR replay showed Nnadozie breached the new rule which says goalkeepers must have at least one foot on the line.
When asked about the VAR situation, Chiamaka said: “I knew about the new rules and regulations, but it just happened that way”.
Just before the World Cup in France, Chiamaka was named the goalkeeper of the tournament as the Falcons won the 2019 WAFU Women’s Cup In Côté D'Ivoire. The Super Falcons defeated their Ivorien counterparts on penalties with Chiamaka saving 2, something that was fast becoming her trademark, as with every other Rivers Angels’ goalkeeper.
There was more to come out of 2019 for this young goalkeeper.
Fast forward to August, in the finals of the Women’s football event at the African Games in Rabat, Morocco, in the face of stiff opposition from fans of Cameroon, Nnadozie again saved 3 successive penalties to hand Nigeria her third African Games title, sending the handful of Nigerian fans at the Stade Boubker Amman Stadium into wild jubilations.
“After the game, when it ended in Penalty kicks, I encouraged myself and my teammates. It was my first time at the African Games, and it could be my last, so I had to give all I had within me and it ended well,” she said.
Nnadozie returned to club football with her club Rivers Angels, a team she joined in 2016. Despite playing second fiddle to Tochukwu Oluehi, she has won 4 league titles and the most recent at the Nigeria Women Premier League Super Four tournament in Lagos where she made multiple saves to deny Confluence Queens.
While some of her colleagues at the World Cup have seen moves to bigger clubs outside the country, the mega-deal is yet to come for this brilliant goalkeeper. That may be because there is a low demand for goalkeepers in leagues abroad but that will not deter Chiamaka Nnadozie who says in the next 5 years, she sees herself playing in one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
2019 has been one to remember for this young lady, best in her career so far. But what a difference 12 months can make in the life of an individual - The story of Chiamaka Nnadozie.
And with many years ahead of her, the story has only just begun.

Nigeria’s Goalkeeper Voted The Best In Africa

POST COMMENT by Joba Ogunwale — November 27, 2019

Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been named the best goalkeeper in Africa, and the 16th best goalkeeper in the World by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).
The Rivers Angels shot-stopper caught the eye of fans and critics at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France earlier this year. The 18-year-old played in all but one of Falcons game in France including the 2-0 win over South Korea where she became the youngest ever goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet in a Women’s World Cup game.

Her performance this year has now been duly recognised as she was named the best goalkeeper in Africa by the IFFHS, while she was also named the 16th best goalkeeper in the world.

Thanks but no thanks. Name 15 goalkeepers better than her at the world cup? It would be hard to name 5. The goalkeeper position is the most discriminated upon position in the world

Super Falcons of Nigeria
A former player of the United State of America U-20 women’s team, Mimi Asom has expressed her desire to play for seven time African champions, the Super Falcons of Nigeria.
The youngster who is presently taking the Norwegian league by storm in the colours of Arna-Bjornar has scored seven goals since joining the club mid-season in July 2019.

Although she just joined the club, Mimi has averaged the highest number of goals per minute played and she is the second top scorer in her team.

Born in the USA to Nigerian parents, Mimi played for the USA U-20 national team when she was 18 years old.
She, however, remains eligible to play for the Super Falcons without requiring clearance from FIFA.
Interestingly, she has not hidden her intention to continue to deliver on the pitch in order to achieve her dream.
Mimi moved to Norway from the USA after graduating from Princeton University in June 2019 where she played and was captain of the team.
She was voted the Ivy League (USA Collegiate football) offensive player of the year (2018). She led the Ivy League with 12 goals and one assist, scoring in nine consecutive matches; including a hat-trick against Yale University on September 22, 2018, and she was voted player of the week three times in the course of that league season.
Mimi was also named to the All-American team by United Soccer Coaches in 2018/2019. She also won the Golden Ball award at youth level.

I commend dennerby for helping our player get more contract abroad ....but what will Nigeria gain from Dede coaching an Indian team ?
olapluto:
Dennerby takes Precious Dede to India. Precious Dede has been appointed the goalkeeping coach for U17 in India. She joins backroom staffs of Dennerby. 1 year contract.

Dennerby continues to help our football grow, even with the poor way he was treated.
