Guys, these things happen.

A close friend of my late aunt saw her at Abeokuta in 2006. She even stayed with her for 2 weeks. Late aunt who struggled in her lifetime was already a well to do and living in her own house with exotic cars in her new life at Abeokuta.

This lady (friend) had relocated to Abeokuta city several years back and never knew my aunt had died in 2002.

This friend came to Lagos few weeks after my late aunt had hosted her. She stopped by at our family to share the hospitality news and how well her friend hosted her for two weeks. It was there and then she got the shocker.

Every member of our family was shocked and in disbelief. In fact one of my cousins followed the lady to Abeokuta to reconfirm but the flat they both lived for 2 weeks was no where to be found and has a totally different building on it.

What makes it scary was that something similar had already happened 3 years back when my Uncle too passed on (story for another day) and we all just concluded that's the norm in my paternal family.

Lost my mum in 2011 and I thank God similar thing did not happen. I still think about her till date and never for once have I dreamt about her in my dreams. To me, it means she's resting perfectly well in peace.

Things happen folks. Mysteries beyond your comprehension.

A house and cars in urban place disappeared leaving a void overnight?
Haha!

You folks are stretching your stories to the ridiculous point.

Bahaha!

This thing happens to people who die before it is their time. There are many of them around, and you can't see them, but you can feel their presence. If you rub the water from the eye of a dog on your eyes, you'd see them. I recommend you don't try it. Be assured that their father would not be seen by them again. He's gone somewhere else until his time is up or until he decides to begin his journey.

What I don't understand is how they can assume a physicality and still hover around until the people they are with get to know. I don't like to do research on extra-terrestrial abstraction, thing is scary.
So you're technically saying he hasn't been judged by God yet, since he died? Don't let serious Christians catch you cos they believe after death comes judgement immediately grin grin grin

It did, but she wasn't in Lagos then. She was on her way back to Lagos that morning when it happened. Sadly enough she was the only one who died in the vehicle.
When you greeted her that morning, did you really identify her as the neighbor in question, or was it after you heard that she had died that you suddenly had the epiphany that you had previously seen her and even greeted her?.

I am asking because sometimes, our brain periodical experience a phenomenon known as the deja vu syndrome, where you suddenly have that certainty that you have seen, heard, or being to a place before, when in actual fact, you have never done any of that. These moments are usually triggered by failure of cerebral receptors or haywire electrical impulses in the brain that may cause a delay in the transfer of information from one part of the brain to another, thus making the cognitive part of your consciousness receive the information twice within a split-second, which would then make you assume you have already experienced the event before. This is the same for the hyponogogic jerk that many people experience sometimes when they are about to fall into deep sleep, where the body would involuntarily jerk or spasm into wakefulness, and you think you were just about to die.

So, it may be that it wasn't your neighbor you saw that morning, you only thought you saw her after receiving the news.

If you have more information, please do share. I am very interested in paranormal stuffs.

How are they even sure that the mother and son are alright... Cos a woman impregnated by a ghost and a child borne by such circumstances are ghosts to me

Many kids on nairaland don't know nothing. The story could be true.
I had a friend back then in Cotonou,he died 2002.And in 2007 I met another guy in Shanghai that looked 100% like my dead friend from Cotonou.
The only difference between them was their names.
The physical look, talk and walk all the same. And then we became friends again.
The time I started thinking if I was seeing a ghost or something, few days or weeks later can't really remember again this new guy died again.Case closed.
This is real folks.
You get mind ooo... You befriended him again grin grin grin

From what op wrote, the man returned home I. 1968, when he was injured not when the war ended. Which means 2019 minus 1968 is 51 years ago, the man being 69 now, if you subtract 69 from 51, it means that he was 18 when he returned home in 1968 as a result of the injury.

As for his son. 38 in 2019 means that he was born in 1981. 13 years after his father returned home in1968. Which means the father gave birth to him at the age of 31.

It is still logical.

My point is, was the Gabon friend the only one aware that this man died? Are there no other survivors of the war, I mean from the same battalion? Let the Gabon man look for ways to find them and let’s know what really happened.
If he really was dead, how did the man from Gabon find his family which he supposedly had after his death.... Does that mean Mr. Gabon was in touch with Pa Thaddeus after his death.... The story is so baffling

It's transmigration of souls. In Yoruba metaphysical world it's called AKUDAYA, which literally translates as reincarnation. It's demons that used the image of that man to create the lie that reincarnation happens.
With prayers ,the demons can be exorcised.
Very true! This is what I've always believed about sightings of ghosts. Demons create these illusions to make people believe people can die and not go to Heaven or Hell directly, thereby causing many to doubt the veracity of the claim that Heaven and Hell exist.

And BTW, the OP, tianshe, is a fictional writer, so this thread is obviously one of his thought-out fictions.

Stop deceiving ur self.

Ur previous post that made him tag you as an adult with children brain says a lot about ur maturity.

Mr Man, I do not have a problem with disagreement. That is how we learn. However, attacking someone because you don't agree with his point of view is not how matured people behave. I am not here to trade maturity nuances with you.

You speak of children's brains: how many children are as malicious as some of you on this forum? How often do you see children fighting each other to prove they are right? How often do you see children jumping into fights that don't concern them? You do have a lot to learn from children. With your submission, you have not demonstrated that you have an adult brain, and certainly have not shown me you are better than children you seem to want to castigate.

Actually what op said is true and I can relate. I lost a childhood friend though he was much older when i was like 11 he was 16 or 17. Before he died, his dream was to study engineering in lautech. We use to have another friend called Samuel who do come along to visit his uncle during during holidays

2 years later my elder sister got admitted to lautech. To cut the long story shot, she met the Samuel who was already a 200l student and the Samuel was like (let's call the dead guys name Tony). Tony just left his place now, that he always get seat for him during lectures. They were both level mate in same faculty etc. My sister was shocked and she was like Tony died two years ago now. Since then Samuel never saw tony again. As a matter of fact Samuel was sick for weeks due to the shock he has been bestie with a ghost.

This is a true life story actually and God knows every word I said here except the name (tony) is true

The funny thing was Samuel was like anytime he asked after us and the remaining kids the Tony will gv our whereabout perfectly. And even when my sister got admitted. The tony first broke the news to Samuel. Weird ryt? Inside life

I think these things are taught in other religions, but Christianity is silent on them. I do have the perspective of how these manifestations take place, but it is best to keep mute when some people in my mentions are busy advertising their stupidity by throwing insults. I am not referring to you in that light.

A few questions for you and your "friend":

1 What is the name of the ghost buster friend of the alleged ghost?

2. How old is this ghost buster presently?

3. Can your "friend" provide a hard evidence of say, a family photo where his ghost dad, his mom and himself featured?

4. Bizarre as this is, and that it 'happened' on an African soil where such kind of news is greeted with much alacrity, why hasn't it hit the headlines?

Pls, consult and revert...

Inasmuch as I don't believe the op because he doesn't sound serious to me, something like this happens, lots of stories from people who are close.

There was this my neighbor whose friend died, a lady in her early 30s then, she was seeking for fruit of the womb, she took a lot of concoctions, poor woman, may her soul rest in peace. One of those concoctions killed her. She died around 4am according to the husband.
Towards evening, there was noise a few blocks from ours, what happened? A woman, a nursing mother, came back from work and heard the news she refused to believe it saying that she boarded the same bus with the lady on her way to work around 9am, that she even collected her baby and offered to help her hold the baby for awhile.
With all the stories, it seems they come back to try and accomplish what they couldn't accomplish while alive or what, I don't know

Like I said, a lot of stories. That you've not seen doesn't mean it doesn't happen. There are a lot of unexplainable things happening in this world.
