Good morning, I had to make an account because of Privacy reason.

I broke up with my GF of about a year and although we have shared so many beautiful times together, due to her family's opinion (regarding ethnicity) she said we couldn't go further with the relationship. She is very close to her mum and her mum is the bread winner as her dad died when she was still little. I had to respect her opinion but she is someone i love truly. Although she began acting strange before i confronted her to demand what the issue was, she finally told me that she can't continue based on the ethnic grounds.


Fast forward to about 6 months after, i started following up with another nice girl, and i did opened up to her. I tell her almost everything and I also told her about my ex. We have had sex couple of times and she keeps telling me that she feels there is a "missing bond" between me and her. She feels i am still bonded with my ex, she feels i the bond i have with my ex is greater than the bond i have with her.


I am scared i am about to lose this relationship also as i really feel she is saying the truth. I was very close to my ex and sometimes i still think about her though. I unfriended her on social medias just to assist me in forgetting her but she somehow made a new account and added me up again. I couldn't resist but accept the request and started communication with her again.

I really need some advice as i think my closeness with my ex is affecting me.

don't u know what u see as minor may be serious to some people? she wants to be serious but if u waste her time and effort, she may take it really personal or even go spiritual on ur case. don't waste her time if u know u have chosen ur ex. she deserves to be happy just like u. think about it. most times we don't get to marry the ones we love the most. there's a reason for that. its more spiritual than physical. despite d fact dat u loved ur ex so much, she may not be your future wife. God knows best. going back to her is not a good idea. for d fact dat she couldn't even defend ur ethnicity, it means even if u marry her later, ethnicity would still split u both. love goes beyond ethnicity but if someone has chosen ethnicity or religion over u, my brother don't go back to such person. its dangerous cos she would definitely yield to pressure again. focus on ur new girl. am sure the love would grow as time goes on. delete everything about ur ex and stop communicating with her. God has given u a second chance. don't waste it

Now, the timeframe for moving on is flexible, different people can take different time to sort themselves out, some don't sort anything and they move on like that.

The OP taking 6months before following up with that nice girl is okay, besides, the cause of his last relationship to fail was ethnic differences.

So, do blame him for not waiting for 2years or longer. Different strokes for different folks, remember that.

Oga OP, you messed up, hooking up another girl when you've not fully purged out the last lady is grossly unfair to the Nice Girl you're currently with.

Na so you go take break her heart, and we'll have one angry person to deal with.

If you can't give your all, apologize to her and quit the relationship before things advance between both of you.
