Tomorrow is 31st December 2019 and the last day of this decade. While some are in celebration mood, a man has decided to humiliate a whole family by pulling out of his church and traditional wedding scheduled for tomorrow somewhere in Anambra because his bride to be cheated on him 2 months back.

In as much as I am not in support of what the bride did, I equally condemned the groom's last-minute decision. He knew that his bride cheated on his since October and didn't confront her. He went along with the marriage preparation putting the lady through so many stress while he remained in England hatching his evil plan.

He came back to Abuja on the 28th and told his mother this morning that he's not going ahead with the wedding.

The painful part of this whole thing is that he's acting as if he's doing the right thing. Spoke with him, he was laughing and the next thing he said was that I can provide my brother to take his place since everything is in place. He carefully planned to humiliate this girl and her family and to be honest, this is wrong.

Bride to be has been crying uncontrollably in the village. She admitted that she made a mistake and she regrets her action. She had more to drink during her friend's birthday and ended up sleeping with one of their mutual friends (action she greatly regrets) without knowing that it was a setup. The next day pictures were sent to her fiance and he held on to it and acted normal until today.

I still don't think public embarrassment was the ideal solution. From the message, he also cheated, but she forgave him. Why was he so bent on taking his revenge that way? Cmon, of course it hurts, but you can't excuse her imperfections, besides it was just once and that was because she had too much to drink. Get it, not her man’s friend. Is English that hard? She said “her friend invited me to a party and she got drunk and had sex with another friend, a mutual friend.” Her friend and her own mutual friend not her Fiancé. Really? I didn’t know English is this hard. And again, let’s say it was her fiance’s friend, ain’t we talking about the fact that she was devoid of common sense and simply do not know not to get drunk at parties? If we are going by this, it doesn’t make her wayward, it only makes her a victim of circumstance. And no one said the husband has to marry her, we are saying not to conclude she’s wayward due to what happened. And it’s said one learn from experience. If we are going by her being a victim of circumstance, she would have learnt her lesson not to get drunk at parties anymore to avoid a repeat of such unfortunate incident.

And what I mean by she hasn’t been caught cheating multiple times is that with her story(the getting drunk and picture part) and coupled with the fact that prior to the incident, it hasn’t been said that she has cheated on her fiancé before, but of course that’s for us. I’m not saying the fiancé should have her back because it’s not easy seeing pictures of someone else on your wife and it’s even better he let her go than getting married to her and hating her. I’m talking about we the public that we should give her the benefit of doubt and refrain from judging her.

You still don’t get it, you need to grow up. I’m not advocating for the lady, neither do I say it’s okay to cheat. I’m saying what if she really was a victim of circumstance considering the fact that it was written up there that she was drunk and pictures were taken(you will agree someone about getting married won’t allow another guy take nudes of her during sex if she was really cheating) and I’m not asking for the husband to take her back, because he’s definitely going through emotional turmoil also and might end up hating her. I’m saying we the public should refrain from judging.

In my opinion, I think men are becoming more reckless than ever. Your girl cheated, yes! But you can separate in private without causing so much havoc & publicity. Why wait till a day before wedding or during wedding to do this?
Truth is you have also smeared yourself in public. If my wife/girlfriend cheats on me, I would rather resolve everything in private either in separation or reconciliation. I can't bring this shame to the public, never!
