Christian new yr is not 1st of January but ADVENT which is around 1st week of December.

Again adding boxing day to number of days Christians enjoy holiday is only being untruthful. Each of the Muslim holiday is given additional day. All Muslims holidays are 2days which make 6 days, bloody boko haramic liar

Never knew 1st January was a Christian holiday till now... wow!

Last I checked, there are typically 3 Muslim holdays every year of which 2 public holidays are granted for each; that's 6 days in total as opposed to Good Friday, Easter monday, Christmas and 26th (4 in total). Even if we all choose to be foolish and call 1st January a Christian holiday, that makes it 5 days compared to 6. And to even think this is the man's only response/defence for the mindless persecution of Christians in some parts of northern Nigeria.

Those days are like 14th February which is Valentine's day or as you have father's and mother's day etc.

I stand with MURIC, MURIC is comparing the Gregorian calender with Islamic calendar. We truly deserve equal treatment, ist of Muharam should also be declared public holiday.

We should also celebrate the Jewish holidays as we them in this country. Don't forget the Sango, Ogun, Amadioha, etc worshippers.

Even some Muslim countries celebrate New Year's day.
