Well, you’ve won. My motive was never to win any argument.
For more information about High-intensity phototherapy for the treatment of severe nonhaemolytic neonatal hyperbilirubinemia click the secular link below
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/21251060/#fft

That’s not all i got though. I’ll need somone who’s not dogmatic to pm me or request for more convincing proofs (not experiments)

I am still laughing. You showed me an abstract o. Lol

Conclusions: High‐intensity phototherapy significantly reduces TSB in nonhaemolytic severe hyperbilirubinaemia and decreases the need for exchange transfusion

At the end of the day it's non hemolytic severe hyperbilirubinemia.

Drawbacks

It didn't talk about hemolytic anemia
The children were term and very near term
They were normal birth weight babies
No kernicterus or BIND
It didn't say whether the jaundice was 1st day or not.
No rise rate
No sepsis

Straight forward neonatal jaundice that didn't need EBT.

Now we getting serious. I said read all the articles in the link, then you slyly quoted what suited you. This might be my last response, fellow! Read all the article on the link. A quick one below

High-dose intravenous immunoglobulin therapy in neonatal immune haemolytic jaundice.
Randomized controlled trial
Alpay F, et al. Acta Paediatr. 1999.
Show full citation
Abstract
A controlled study was conducted to assess the role of high-dose i.v. immunoglobulin (HDIVIG) therapy in neonatal immune haemolytic jaundice. Patients with ABO and/or Rh incompatibilities proved by significant hyperbilirubinaemia (>204 mmol l(-1)), positive direct antiglobulin test and high reticulocyte count (> or =10%) were randomly assigned to receive either conventional phototherapy alone or phototherapy with high-dose i.v. immunoglobulin (1 g kg(-1), over 4 h) as soon as the diagnosis was established. Exchange transfusions were performed if serum bilirubin concentrations exceeded 290 mmol l(-1) and increased by more than 17 mmol l(-1) per h despite both treatment manoeuvres. Eight of 58 patients in the HDIVIG group required exchange transfusions, whereas it became necessary in 22 of 58 patients in the control group (p<0.001). The durations of phototherapy and hospitalization in terms of hours were significantly shorter in the HDIVIG group (p<0.05). No side effects of HDIVIG therapy were observed.
In conclusion, HDIVIG therapy in newborns with ABO or Rh haemolytic diseases reduces haemolysis, serum bilirubin levels and the need for blood exchange transfusion, a procedure which has potential complications and carries a risk of mortality.

Still laughing so 8 children still needed EBT in the group that got immunoglobulin and on phototherapy while 22 babies got EBT in the group that got only phototherapy.

Last last EBT is the procedure when everything else has failed.

At the end of the day if baby meets the criteria for absolute EBT the baby has to get it.

I watched an episode of Grey's anatomy where a Jehovah's Witness parent refused their child treatment because of their belief. Guess what?

The mother went behind the husband's back, dropped the boy at the hospital and ran away.

Dr Karev did the surgery and transfusion on the boy, dad came threatening to sue the hospital, the mother spoke up and said I gave birth to him, I will not let him die if something can be done to save him.

.
Yeah, but i will not suppport your mention ``insanity in the name of religious belief''. You are wrong concerning what actually happened in the ABC drama series grey's anatomy s9 e13. the boy later died as a result of `no blood transfusion' , dr yang and dr murphy are the patients doctor.

Besides which drug are d witnesses using that contain blood? Go to that website if u really need an answer

Typical lipsrsealed

I asked you a direct question and here you are deflecting it, trying to question my motive. It's a pity. I even told you to go research and get back to me. Still you are directing me to your website. It's a shame.
You keep trying to mislead people that I'm asking about drugs. Bro, I asked you about Blood Fractions which your organization permits. It's obvious you don't know what it is your organization policy is or you are dishonestly feigning ignorance.

My question stands : if the sciptural ground for not accepting blood transfusion ; whole blood or major components is Acts 15:29, then what is the scriptural ground for accepting blood fractions derived from stored blood?

The whole Nairaland is watching this conversation. I have kept my words civil and clean. Any sincere jw should critically think about this question and provide an answer.

Please remember to back your response up with scripture. After all you base your beliefs on scripture as you have claimed. You claim the answer will be too long, that's not only ridiculous but an insult to people's intelligence. Jw's quoted scriptures to support their claim that the Bible condemns transfusion. Now I'm asking that you do the same honorable thing to show everyone by quoting a scripture that supports accepting blood fractions gotten from stored blood.

We are waiting for your response...

Intravenous immunoglobulin G (IVIG) therapy for significant hyperbilirubinemia in ABO hemolytic disease of the newborn.
Randomized controlled trial
Miqdad AM, et al. J Matern Fetal Neonatal Med. 2004.
Show full citation
Abstract
BACKGROUND: Although intravenous immunoglobulin G (IVIG) therapy has been reported in hyperbilirubinemia of Rh hemolytic disease, its use in ABO hemolytic disease has been reported in only a few studies. In our institute we have observed that almost 30% of babies with hyperbilirubinemia due to ABO hemolytic disease required exchange transfusion.

OBJECTIVE: To determine whether administration of IVIG to newborns with significant hyperbilirubinemia due to ABO hemolytic disease would reduce the need for exchange transfusion as a primary goal in these babies.

DESIGN: This was a prospective study involving all newborns with significant hyperbilirubinemia due to direct Coombs-positive ABO hemolytic disease.

METHODS: All healthy term babies with ABO hemolytic disease with positive direct Coombs test in the period between 2000 and 2002 were identified. Significant hyperbilirubinemia was defined as hyperbilirubinemia requiring phototherapy and/or rising by 8.5 micromol/l per h (0.5 mg/dl per h) or more to require exchange transfusion. Babies were randomly assigned into two groups: group 1 (study group) received phototherapy plus IVIG (500 mg/kg); and group 2 (control group) received phototherapy alone. Exchange transfusion was carried out in any group if at any time the bilirubin level reached 340 micromol/l (20 mg/dl) or more, or rose by 8.5 micromol/l per h (0.5 mg/dl per h) in group 2.

RESULTS: A total of 112 babies were enrolled over 2 years, 56 in each group. Exchange transfusion was carried out in four babies in the study group, while 16 babies in the control group required exchange. Late anemia was not of concern in either group. No adverse effects related to IVIG administration were recorded.

CONCLUSION: Administration of IVIG to newborns with significant hyperbilirubinemia due to ABO hemolytic disease with positive direct Coomb's test reduces the need for exchange transfusion without producing immediate adverse effects.

I have to applaud the calmness of words used by 'masking' all along despite the hotness of this topic and the enthusiasm to defend the truth. The likes of joyandfaith choice of word is not really healthy. While will all like to stand by the truth, our manner of defending the truth goes a long way to say something about our belief. For the likes of 'ucham' and others who keep asking about 'fractions' 'masking'have answered you to a greater extent that it is base on 'conscience'. Perhaps you are not completely fine with that, that's why 'atolayeba' possibly direct you to the website. In summary, it is understandable that we cannot all sleep and face one direction, but with calmness and mutual respect we can accommodate other peoples' position on matters.

My brother, incase you didn't comprehend my question which is evident from your reply, my question is what is the Scriptural ground for allowing members to accept Blood fractions?

You do know that blood fractions is gotten from stored blood and other components ba? Even the name tells you that "Blood - Fractions".

Even if the fraction is 0.0001% the fact remains that it is that fraction of blood that makes it what it is. So what scriptural backing do you have for this?

I beg that you think long and hard about this question and get back to me with a scripture if you can find any showing your answer. The world is watching.

As for going to your website, I've gone and not one scripture was quoted to answer the question. If there's a scriptural answer to my question that you have gotten from your website please share it here I want to read.

Last last they are all term babies. You are calling me quack but you failed to see that all the babies were healthy and were term.

Let me keep laughing.

Somebody say I am a quack. Study conducted on healthy babies with jaundice
2 babies amongst the babies who had immunoglobulin and phototherapy had EBT while 16 babies who had just phototherapy had EBT.

This procedure whether you like it or not is very important in the neonatal world.

I did not see the ones for preterm and low birthweight, very low birthweight, extremely low birthweight and also sick new borns

You know the funniest thing about this whole brouhaha is that 80% of those speaking against the Witnesses actually believed that when someone dies they go to heaven, Isn't it ironic that if a person dies as a baby or kid . Their heaven is automatic according to their belief , Yet they don't want to reject transfusion and allow the baby go to heaven and be saved, Rather for the baby to grow and become a Potential Hellfire Candidate ?

Which other options are used when the newborn meets the criteria for absolute indications of exchange blood transfusion?

Another baby killer spotted.
Did the child tell you he is against it?

The place of the doctor is to inform the parents of the options. It is for the parents to choose the options. If exchange blood transfusion is the last option and the parents opt out of that one... then they should use the others and not apply that one by force.
If a child is in an accident and is placed on life support.... is it the doctor / hospital that makes the decision to cut life support? If the parent decides to pull the plug.... should the doctors prevent them from doing so? .... prevent the parent from killing their child?
