Whats the best way to have handled this situation.
Rider made an order to destination 'farawa' we reached the exit route from the express and she said its still ahead. I continued speeding for about 10 more minutes with no end in sight and she continued saying her destination is at the front, while we have passed her initial destination by miles.
She then said she doesn't know the place. I canceled the ride and requested for price review. She asked for the correct destination and we were referred back to the earlier place she ordered for. I asked her to reorder so we can go back to the place. She refused and said that she is getting down there to find her way on her own.
How best to handle such situations?
Lol... so she didn’t pay you?
How did you finally resolve the issue with her.

I was wondering how, wa this happening when you typed this mail or had already happened!?

Hello guys, how hustle? I took an uber today, (acted cool, guy no no say me sef was once a driver).

Me: morning boss I just ordered a ride
Driver: are u in ****
Me : Yes i am, I'm going to the local airport (told the guy my destination without him asking)
Driver : Ok sir I'm on my way

Got in.. sat at the front, noticed the guy was kinda sleepy.

Me: boss are you good? You seem to be sleepy? (This was 5:01am)

Driver : not really, I'm good.
Lemme cut the story, I showed the guy my uber/taxify driver app told him to relax and I drove.

Getting to Maryland traffic light driver don sleep. I smiled and I felt for the guy. I woke him up at MM2.

Me: took his phone and end trip.. see the fare price, take money (small tip included) told him to put off AC and play loud music or he should just enter forte oil and park and sleep.

Got to Abuja, story is for another day. I sat in the plane just wondering and thinking...

You should scan incase you have any other DTC

Happy new year elders in the house.

The sweetness of the hustle just carry my head Waka. Abuja is cool and the riders are quite friendly, especially the young Hausa nyarinyas.

Had one particular experience.

Got a request on Ocar, rushed to pick the rider. Called while I was on my way, choiiii.... Sweet calm angelic voice.

As I got to the location and called her that I was outside. She came out with another sweet babe. Entered the ride and I started the car. Ewo!!! AC no gree ON... I tried all I could think of, turned off the car and back again... No luck. Na wa oo, local man don fall hands be that?

I just gat to summon morale tell them say AC no gree ON and I was expecting blabbing and lambasting. However, the response I got made me to look back.

Local man: Please am sorry the AC just failed. I don't know what went wrong.

Omo Sexy Hausa: Is it just the AC?

Local Man: Yes it is just the AC.

Omo Sexy Hausa: It is OK... Let's get on with the trip.

Me for my mind... If this na Lagos, wetin for happen. If na other tribes or all these slay babes... How I got do.

One more thing, most of the folks around here no dey form Car owner CEOs... They prefer sitting in front with you, except for a few of them who are just trying to form bigshots on top OCar N500 trip.

I Ajoks.

I will like to link up with you with as soon as I get back to Abuja,.
I am Planing to start my e hailing business there in Abuja.

Kindly hit me up.

Thanks

According to him, he has no problem if he the 'driver' cant make it for the 5pm pick up, he only wants to be informed beforehand at least a text around 4pm to notify him of unavailability.

Dude. Request 20k a week, express your concerns (stopovers, etc) and make sure he understands your terms and take it. From what you described, trust me you want to drive this guy.

What year is your matrix? Is your cruise control working? Could be speed sensor, abs module or lose connection to ECU. I really think with the lights you have on it's a loose ECU cable or worst case, ECU is bad (but I doubt it's bad). Do NOT let a Kazeem near this.

Bosses....Please i just got my Vehicle papers today, done necessary servicing and ready for work. But my license is not yet out, this is the only thing the man gave me to drive for now pending when the driving school cert will be out before i can proceed to capturing. Will any of the companies accept this from me?
My brother this paper wey you hold so een, it doesn't cover you on the highway. It's meant to be used for city driving but if you upload it and they accept it good for you but FRSC go chop you well.

I just pray your Driving school cert comes out fast. I also had something like that around August 2018, it wasn't until September 2019 before the certificate came then proceeded for capturing. Now I had the permanent license.

I drove to Benin with that paper more than 10 times but I no they gree wait for those guys in Blue.

All the best man.

The first time, I got a request from one of those estates on Lekki-Epe Expressway. Google maps said I should pass one street like that, connect with Silverbird Road and enter the estate from Silverbird Road. That was how I put my head.

It was rainy season, so there were puddles of water everywhere. Since its Lekki, before I put the car in a puddle, I come down and measure the depth of the puddle. I had a special dip stick I use. Come and see people staring at this emergency surveyor. The road was muddy too, so it was a constant battle not to sink the car in the mud. In fact, there was a specific instance when the car glided out of control and the bumper hit a fence!

People were just staring at me like "Where is this Oga going?"

Last last, I now got to one major puddle. The guys around warned me - "Oga, moto no dey pass dat place wey you wan enter. Your moto go sink." Me, stubborn Surveyor, came down with my stick to check how far. The major puddle swallowed the whole stick. The stick was the height of the car's window level. There was no way around the major puddle, this was last bus stop for me.

I looked around and suddenly realized that the fence I hit earlier was actually the flood barrier to the sea! The sea was not more than 50m away from where I was. See the gate of the estate I was going to in front of me. Only the puddle separated me from Silverbird Road.

I asked the people around how to get to the estate, they told me to go back to the express and turnaround into Silverbird Road. I didn't like how that sounded.

I called rider and told him where I was. He had to come meet me there.

I prefer connecting via Express especially Uber app gives street shortcuts. Those street roads are usually very bad. Sometimes Uber app completely miss the way or direct one to pass through a private compound

I used the Alternative route (Oniru) so there wasn't a toll fare.

That alternative route that is very bumpy causing car maintenance cost as compared to express. Your best bet is to take only the morning trip with favourable conditions

No, because i think he is testing you to see what you do and he's actually low maintenance. It's what I would do. Make him the counter offer with your terms and concerns clear and see his response.

I remember one lady I picked from Cubana VI around 11:30pm one of those nights. She was going to somewhere around Palmgrove-Onipanu area. I started the trip and saw her destination. I loaded Google maps and we were on our way.

...

Both of us soon calmed down after shouting at each other back and forth. Last last, Google maps got us to her destination.

I'm sure she would have rated me 3 stars or less.

Good day sir, search of a woman on Nairaland she does genuine license. Anytime I’m stopped and frsc or police take a look at my license, they are always dumbfounded because it’s genuine and original. This is her contact 08023138853. Her name is pattfb or so can’t remember. 1 month and you have the temporary. Good luck
