I think about 270k naira.
I'll check my PC later & share.
PTE 3 times failed
IELTS once (I enrolled in an IELTS class) passed.
HEADYWORLD:

Thanks for the insight

How much did you pay for the assessment?
Can you share your job description letter with us, that was sent to TRA, to know the format?
Did you write PTE or IELTS for 4 times or mixture of both?

Thanks in anticipation

Bro do you think that those that have assessed already can benefit from this. A year was deducted by vetassess from my experience years. Do you think i should add the one year in filling my EOI. The one year will give me additional 5 points and the additional point will go a long way in getting nomination on time. Thanks.

I can't say. Please email DHA, they'd give the appropriate clarification.

Hi
Please which Polio Vaccination Certificate did you submit when your CO requested for one? Is it the Yellow fever card that you submitted?

Thank you
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by ExNigerian: 3:29pm On Jan 12, 2020
It doesn’t matter when you got assessed as long as it’s still valid. Will the additional points get you high enough to get nominated? If yes, then you should. Don’t leave no points on the table. Provided you have sufficient evidence and you worked in the nominated occupation.

Hello everyone, I am quite new to this thread, I am 35years of age, I have a bsc in sociology, work in the line of networking for 6 years and I possess a CCNP, MCTS and some other certifications.

Ielts scored above 6.0 on each section.

Can anyone advice on my next line of action?

Thanks

I think first thing is to go over this https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/working-in-australia/skill-occupation-list see what occupation best matches your experience.

Then go here https://www.acs.org.au/msa/information-for-applicants.html you’ll see what’s required to get assessed in your nominated occupation. Since you’re in the IT space. But chances are your 6 years experience would be discounted. Cos you have a non ICT degree.

Degree not in line with experience is a tough one for ACS. You may not get any year approved. Which Uni did you graduate from?

I attended the University of Benin, Sociology and Anthropology I have been working for 9 years now, all on IT, but 6 years on the networking line.

It does not seem you have enough years for ACS to deduct.

With your CCNP certification, getting a positive assessment will depend on the occupation you wish to nominate and the description. This is also not guaranteed as ACS may deduct the whole 6 years.

What year did you get the CCNP and BSc? Is the CCNP still active?

ACS deducts between 6-8 l years of experience when you have a lesser or non relevant qualification
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Bodacious1: 3:25pm On Jan 15, 2020
Ok thank you. One thing I need to clarify is: who determines the points for (relevant) university qualification?

I did not get your question.

Were you referring to relevancy of degree to occupation? Sociology and IT can never be related likewise

Perhaps you were referring to the classification of universities into Tier 1 or 2? That's done by Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). Sadly, Nigeria's education profile has not been updated since August 5, 2013.

Not degree relevance. If I'm submitting an EOI today, how do I know what points my degree would result in? For clarity, I studied computer science at the university of Lagos and am assessing with ACS. Thanks. @tunlex01

Your assessment result will state your degree AQF (if it's a bachelor's degree or Associate degree). Unilag BSc is a Bachelor's degree.

Is NSW open for 491 nomination now? They are meant to start accepting application from mid January but I'm not sure if they have started.

Hi all
I need some advice for my wife. She has 12 years experience in the bank as a financial investment manager as well as financial branch manager but her degrees both Masters and bachelor's are in geology but has short financial training courses from London Business School and Penn State US. She also has an IELTS score band 7. Can she get a positive assessment from Vetassess?

invest in Skill Assessment Support to know if it will fly or not. You can check it on Vetassess website.
