This is one of the boys of Abayomi Obabolujo.

I attended his seminar in Abuja last year.
He had some nice insights.
You know in his position, he interacts with a lot of people and may give you information off-camera that people may not be entirely comfortable putting it out on a forum like this.
I recall meeting him to ask him how he gets some info, he responded that to be candid, sometimes it is in the process of people trying to confirm sensitive info from him that he becomes aware that something is brewing up somewhere.
These are the kind of places newbies need to go and get the basic guides.
Professionals attend these kind of seminars to get what was not even part of the menu.... grin grin grin

best to look at d weekly chart
all d daily noise (xver et al ) is forming a weekly inside bar at the upper range of prev week
how to say dis in english is another matter dat will take too much time
all d noise is consolidation in summary of a much bigger move

(An "inside bar" pattern is a two-bar price action trading strategy in which the inside bar is smaller and within the high to low range of the prior bar)

@mcy56 I’m a newbie here, please about your dividend post I have a question. If dividends are declared and I have holding in stock say Zenith bank how do I reclaim the dividend immediately if let’s say I want to sell after some time, the issue of dividends is a bit confusing for me. Thanks for your help in educating us that want to learn.

Once dividend is declared:
* A qualification date will be announced shortly (Qualification date is the date all those having the stock and are in registrar's book will qualify to receive the declared dividend)
* A payment date is also announced (date you should expect the dividend in your bank account).

Now to your question, you have to start processing your e-dividend form(s) now. Zenith's Registrar is Veritas Registrars.
Visit the site below to download the form. Fill it and submit to the registrar (by mail or taking it to their office) OR submit thru your bank.

The problem with people like Obabolujo was that they promoted the stock market as a 'risk free' investment.

The inefficiencies and lax regulation make people to buy 'dead' companies and still make 'money'

Life has a self adjustment mechanism. The bubble must always crash.

NSE was made to look like a scam. Those that understood the nature of stock market investing left very early. The so called 'experts' got trapped and have their fingers burnt. Some knew that it was a scam (just like NOSPETCo, MMF etc) but they planned to beat the system so they joined and get trapped in.

Obabolujo an co got involved in insider trading and the public offer and right offer scam with active support by the brokers and banks! Most of them are conflicted. I still remember Proshare coming to SMN to argue about OandO spewing rubbish. I don't think he believed the rubbish but likely on payroll of OandO to launder their image.

I think Obabolujo himself was ignorant about so many things. He did not intentionally start out to mislead people!

People need to get back to understand what stock market investing beyond the kalo kalo and quick money making venture that people are after! Building wealth is a PROCESS. Most people that 'jam' wealth overnight almost always lose the wealth!

Follow the PROCESS.

No one should blame Obabolujo when it was obvious that they got overtaken by their GREED

Very apt.
That word patience is beyond a mere word, it is a virtue. Unfortunately, it has not been accorded the right attention by our present day society.
It is a principal component on which the earth is founded. No wonder Warren Buffet remarked that you cannot get a baby in one day by making 9 women pregnant.
I wish the investing public understands that after all analysis (both FA & TA) are done, patience is what we actually trade, not shares.

Let me add this too: If you are considering buying some other dividend paying stocks in future, you may just buy like 10 units of them so you can use it to process their dividend forms ahead of time.

We have different threshold. Unfortunately when people join a forum like this, they dont understand that our risk profile differs. So when you follow someone with different risk profile, when the risk materializes then response will be different. When people use SHORT TERM funds for LONG TERM INVESTMENT because someone told them of a 50% return in 2 weeks what do you think will happen?

Then you have people averaging down and the more they buy the lower the market goes! How patient can they be after they've spent rent and school fees money to buy shares expecting to make 50% in 6 months only to be at 25% loss!

Then you have those that don't fully understand the strategic reason behind some moves. You have people buying illiquid stock to get on the board. No plan to sell. Now you joined because it was gaining 10% everyday with the hope of selling! You suddenly discover that what you have is paper profit because no one is BUYING smiley

People need to develop a plan and follow the plan. Yes you can update your plan BUT don't do follow follow because of our risk profile, objective etc are DIFFERENT.

You can help us to post the chart sir.

- sure but I shy away from dem ,cause some dont know basic candle sticks to they dont really know wat they are looking at
- Last week engulfing candle is very important , similar to that week in June when price moved from N9.75 on monday to Fri 11.55
(engulfing weekly candles are powerful trend signals showing a shift in trend (see access , uacn et al), d bearish ones too shud not be ignored, shows d end hehe) - anyways price broke above prev 8 week closures , so its a very bullish signal
- FWD to last week , similar candle pattern or action, from n13.80 on Mon to 15.40 close even tested n16.30 highs were we saw profit taking
- dat pattern is wat caught my attention not the FA or BUA blah blah, pipu knew wapco was cheap since Oct , its d move u want to be part pff not cheap , another story
- so price broke previous 10 weeks closure ... gaddam , d FA buyers below are happy, they have been vindicated after many months
- the bigger pic shows d support below N14 is now the new higher low, took time too, (since oct)
- now we have a inside bar forming at the upper range of last week .. its a good time to buy some and letss watch how it unfolds
- dat move or action from prev charts across d world suggest higher probability of higher prices , patterns are just summary of human emotions
occuring again and again if u know how to spot dem
Summary / Out look
- a close above prev week 15.40 is also a buy
- a close above 16.30 hig is also a buy (52 week high begat more 52 week highs )
Stop
- a break below N13.7 to N14 support is a sell cause an up trend is series of HH (higher highs) and HL (higher Lows), breaking below a HL invalidates d trend

sorry for dis long banter ! trying to summarize sef is not easy , make i find d chart

You cant receive dividend if you sell before qualification date. It means you didnt qualify nau. grin
